That last note at 1:26 completely sells the outro for me. Perfect closure to this song mixed with the visuals of Deku smiling at Hawks. It just feels so complete.
I love how they show hawks and deku staring at each other. Cause Hawks playing both sides probably is losing his humanity, but still sees deku looking up to him. It’s as if hawks forgot he’s the number 2 hero

I was kinda hoping for a darker ending that focused on the My Villain Academia arc, giving a sneak peek on the pain of the villains pasts (kinda like the one with Eri during the Overhaul arc). But this was good too
I remember reading that the artist who made the song was instructed to do it with Deku and Shigaraki in mind but in the end Bones decided to do the ending focused on Hawks, does anyone know if that's true? because the lyrics make me think so.....
I read that too. It's true that he written it specifically for Deku and Shigaraki but bones decided that Hawks and Endeavor made more sense for some reason. Probably because they flipped the arcs around and decided Shigaraki only needed a few episodes for mva arc. Kind of disrespectful imo.

Dude every time a MHA outro drops I get more and more interested about Hawks Past. It looks so mysterious, and with the outro 2 to Season 4 and this it just makes you wonder how was his life growing up? who took care of him? and who taught him to use his powers? Did he look up to endeavor as an infant and why? Highly appreciate if anyone can explain

I love how distinct this outro is from all of them, and the tune of this song is all over the place but in a good way, then the fact how it gradually changes tune at a steady pace. I just love everything about this song, the melancholy tune, everything.

When I first saw this ending I was like “Mmm. This ones okay.” But now it’s one of my favorite Ed’s. Something about this ED really gives some type of emotion and that’s why I love it so much!

I'm finally just getting to this season/arc and I know I am not prepared for what might happen to Hawks....
While the visuals with Hawks are cool, this song is confirmed to be about Shigaraki and Deku's relationship and how they view each other. So I wish there was more of that.
