  • Artificial Intelligence is taking over and Muslims are definitely not immune to its impact. Everything from language learning, to image generation and even voice models are going viral in what seems to be the “A.I revolution”.
    OnePath Network sat down with Chief Scientist Dr Waleed Kadous to ask him all the difficult and tough questions about Artificial intelligence. Dr Kadous has played a leading role in the incorporation of Ai in major global corporations such as Google and Uber.
    00:00 - Introduction
    01:51 - What is A.I?
    03:10 - How difficult is it to Authenticate A.I.?
    04:30 - Can A.I. become Conscious?
    05:13 - How will A.I. change our relationships with people?
    06:19 - Will A.I. be the cause of human extinction?
    07:33 - How can Muslims utilise A.I.?
    08:21 - Do you personally trust A.I.?
    10:11 - Does A.I. pose the same problem as 'Sheikh Google'?
    11:29 - How biased are A.I. language models?
    13:16 - Will A.I. make our society unintelligent?
    14:42 - Is there a Transhuman agenda in A.I.
    15:21 - Does A.I. cast a doubt to the all-inspiring creation of Allah?
    16:06 - Is A.I. assuming the role of God?
    17:03 - How can Muslims make sure that A.I. doesn't ruin their relationships with their creator?
    17:54 - Where do you see A.I. moving in the next couple of years?
    19:01 - Should Muslims embrace this new technology?

      In 1910 a Russian American Harvard math genius and linguistic expert named Ivan Panin proved the Bible mathematically with incontrovertible evidence. Watch - Math proves the Bible. More recently it was proven forensically by J Warner Wallace, a cold case homicide detective, in his book, “Person of Interest”. Wallace gives ample evidence to convince any jury the veracity of the Bible. Bible firsts include: knowing about ocean springs and mountains, that life is in the blood, that the earth hangs on nothing and is a sphere, and there is much more. The Bible predates the Quran by six hundred years.

    I remember reading about the resistance to printing technology by the Ottomans (if I'm not mistaken) but embraced by Christian Europe. The Europeans translated and published books after books that they obtained from Islamic Spain and progressed while the Ottomans were left behind and nicknamed as The Sick Man of Europe.

    • @tbouni
      @tbouni 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There was a reason behind the fact that the ottomans and scholars over the world were against it. First of all it would destruct the concept of seeking knowledge through the proper channels. The process of learning with a teacher gives you the context you need to really understand the knowledge in a way you cannot learn in books. The printing press was also a tool to shape and direct the thinking of the masses. Controlling the minds of millions became much easier with this technology, because the only you had to do was printing that which is in the interest of the elite. The printing press was also a tech which was used during ww2 to manipulate soldiers and was a powerful weapon for each side. It has its benefits,, Alhamdoulilah, I do not condemn the use of the printing press, but the story behind the initial rejection is more complicated than someone would think.

      Printer was banned in the Muslim land by the Ottomans for almost 200 years and it was a major set back for us

    • @YA-xo7ru
      @YA-xo7ru 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      They didn't banned because they had people who use to write the books like an industry so they didn't want people loose their jobs. What caused their down fall was not printing books, but they neglected the duty of Jihad and indulged themselves for the dunya. The sahaba who crisscrossed the whole world wasnt technologically savvies, but they understood the word of Allah and applied to their daily lives. That is why we mention thier names continuously. So each one of us has to honestly ask ourselves how much time we devote to worshiping Allah SWT, how much Quran are we reading, or giving Sadaqa or helping people for the sake of Allah. If we are not doing this we will all be in the trap of Sheydan. Have some accountability to your soul, save your souls and then think about the Umah. However what I see is people who don't acount themselves accountable and still thinking they can save the Umah.

      When someone asks me if a Muslim is saved, I first want to point out God’s love towards them, and all of us. He still loves them with all His heart and that’s why he sent Jesus.
      God was willing to die for Muslims, for Hindus, for Buddhists, for Catholics, for atheists, for gays, for murderers, for you, for me, for all of us.
      The problem is NOT outward. It’s inward.
      Now, I am not saying Muslims are saved. There is a choice that we all must make. The Bible is littered with scriptures about not hardening our hearts. There are countless warnings about hell and the danger of unbelief. There is no way to God except through belief in Jesus.

    Muslim scholars must train an Ai based on authentic Islamic sources like (Quran, Hadith, life of the prophets, Authentic Islamic Books, Etc) and make it available in as many languages as possible then put it up Online for public use, and constantly update it and correct its mistakes, it will be extremely beneficial, instead of searching through hadith book's for hours you could just ask the AI which hadith talks about this subject, and it will give you all of them with references. Or for a layman when he has a question and can't find a good scholar or a knowledgeable person, instead of searching on Google or ChatGPT and getting all kinds of misinformation. They can ask this Ai and get authentic correct answers.

