Great video! Seems to be so many ways to use this desk ;) How would you rate the surface of the desk, is the material nice? I saw somewhere it is easy to get scratches and holes if you bump something into the surface.
Haha, thank you very much Kevin! Good question. I rate it 7 out of 10. I do really like the black mat finish. I haven’t noticed it to scratch easily, but yesterday I did notice a little bump in the top layer. And I have really no idea how that happened. So I guess it has to be handled with care. Hope that answers your question!
thanks, have you used the desk any longer? I've seen some opinions that the counterop is very easy to scratch and chip? any ideas? I am using ikea malm and been looking to upograde! Not really want to use it in standing mode but would be nice to have different heights for pc or console gaming or movies watching since i have a tv on my desk
@hiczok Thanks for watching! Unfortunately it does chip and scratch quite easily. But I guess it also depends on the way you use it. I unbox and film products on it, which involves camera mounts sliding around on the surface. And occasionally something slips out of my hands, leaving marks on the countertop. On the other hand, if you’re gonna use it for gaming and for watching TV, I don’t see a whole lot going wrong. For the price though, I do believe it should have been made more robust. Apart from that, and a little bit of instability in highest position, I do really love this desk!
I think you can, because this frame has 2 fixed settings, so it can be used with both a 180x80cm and a 140x80cm table top. So the only thing would be that your table top sticks out 5cm more on both sides. Hope that answers your question!
Is it possible to put my computer to the desk, along with monitor, speakers, headphones and so on? I really like this table for it´s dimensions and possibility to set up the height, but I´m worried that putting all my stuff on the desk is very risky, because it´s weight limit.
@marek vrabec Good to hear that. Be aware though that the desktop surface is pretty vulnerable. For the price, I think it should have been more durable.
@@TechNovelTies That’s absolutely not a problem. I’m a really careful and calm type of gamer and I don’t plan to do any craziness on my desk.😉👍 And if something happens, I’ll just simply order the new desktop as well.🙂
i had the case with others tables from ikea, that if you lift the tabel on the top the bolds get out of the wood, how strong are the bold going in to the table from teuring, can you tell me something about that, this tought keeps me from buying, greetz marcel

For the purpose of this video I actually had to move it around a couple of times, holding it at the table top. Nothing happened though. I’ve only been using it for a month now, so I couldn’t say what would happen if you were to move it regularly, for a longer period of time. I do believe the connection strongly depends on the quality of the table top. Time will tell if this one is better than the Ikea average. @marek vrabec It’s able to lift 90kg in the video 02:58 So I’m sure it will be able to lift everything you want to put on there👍
