“Police Apology Was Worse Than The Incident” | Officer Tells Man Being Openly Jewish Is Provocative

  • The Met Police apologised after an officer made remarks about the appearance of Gideon Falter, the leader of an antisemitism charity, who was wearing a skull-cap near a pro-Palestine march in London.
Falter was told his presence was causing a "breach of peace."
Scotland Yard first apologised for the officer's comment but later retracted their statement and issued another apology for causing offense.
The initial statement was criticised as victim-blaming and the Met clarified that "being Jewish is not a provocation" and apologised again.
Falter, the chief executive of Campaign Against Antisemitism, stated he was not there to counter-protest but was walking after attending synagogue.
In a video, a police officer warned Falter of potential arrest, leading Falter to accuse the Met of creating "no-go zones" for Jewish people.
Peter Cardwell discusses the incident with former Conservative SPAD, Lauren McEvatt and Liberal Democrat activist, Matthew Hulbert.

It’s the hate mob comprised of many races and religions, that’s marching every week, costing tax payers millions every weekend.
Only a chin dribbling window licking moron couldn’t (or more likely intentionally for political/ideological reasons), see it or would attempt to blame a specific religion.
If they’re that concerned for the safety of individuals, some of the protestors have already broken law, decline the applications for any further protests.

He said he wanted to go that way to go home. So if you obviously think he is in danger just walking home you should have surrounded him and escorted him home. He should in no way be forced to wait until the protest ended to go home.
Also I know the British police don't traditionally carry guns but exactly how are they supposed to deal with a mob to protect themselves and anyone else? Do they have any weapons at all?

@@andysizzle8718 No. As an ex cop from the life on Mars era, I have been calling for the resignation of Mark Rowley for weeks. The police are paid to prevent incitement to murder and violence . It does not matter how much they are outnumbered, it is their duty to face the mob. That's what we did in the 70s , often outnumbered by 20-1 when dealing with drunken fights. The Met's performance is indefensible, the result of the politicising of the police and the appointment of yesmen at the top, and the removal of the Home Secretary who tried to get them to do their job. Sunak is a disaster, and so is his appointment of the failed PM Cameron as Foreign Minister, a declared appeaser of extreme Islam.

Your argument is flawed. This man was intent on causing a reaction. The police did their job by preventing a breach of the peace within the confines of the law.
If he walked through that crowd to provoke a reaction and achieved his goal the following would happen:
      1. He would get a shoeing
      2. Some unfortunate sod would have to go into the crowd to rescue the idiot that went in there to get said reaction, risking his/her safety and that of those in the crowd
      3. It would create even more division and upset between the two factions and potentially escalate in to a full scale riot
      4. You would all race to your keyboards to shout about how you could do it better and police should have stopped the idiot from getting hurt.
      5. The spineless PM would come out and say he is ‘appalled’ by the police
      6. The weasel mayor would immediately start calling for heads because he’s lost his own weasel head. 🤷🏻‍♂️
But please. If you feel you can do it better, chuck a stab vest on and get yourself in the mix! You could be the saviour that London has been screaming out for!

ban islam deport terrorist supporters let the people in this country vote to ban muslims or not ...before we are outnumbered or dont let none indigenous brits vote cos if it was banned then we would help solve immigration problems, stop terrorists , prevent the mass rape & torture of thousands of british white & sikh girls here, have thousands of mosques here repurposed for housing our homeless veterans. we can import nice cultures like the tibetans or white south african refugee farmers instead of fanatical death cult freaks

It's modern policing 101. They've been doing it to Tommy Robinson for years. Instead of dealing with the actual problem it's far easier to remove the person who has an issue with the problem. The cop even said it out loud, there are too many of them for us to deal with.

I am a dual-national, born in England, and am Israeli.
I could see the 'writing was on the wall' in England when in around 2014 during the protests then, I was walking around in Kensington, near the Israeli embassy, and there happened to be an angry mob yelling and screaming at the embassy building. I am visibly Jewish (I wear a kippa, etc). The police had cordoned off the road and anyone who wasn't part of the demo, me included, was told they had to go a different way and couldn't pass. When this was said to me by a police officer, I replied, "I'm not part of any protest, it's your job to keep me safe, I want to walk up the street to the station so I can go home. Arrest those who are making it unsafe for me to walk!". They told me they couldn't guarantee my safety, there were too many of them, and therefore I had to do what they said and walk an extremely circuitous route to the station or they would not let me pass.
It's got a lot worse since then, but as a qualified lawyer, I was pretty shocked to see the sad excuse for police policy that was evident on the streets that day.

But he didn’t say “I am concerned about your safety” he said the guy being openly Jewish would antagonise the crowd. He was clearly victim blaming (or at least potential victim). Another analogy might be ‘Sorry mMss, you can’t walk around in a skirt and T shirt, you might antagonise these men. Please cover up…or I will arrest you for breech of the peace”.

  • @SAHBfan
    @SAHBfan หลายเดือนก่อน +2

The police officer didn’t say, “As you are Jewish I am concerned about your safety and I would prefer you not to walk too close to this crowd as I fear they may attack you and I don’t think there are enough officers here to keep the mob off you…” That might have been less unreasonable- instead they blamed the potential victim.

Muslims in democratic countries around the world need to leave and retturn to their countries of origin or stop their anti- democratic, anti- Jewish, anti- Christian and anti- Western ways before the anti- Muslim demonsteations and actions get fully underway and this is starting now as a fully justifiable response to Islamic actions. The violence of the Iranian Hamas-led Palestinian movement has done noone any favours, least of all the Palestinians.
