- Once again it's time, time for PA Deer Camp 2021 Black Friday returns to start the shopping season, and the start of Pennsylvania Deer season is just one day away.
Glad I have the extra room in the Grand Cherokee L because it's packed for another 12 day stay. It's time, let's head up to Wellsboro, Tioga County for Pennsylvania Whitetail Deer Season 2021!
As like last year, the Chairman will join me for the first day and half of the season, then we'll pick it back up again on the following Friday when everyone else arrives and madness ensues. We did check out that other farm that's not too far away from us.
Something that seems like it will never get here, then starts to pick up speed in October, and the days start flying by. With the North Carolina trip, Delaware season muzzle loader (check that segment out for a nice buck), then regular season days start blending together and you find your self packing and looking for some great food to enjoy while we are there.
We did not get any Doe tags this year, so they will be off limits for us
Grab a beverage, and a snack, sit back and enjoy!
I was there alone from Sunday afternoon until Friday morning, (another video coming out soon). It's great to be there by myself, but that's not what the true Deer Camp is about. It's having a great time with friends and family is what builds memories, and keeps you coming back year after year.
Laughing and ball busting seem to reign supreme as always, one of the best things about Camp life. Food was outstanding again this year, some comic moments as Tony's Pizza was picked up. Camp Cook tried a smoked brisket stew with mixed results, a great segment when he gets cooking, Eric made chili again this year as requests from last year, and Shawn hit the mark with some Chicken Tikka Masala that was well received.
As it all should be, "Hey I'm on vacation!".

I'm glad I found this video. Brings back so many memories from my days in deer camp back in the 80's with my Pop-Pop in Centre County. The cabin and most of those guys are gone now so thank you for sharing this. Such good times and good memories to be made and shared.

Cherish every moment you get at camp with friends and family. This year we got hit with the covid . My son who was 29 passed away December 26th. My cousin who is 30 is still on a ventilator. Im glad i got to spend the time with them at camp. It was the last time we were all together.
Sorry to hear about the family getting hit hard. I defiantly relish the time we spend up there together.
Waited all year for this one, now my season is complete.
Really enjoyed this video and always, amazed how you can mix it up. Although no deer, looks like a great trip and you certainly capture what hunting and deer camp is all about. Now we have the long wait until next season.

Our camp has been going from 1974. My father and Uncle started it camping in pup tents. Just want to say i love your videos. I too do a lot of driving to get to my Fulton county Pa hunting camp from my home on Long Island. Unfortunately i and my brother have decided to sell because of the lack of deer and because of our aging. All of those who hunted at our camp will be missed as will the time we shared together there for the past 32 years. Where does the time go?

I miss the traditional opening day. I miss hanging out the weekend having a few beers telling stories busting balls. Leave it to the game commission to screw that up.

Always love your videos. I'm originally from PA and for the last 15-20 years my brothers and dad headed to deer camp in McKean County. Unfortunately we only managed to all be up there together once. One of my brothers and I recently retired out of the military and were going to make this journey more often but sone things have changed. But like you said it's the memories that count. We are not sure if we are going to continue this tradition, we lost our father to his battle with agent orange, just a few weeks ago. Kinda hard watching your video this year but it was definitely therapeutic. Keep them coming.

My Dad didn't hunt, but I know what you mean, I had hunted with Sr. for 25 years or so before his passing. My season was a lot of bucks, but only 2 maybe a third legal. All those bucks need at least another year and they will be wall hangers.

Love watching your life at deer camp! Very much like what my buddies and I do in Michigan. It's the time in camp that makes it fun, whether or not we get a deer!

No, we thought we may have a chance at the other farm this year, but proved uneventful. Many doe could have fallen, but I'd rather see them repopulate a little more. Thanks Scott!
@@whiterook85 , we harvest a lot of does each year to keep the the buck to do ratio closer to 50/50 as possible. It took a couple of years but really started paying off with more and bigger bucks being seen and harvested on our farm.
Not sure what it’s like in PA but in VA it works.
We killed 5 bucks and 11 does this year. Seems like a lot of does but only a small fraction of the population in reality.

I've watched your videos over the years, but never commented. We lost our camp last year due to divorce. First deer season for me ever without it. I can't wait to someday have one of my own.
There's something to be said about someone willing to document something like this every year. You mentioned your grandkids in the video...this is your legacy. It is very important to me to leave behind something my kids and grandkids can remember me by. You've got it figured out and I applaud your deer camp efforts every year.

Spent a week up camp in Forest County PA. Great time with family and friends. Watching you guys is like going back to camp each year. Flintlock hunting up Camp soon love it. Thank you for your efforts and taking us along with you.

Was a great deer that Shawn got this year, glad I had my camera along. As you can tell I was pretty excited also, normally don't curse that much when the camera is going. Glad you came along with us too.
I would have done the same if my son shot an 8 point. Lol If you would ever be interested in doing a live stream someday let me know. It would be neat to hear some stories over the years at the cabin and the success in Delaware.

Was a pretty long time to be there, gets to you after a while. I said I don't think I can do it again, my wife told me to go. Do you think she's trying to tell me something?
@@whiterook85 Yepper, LOl, Well this past summer I was up our OG cabin for two days when the wife called and said she tested positive for covid. I stayed up there for 5 more nights alone and it was a tad lonely especially at dinner time. Curious how you handles washing up?

Think you're right! During the cold months I heat water up in the kettle and just wash up. I did my hair over the empty trash can. Summer time we use the coleman shower bags. Also the Duke Cannon and Dude Showers are pretty good for getting cleaned up. Not as nice as a real shower, but during the winter, a lot warmer.

Thanks a lot Paul, had a pretty good time there this year. I had a few request to show what rifle we all use. Was a good way to put it in there. And yes, that was the "Trailslippa" challenge for sure. I didn't have to walk as much, just was a little cold. The wool socks really helped me make it through that one. Another classic "Camp Go Time" hunting video. Nice to see all the guys made it up for the annual PA hunt. Deer or no deer it's always great to be with friends and family. Those meals all looked so good and Camp Cook appears to be back in the game with the Dutch Oven Smoker Brisket stew. The Chairman even seemed to like it so it must of been good. Speaking of the Chairman, he was very generous this year to his RITP fans especially @ 36.03 Lol Hope your enjoying your 6.5 Creedmoor Whiterook. Would of been nice to have tried it on a buck down at that farm with the big long fields. Next year. Big congrats to Shawn on a dandy DE buck. Looking forward to the solo vid . Hello Ian, glad you enjoyed! I think RITPs is a Camp classic at this point. I know the Chairman wont forget about it. We had some good meals. I think I need to break out the bone-in Rib Roast again. Would have liked to test out the Creedmoor on something this year. NC or PA I didn't a good buck to present himself. In DE we can only use shotgun or pistol caliber, so no 6.5 there. I have the same Winchester XPR (same camo also) in .350 Legend. Shawn's buck was a real good one, as you could hear the beeps when we found it. Everyone was excited.
