    It's so fascinating to see the range of people who come in for treatment and all the skin types and conditions... it's REAL, so it's a really practical resource, because even if the condition isn't thesame, to see your own skin type and be able to know what's possible and why that could be, is pretty invaluable! Plus diet! I always wonder about that, because lactose isn't an issue with me at all, but simple carbs are definitely cheek area inflammatory. My new favourite channel!! :D

    Awesome video. I appreciate your patience and honesty with her progress. For our homecare regimen, when and for who is it best to use the exfoliating mask vs purifying mask?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      purifying for sensitive, calming days as much as 3 times a week (don't let the mask dry though) Exfoliating has aha in it. It is stronger.... 1 or 2 times ....again, don't let to dry:))

      Milia for me is usually because I'm using things that are too heavy. Oils or even sometimes creams are too much in summer, when it's super humid. Like, it's good to use moisturizer, but gels are more than enough sometimes? Just my experience :)

    Thank you Nerida Joy for another informative video. I would love some advice if you have the time please. I have just started to use Rejuvi products and am wanting to have regular facials to further improve my skin. Unfortunately there isn't an aesthetician in my city who uses Rejuvi products and I'm concerned if I have a facial with an aesthetician using another range I will be getting conflicting advice. Would you recommend I just have a standard Ella Bache type facial for the deep cleansing and massage aspect or should I find an experienced aesthetician who may recommend other products? I'm in a conundrum🙄

      Sammantha Combs you can do a blood test to figure it out.

      @src4409 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ruta Undefined I've already done that and I've cut out foods that I'm sensitive to, but I'm still having serious skin issues. Just wondering how Nerida diagnoses.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately the blood tests don't tell all. Skin type is you are either dry, combo or oily. Sub-condition is the outer layer...often too dry. Foods depends on your skin issues. If you watch my many videos you will learn a lot about face mapping, skin types and food related issues. Its a very long conversation by texting so that is why I do my videos for you all to learn:))

    • @src4409
      @src4409 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Devon Pfeifer I have an autoimmune disease (hashimotos) and my skin has changed so much in the last year or two. I believe it's oily with surface dryness. Acne prone. I've suffered my whole life since puberty. The acne actually got worse after going gluten, dairy, soy, and GMO free. This makes me wonder if an oil I'm using to cook with might be the culprit for some of it. The acne is usually hard white filled large bumps under the skin all through the area directly following under my cheek bones and sides of my face. It's also moved to my hairline, jawline, and next to my chin. The hairline and jawline have become better and infrequent. My forehead has become prone to breakouts as well. My pores are huge on my nose, next to it, and on my forehead. I also get blackheads all over. The weirdest thing is on the sides of my face, in my hairline. That has never happened before and my pores don't seem to be large there, but I can feel small bumps and see a tiny black dot under the skin. I have become very prone to wrinkles... Autoimmune. My body isn't aging well right now. My crows feet and neck are getting pretty bad. My eyes are dark and sunken looking and I hydrate very well. I don't wear makeup hardly ever. Some of the acne is what I would call an oil bump. They are painful to touch, large, red, and only oil comes out of I try to extract them...I generally just leave them. The breakouts on the sides of my face have gotten better by adding moisture, but I still have uneven texture and can extract white stuff... It comes out like squeezing a toothpaste tube and seems to be filled quite a bit with the white substance. Nerida's office contacted me and gave me a regimen to try so I just ordered that today.

    how to treat over exfoliated oily skin?

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Any skin that is over processed needs healing to the acid mantle. You’ll want to look at products that contain phospholipids/sphingolipids-ingredients that support the cell membrane and sensitivity... humectants like glycerin, aloe vera, and also bioflavonoids to support the sensitivity...
      You need to be on a very basic routine for 2-3 weeks before you try to go in and use stronger treatment products again, so you can build up strength in your skin barrier.

    What foods would u recommend someone with dry acne prone skin stop eating? Also what exactly causes someone with naturally dry skin to have issues with acne in the first place? Most people associate acne with oily skin, but my skin never gets oily not even on my tzone and I deal with acne all the time. I do only break out along my cheeks n jawline where I happen to be most dry. I dont think it's just an oily skin type with surface dryness. But I also dont hear much about people with naturally dry acne prone skin, so it doesnt seem too common...? Love ur videos by the way ❤

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most skins sadly are surface dry..... even a dry skin can be surface dry.....meaning they need outer protection. I show in my videos that most of my acnetic models are oily but also very surface dry. If you breakout, you are most likely surface dry. If your acne is not painful to the touch it sounds food related. Checks and jaw line is stomach and large intestine.... in face mapping. Have you watched Juliette, Carol, Shanlyn and Daniella videos yet? They may help you as its a lengthy conversation :))