    As-salamu alaykum everyone! 🕌
    After watching this intriguing video, I believe it's essential for us as Muslims to approach the advancements in AI with an open mind and critical thinking. While AI can bring tremendous benefits to society, we must also be mindful of the potential challenges and ethical considerations it presents.
    As followers of Islam, let's remind ourselves of the core values our faith teaches us - compassion, empathy, and the pursuit of knowledge for the betterment of humanity. It is crucial for us to actively engage with AI developers and researchers, promoting responsible and ethical AI practices that respect human rights, dignity, and privacy.
    As we move forward, let's work together to harness the potential of AI while ensuring it aligns with the principles and teachings of Islam. While AI offers remarkable technological progress that can benefit humanity by enhancing efficiency and solving complex problems, it also poses significant ethical and moral challenges. Islam encourages the responsible use of knowledge and emphasizes the sanctity of life, human dignity, and empathy. The risk lies in the potential misuse of AI, leading to ethical dilemmas like loss of privacy, unemployment, and the creation of autonomous systems without accountability. It is essential for Muslims to approach AI with conscientiousness, ensuring its development aligns with Islamic principles, fostering compassion and the greater good for all of humanity.

    • @Islam4Wak
      @Islam4Wak 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Absolutely! You've beautifully summed up the dual nature of AI advancements. On one hand, it offers immense potential to uplift humanity and address complex issues, but on the other, it raises serious ethical concerns that must be addressed.
      Islam's emphasis on responsible knowledge usage and valuing human life and dignity aligns perfectly with the approach we should adopt towards AI. As Muslims, it is incumbent upon us to engage in discussions and initiatives that promote ethical AI practices. We must encourage the development of AI systems that prioritize privacy protection, fairness, and accountability.
      Let us be proactive in advocating for AI research and implementation that serves the greater good and benefits all of humanity. By approaching AI with conscientiousness and aligning its development with Islamic principles, we can pave the way for a more compassionate and equitable future. Together, let's strive to harness the potential of AI while safeguarding the rights and well-being of individuals worldwide. Thank you for highlighting these critical considerations! 🙏🤝🌍

    I think Muslims should participate in the AI revolution. There is a ton of wisdom Islam can bring into the "Intelligence" part of "AI". However, applying AI to further ingrain religious beliefs is as nonsensical as asking if a submarine can swim. It's not a well-formed question.
    About 2/3rds of the other interview questions were very well thought out, and succeeded at extracting equally thoughtful and meaningful answers from Dr Waleed Kadous. Kudos to both of you!

    • @ExtraVictory
      @ExtraVictory 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can't be solved. Im Agnostic and was born in Japan, where there is a Billion dollar porn industry for anything you can imagine already. Into little girls? We have Loli porn. Into dead bodies? We have necrophilia. Into feces? We have scat porn. Into animals? We have furries, Into violent assault? We have nonconsent, into men that look like women? We have traps. And the result of this, is that the birthrate becomes immensely low. Since anyone can already achieve anything based on what they personally like. AI will only make this sort of thing even easier.
      At least in the west, or middle east, there are laws against certain porn and it could be legal trouble if someone is caught. But in places like Japan where anything goes, it really can't be solved. And no matter where you go, people will continue to marry less. The human species will eventually need artificial wombs and mandatory sperm and egg cell donation to keep going. We are already discussing that in Japan lol

    I think it was a brilliant interview. Right to the point, very well thought out and an intelligent discussion. I agree with what the guy had to say. My only observation is that the video description seems slightly misleading and negative.
    He is not just sending a warning, but asking us for us to keep a cautious approach by practicing restraint, due diligence and doing research before jumping to conclusions. May be something like, " How to navigate the AI from a Muslim perspective" would have been better.

    A brilliant and essential conversation for all Muslims. Dr. Waleed Kadous is a very wise Muslim and human being. What he says should be discussed in all forums in Muslim countries if we are to successfully cope with 21st century challenges. In particular governments in Muslim countries and Muslim political leaders in non-Muslim majority countries should ensure that such enlightened and informed discussions take place in all forums including, mosques, educational institutions, the electronic and print media, social group meetings, parliamentary committees, speeches of political leaders, etc etc. There will be ferocious opposition from traditional quarters but if they are properly engaged with mutual understanding can emerge and the first step towards integrating the imperatives of the 21st century with our abiding faith can be taken.

    This conversation reminds me of the hadith, "Before the Hour comes, there will be years of deceit, in which a truthful person will be disbelieved and a liar will be believed; and the insignificant will have a say’.
