Great to see a new release at last - I had a little given up hope of more so you caught me out and sorry to take so long to get to it. But it was well worth the wait - a really meaty piece! I gave this a full and close listen and everything about it is world class - the composition, the recording quality and of course the performance. I enjoyed the images too (what program do you use to pthat together?) though I would have liked to see a video of you actually playing. I imagine some serious rehearsal went into this, not a single glitch that I could discern and it all flows so naturally and beautifully. The last flurry of notes to conclude was really something! Ahhh, I'm gushing like a fan! I hope you get a million views, my friend. I'll come back for more listens and I hope you don't wait so long for the next. 😊👍🎸🔥 ♪♪♪⚡
As always, I’m very grateful for the generous words, observations, and listening! This was an audio-only recording from about six years ago, hurriedly arranged one evening for a very specific event which sadly never materialized. Long story. A very short snippet of video does exist from the session (including me cracking a little humor to help keep levity for everyone involved that night). The passage of time it sat shelved finally permitted me to hear this recording with fresh ears. I do recall minimal but very skillful editing done that night between the engineer and producer, mainly comping certain passages from different takes, but it’s mostly live-a few clams still exist which I would’ve liked to have repaired. The stills I arranged for video using Davinci Resolve, which I used to edit the last two Brian May videos I did. Currently trying to wrap up a big project that has me stalled a bit, but hopefully I’ll get where I want to be with it. Once that’s done, other projects should follow quickly thereafter. Thanks again for watching and commenting!
