Very nicely done Egg man or should I say Eggcellent. sorry for the late comment, been a busy boy and haven't been able to watch. you ran all 3 of them beautifully, my only notes are the lack of HP on all of them, thats a new one on me, I sense Scott whispering in your ear about how absolutely necessary HP is in a run. fair enough with these 3, how much did you really need it in the end, not much, but still, mostly the R2 each one of them could of made use of a HP to make at least one battle easier each. Magmar, could of used something for Lance, maybe Ice whereas Jynx could of used something better than Thief for Lorelei, I assume IV's were perfect so Dark might of been good, but Electabuzz is a different matter. it is a good, but the added HP would improve it, I think massively, HP fire or water to get through Bruno quicker, especially water so you could do some rain dancing and have thunder for some added power and I think help with Tyranitar and its sandstorm. saying that, I would of given it fire and ice punch as egg moves for near perfect coverage from the off, but I'm bias and love having all the punches. there's something else with Electabuzz, the physical side, its access to meditate as an egg move is an option, yes I know it will make Brock a nightmare, but if you can get through Brock, you will have that ever so beloved combo of sub and set up for the leagues, throw on brick break and HP rock for the coverage and you do your thing. Electabuzz is good and I think could take the crown from Mrs. Popo (as I call her) but it is too reliant on having more than one of its egg moves at a time to do it, if you tried it, any of the above i've mentioned, I think its possible. after all, whenever you breed for an egg move in game, its not like it can only get one and thats it, my Drowzees are hatched with all 3 punches nearly every time
Thank you thank you. Don't worry about the late comment! I'm terrible at replying promptly :P I thought a while after completing the video if my choice to exclude HP was a good one or not. I thought it was at the time, but a couple of key problems in each run might have been a little more simple with the flexibility. I think HP Water would have done well for Magmar, both for Bruno and for Champ 1's Rhydon. Likely Water would have been a good addition for Electabuzz too, but I agree. That Ice Punch/Thunderpunch coverage from the start was glorious. I did consider using Meditate as an egg move with Elec. After my Lapras video though I was so scared of going for a physical set up move on a 'mon that seems much more specially inclined, at least in Gen 3. I've taken a look at the options for HGSS and I think these three really need a re-match. Belly Drum for Magmar instantly puts him back in the competition I think. That's a fair point, maybe I should consider using more than 1 egg move. That might start skewing things though. Some get trash egg moves while others (let's say Abra-line) would be unstoppable with a full suite.
@@Eggsceptional thats ok egg, I know Scott keeps you busy, I can imagine its overtime over there right now getting ready for October and the rest of the year. getting through without HP is always a flex, but for some it is the best and occasionally the only way to get through and where all 3 of them didn't need it, it would of made things a lot easier, the amount of training you did as well I think would of given you at least one TM10 from a meowth army so its not like you would of lost time or much time looking for one. HP water has proven to be oddly one of the best for fire red and would of been a big help for magmar and for Electabuzz, electric, ice, water coverage is very nice after all, I still think fire has its place though and as niche as it sounds I think HP Dragon has a use, any time that R2 Kingdra just refuses to drop, I had a solo Butterfree with HP Dragon once and somehow it worked HGSS 3 way VS is going to be quite different, the shift in how they each play is massive. Magmar gets Belly drum and I know you, you'll use it, but your physical set isn't the best fire punch, brick break and thunder punch but thats only if you use move tutors. Electabuzz is similar, you can have all the punches via move tutors or egg moves, but you'll need meditate for it. if your evolving either of them then fair enough the move set expands a little but thats not fair on Jynx in a VS. Jynx might do very well though, it gets nasty plot for an egg move and I know you've been wanting some special boosts in these runs, special shadow ball, energy ball, psychic, ice beam and any HP type you want as all HP is special, Jynx might get that sweet sweet 0 reset swag. as for the multiple egg moves, might be worth trying just to see, to be fair, not many Pokemon get to make use of multiple egg moves at once so its a niche addition that I don't popping up much in Gen 3, Gen 4 is a different matter, you get some straight up broken combos in Gen 4, seriously look at Charizard in Gen 4 and you'll see what I mean. just for fun try something can get a few egg moves at once in Fire red and see how it affects a run, Electabuzz with all 3 punches for example or that tantalizing Abra you mentioned, calm mind, STAB Psychic, 3 elemental punches and a HP of your choice and its straight up broke. speaking of straight up broke, I tried something similar, just to test it in comparison to a physical set, I did a Hypno VS the R2 league with all 3 punches and calm mind, it was awesome, lose fire punch for Psychic after Bruno and you'll sweep, I went in at 73 with EV's for defense and speed (most common in a standard run so not far off ev's in a standard run and I swept the league, straight up swept, try it, you'll love it. make it a VS punching Abra VS punching Drowzee, it'll be fun
Been a while since you last posted, and man, this was a gd one and 2hrs long, it was nice seeing a 3-way VS. Will just do my usual post-review on what I think could be improved. Electabuzz: honestly, nthing much in regards to moveset/EM, however, since there is no HP this round for sake of a more consistent run, I will say if HP is allowed, HP fire will help quite a bit against the steelixes, piloswine and heracross, not sure if u will need psychic for agatha but that is a thing for u to maybe think about. Magmar: Man, gen 1 really did fire types dirty and tbh, Magmar has the best base move coverage, u could maybe consider HP ice for Magmar just to make Lance slightly easier. Jynx: The best, hence no need for evolution in gen 4 compared to the above 2. Only thing I may change is the final moveset for R2 league. U could maybe clear with a slightly lower level if you run the following moveset: Ice beam, lovely kiss, substitute, calm mind, since champion 2 does not resist ice at all. It will mean bruno and agatha could be more challenging but it may be well worth it for the setup, the 75% accuracy will be annoying to play against though for lovely kiss, Jynx may be the only one that does not need HP here, but HP grass/dark may be useful for lorelei/Ttar if u need.
Thank you! I think you're right about Electabuzz. I'm guessing that with a Sub and Thunderbolt I could have made it through Agatha just fine opening that slot for HP Fire. That's a fair point with Magmar. HP Ice would also help with that Rhydon problem that he had. I was worried about the time investment costing me too much :P In the live chat it was brough up multiple times that I messed up my type interactions. Ice Beam was the best choice MOST of the time, and Water Pulse was pretty much a dead slot. Lovely Kiss would have changed things for sure.

