  • KW-Z1000W Digital Multimedia Receiver review. Since this is such an expensive head unit, I go over what you will get and the stereo's best features. This JVC stereo will definitely transform the cabin of your car.

    This is an expensive head unit so it's worth knowing what you'll be getting out of it. Thanks for dropping by!

    Great review. I have the JVC KD-AVX77 in both of my vehicles but I’m getting the itch to upgrade. It’s nice but oh my, it’s expensive.

    Hey Bro, great video! Very in-depth. I was thinking about the head unit for my 2016 WRX, any issues with it covering up your vents?

    • @practicalcaraudio7080
      @practicalcaraudio7080  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you lower the head unit all the way down at install. it covers about half of the vents (at least from my perspective). Most of the time I didn't even need those top vents, but when I did I just angled the head unit down and got the full blast of the vents. It's certainly something to consider. Thanks for watching!

      @@practicalcaraudio7080 Thanks for the insight. That 10.1 HD screen is definitely appealing. Just hope prices can come back down soon. My plan B would be the Kenwood Excelon DMX957XR. Not too many head units on the market with an HD display.

      @@spiders0420 Yeah it's a beautiful screen for sure. The Pioneer floating HU has a much smaller bezel. but screen-wise this one is better.

      @@practicalcaraudio7080 hey man im considering getting this unit for my 2021 wrx sti so you said you can drop the head unit about half way the vents so its not too difficult to press the enter button on the subaru top screen?

    You should make it clear that if you want to run the Maestro, this unit along with Kenwoods are the only 2 brands that offer the most features. Pioneer offers Maestro but doesn't work well with all the features.

    You mentioned an adapter to bypass the parking break, what is it called? And can you bypass the brake by just grounding the parking break wire?

    Are you able to dim the screen really low at night? Or is there an option to turn the screen off without powering it down?
    Have you play around with screen mirroring and how well does that work?
    Great review, thanks for being thorough.

    • @practicalcaraudio7080
      @practicalcaraudio7080  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can dim the screen really low and I believe you can turn off the display as well, but don't quote me on that. Screen mirroring works perfectly with almost no lag. Thanks for dropping by!

    I got this unit in September of last year. I've had nothing but problems with connectivity. I finally called JVC/Kenwood and I have to mail them the head unit and they will attempt to fix or replace the unit. The plus side is the unit does display the error code.

      I never had a single issue with it, but every item is subject to have DOA or products with serious defects that make it out of the QA process. Sometimes it's just luck of the draw.

    FanTasTiC Radio… with (1) major complaint.
    The Kenwood equiv product DMX1057XR has 2 HD Video inputs. The JVC does not. As much as I luv this receiver, I’m limited to composite video for the Front and Rear cameras. Disappointing.
