Always nice to visit other plots for ideas, tips and a cheeky nose.. but most importantly to share knowledge with like minded & passionate gardeners. Danny 🌱
What a lovely plot. I loved the way you met Glyn truly explain himself and shade the background. Well done Glyn, I really love your flags 😊 interesting about the plastic warming the soil. Makes sense but something I hasn't actually thought about. Thanks for sharing. Jane
What a great achievement, u,ve work so hard to get to where u are today, ur plot is amazing. U should be so proud of ur self. Well done. Thanks for letting us see ur brilliant allotment. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for an excellant video Gemma with briiliant editing (Vince). It was a great pleasure to have you here and look forward to your return later in the summer.
Hi glen and thanks for letting us view your Allotment. Thanks Gemma and vince for this. I love Allotment videos this is why I'm subscribed to many in the U.K .Have a great weekend p.s. I love Jessie at plot 37 also.
Oh Glen what a fantastic job you have done! I am so proud of you. I wished you would post more on TH-cam so I could watch you more. I will subscribe and catch you when you are on, since Gemma has been so kind to put your channel nameon so I know where to find you.
Excellent Gemma I’ve subbed to his channel as you know I love a new allotmenteer on TH-cam and I had to get there before Benny 😂😂😂. Have a fabulous week, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
Glyn has done really well with the whole allotment. That was a really nice video. I'm in a similar situation to him in that, while not fully retired yet I am on a disability. I have a muscular / neurological issue which causes the muscles to tire easily. I have had a hip replaced and I am awaiting another. But as my condition has flared up again, its postponed !. I have a kneeler/seat the same as his and would and would be lost with out it. My medication can cause me to cramp if I kneel. I made my raised beds in my garden (no allotment but its a big garden thankfully) the same dimensions and for the same reasons. Budget is a consideration too like Glyn. What I did was I made my corner supports for the beds twice as high than needed and this year I added another section of timber as the beds slowly fill up. As I get older the beds will hopefully be a more convenient height. They dont have to be full to the top to grow things. I gave the insides a coat of fence paint and stapled on the ground membrane to the inside. As Glyn said it should help stop the timber rotting too quickly. Its hard work initially as you know, but when the fruit and veg start start appearing on your plate, that when you really feel its all worth while. I got a pound of raspberries to day, and some lovely orange tomatoes. My dogs love carrots, but they wont eat them fresh from the ground as the scent of carrot is too strong. I have to leave it an hour or two and they investigate then 😄. The best of luck to Glyn in his retirement and his allotment
Hi Loki, it sounds like you've made really great additions to your growing space, what great ideas! It's definitely great when you see the fruits of your labour isn't it! Have a great weekend 😊
Amazing video, I relate with Glyn a lot as i suffer with sciatica and back pain and me and my partner have just signed our new allotment contract. Cant wait to get started!
Hey Queen, Gemma , hello, Glenn happy gardening I two have Osteoarthritis ,and started researching herb nettle tea ,and lemon balm it help pain and its a medicinal herb but do you best and God will do the rest God bless you Glenn I😊 love your energy
@@GemInTheGarden I watch a few allotment channels and it has inspired me to do the same styling on our property. I'm sick of taking so much room and fighting weeds with the till and plant the whole thing method. I've already bought the heavy duty landscape fabric for between the beds and a few beds and barrels set up and growing. :D
I have found doing one bit at a time to be really successful, I do it in my garden as well as my allotment plot, keep me updated with how you get on this growing season 👏 👍
