For anyone wondering Boraele does indeed use the exact same command lines as Thule in Soulstorm. The only lines that are different are those during cut-scenes and the odd spoken line during dialogue . Scott McNeil does actually voice both respective commanders (Though Thule is later voiced by Fred Tatasciore in DOW II and on). Owing to Soulstorms rather rushed production (quite noticeable with little to no dialogue with other commanders in other factions) it's unsurprising the developers neglected to give Boraele a new command line set. Really Boreale should've had a new voice command set but I guess that would have made him more infamous than he already is!

And the same is true for chaos commanders (of whom there were one mroe... Lord Bale from vanilla, Lord Krull from Winter Assault, Lord Eliphas from Dark Crusade, and Lord Caeron from Soulstorm). Given the quality of the earlier games/expansions, I would think that keeping the normal in-game lines unchanged was intentional, not a result of rushed production.

Well this guy is someone who I can imagine as my battle brother. But gabriel angelos is someone, that can lead me into 3000 ork by myself and I would be still be confident in his lead.
Honestly, if he'd stayed out of Vance Motherfucking Stubbs' way, he'd have been fine. Far worse commanders have existed in the Imperium's history. His Steel Rain tactic was sound and by the book, he just got royally, utterly upstaged by Stubbs' sheer win.
While I definitively feel that Gabriel Angelos's voice was more striking, more intimidating, more inspiring(at least on several lines) and better overall, I can't help but genuinely also love Davian Thule's dry, Shakespearean tone. Several of Thule's lines are spoken with such such passion, that I meet them with a mixture of humor and genuine inspiration. The way he is like "TAKE THAT!" but he says it with such purpose that a part of me laughs and part of me can't help but love the guy and want to follow him into battle. He says it so seriously that even though it's a line that is so cliche that it's become a non-cliche(meaning it's so cliche nobody ever uses it anymore, betraying the meaning of the word "cliche") that I actually *believe* him if you know what I mean, I'm actually moved by it. It's like something Superman would say, and like when Superman says it, it feels like it actually means something.

Listening to this made me realize Boraeles voice wasn't really that bad. It was the cheesy script in the stronghold assault that made him infamous; not even Marneus Calgar could've made that look good :P
