This beating's so bad that it basically *breaks* that hold and demonstrates just how unfit All For One is to actually challenge Izuku's full power, whereas his *real* nemesis Tomura has him on the backfoot from the moment he emerges.

I think you're misreading the scene. We heard the 4 punches when he did them, that was just displayed to us as the viewer as it looks cool. Buuuut, for them (LeMillion and the rest of the heroes) they saw Deku punch Shigaraki high up in the air and also saw those 4 shockwaves practically instantly (light moves faster than sound) and then the sound of the attack came all at once.
@tdoto331 The sound of the attack came ALL AT ONCE, correct, so it doesn't make sense for him to ask "The sound's coming later?" because it literally doesn't even by its own logic.
Imagine if deku used OFA 100% naturally without straining himself. Then deku used gear shift and fa jin to increase from that output to 250%, then he would reach to the point where he is fast at speed of light. (Flash level!)

That's due to Tomo Okubo storyboarding the episode. She's good when it comes to emotional moments but really bad when it comes to action. That's the reason why characters doesn't really move that much and most sequences get limited in terms of animation

0:16 Has got be my favorite effect/animation for a Quirk in this show, while 0:41 is definitely among the lines I just can't stop listening to if solely because of the delivery and the genuine panic in Shigaraki's voice

From a physics point of view second says gearshift changes speed without inertia. That means his punches even tho at super speed, have the same power as a normal punch without the speed. Right? An example could be throwing a sponge at someone at high speed. Even tho it hits you at 400 km/h it will never harm you since it has almost no mass, and with no mass no inertia. And with no inertia its like a delicate touch.
It might be refering to the inertia of shigaraki ,like he wasn't sent flying from the punch which would have reduced it's impact and instead kept in place to recieve maximum damage during the 4 punches while allowing deku to move ,change directions or stop almost instantly ignoring his previous momentum.