Heck! Egg bomb is a TM DESPITE being usable by like only 1 Pokémon in Gen 1... (I should check that statement, since it's from memory not from a definitive source)
Part two.
1:00:42 for the onixiseseseses and steelixeseseses

1:54:28 for the steelixeseseses
Oh yeah there were a few in this one ;)
Egg,
Is the amulet coin not avaliable for you to get double money for battle wins? Feel like this would have given you a quicker time to ice beam on jynks
Amulet Coin is tied to the Pokedex, and iirc, he explains why he doesn't do that during the run
You need to fill 40 pages in the Dex before you can get it from one of Oak's aides.
That's correct! The Amulet Coin needs the catches, so it would likely result in a time loss. Thanks all for replying :)
These are the starters in Drayano's Fire Red Omega.
Oh cool! I might have to try that one out :)
11:18 and 43:24 for the onixiseseseses
20:49 and 25:48 he said electabuzzeseseses 😂

Sometimes they just happen 😅 Other times I think "adventureoflinkmk2 will appreciate this"
@@Eggsceptional and/or his fiancee 😂
I don´t know why, but I´m rooting for the fire type every time.
I do love me some Flamethrower. Kanto doesn't though :(
TOMBSTON...y??? Oh, brother...
Brother, please. 😅
I love jynx and smoochum
Ice/Psychic was a blast to play! Jynx is strong.
I need to comment this because I can't unhear it, but everytime you say "____ clocks in with a round 1 time" I think of the lyrics "when a girl walks in with .. a round thing in your face"
Now I too will struggle to not Sir Mix Alot at the end of my runs 😅
Why is Jinx holding BlackGlasses for so long after you replaced Thief? Sadge.
The reason is that I didn't need another held item so there was no need to spend time removing the Blackglasses. They stuck around a long while :)
Jynx the purple face pokemon
Seriously 😅
Who approved the Gen 1 TMs? Why is Egg Bomb and Razor Wind (The bad one) TMs and not moves like Sludge and Jump Kick?
Gen 1 is Gen 1 man. 🤔
Right!? I even got it wrong in this one, TM35 was Metronome. Metronome!!
In Gen 1... Gen 3 I know what I'm talking about. Mostly
A VALID frlg challenge?! That's new. Seriously, FRLG challenges don't count if you don't do the rematches
That's what I thought!
YOOO NEW VID
This one took a minute to make ;)
@@Eggsceptional Worth the wait. 3 great mons. I was curious, you brought up magmar losing to charizard bc of belly drum, but magmar gets it too. Was it added to magmar's moveset after gen 3?
@@spencerbrummett6712 As far as I can tell the first time that Magmar is able to learn Belly Drum is via egg move in HGSS, but not in the other Gen 4 games. Belly Drum would have changed that run BIG time.
@@Eggsceptional yeah, it's a shame. Magmar is so close and just needs a little boost to shine.
This was muy eggselente
Ahh, grazie!
Yay!
Enjoy :)
@@Eggsceptional started watching this last night as I was falling asleep I click it to see how much longer it is and realize it's a feature-length movie that I'm only 30 minutes through LOL
@@Silvitewolf Heh... yeah. I've really enjoyed the larger scale projects lately.
Jynx is the MOST useful BUT its LOW physical defense means against Brock it SUCKS.
At least Jynx had great special damage against him. Brock's biggest weakness :)
Say egg again
Egg :D
There are lots of pokétubers out there, and the best ones have some kind of a USP. Yours seems to be... Pronouncing 'egg' at the start of relevant words. To be honest, I feel like you're selling yourself short. People don't tune into these for wordplay, so maybe try to find something a little less puerile to make you stand out. You're a good player, so focus on that and I'm sure the channel will grow more quickly.
Thank you for your feedback! I never really thought of having a USP. I've been focused on honing the multivarious skillset a successful creator needs. The egg theme is just my personality coming through. What can I say? Maybe I'm just a puerile person :) I'd rather be my genuine self than some fabricated persona. You've given me some things to chew on. Cheers!
