I really liked this video and format! I can already see some major comfort compared to earlier videos, and I especially enjoyed the inclusion of lore! It helped add a story to the data, which always helps in terms of memory and in terms of why someone should care about it, if they're picking a paint scheme direction, for instance! (And on that note, I really liked having your opinion on them) I'm starting out AOS with Idoneth, but... am so tempted to go get some trees now... there's that alliance right. Ionrach have that allies ability
It makes me so happy to hear you enjoyed the new format and the inclusion of lore! I'm a big lorehound myself and sylvaneth being my main army it just felt right. I get around to making an Idoneth Subfactions breakdown soon! And on the alliance front you can definitely include some IDK units, the Allopex units show up a lot as allies, but in lore I don't think IDK and Sylvaneth have teamed up yet. But that does mean they couldn't have or wouldn't have!!! Make up your own headcanon for why they'd be allying together!
@@WargroveofWoe interesting that they haven't in the lore, but I think there's a warscroll battalion for the alliance of wood and sea, which gets the sylvaneth units tides of death! Good to know on the allopexes and definitely something I'll play around with for lore!
Also the Winterleaf Command ability works very well with Drycha, deals 2MW on 6's instead of 1 → therefore average of 6.66 Mortal Wounds with her shooting
As far as i've understood the rules, if you have several effects triggering on a specific roll (here: roll a 6), you can choose which effect takes place, but they dont stack. So only 1 MW in this case. See core rules-> 1.6.4 triggered effects What do you say?
The army wide abilities in the battletome will be in the "Allegiance Abilities"/"Battle Traits" section, if memory serves correct that should be around page 64.
I've got a killer Strategy for Winterleaf... See below ↓ Warlord battalion (Artifact = Greenwood Gladius *2+ attacks on charge) Durthu attacks 3 (base) + 2 (8" from wyldwoods) + 2 (Greenwood Gladius) +1 (Arch revenant command ability) = 8 attacks! THEN pop the frozen kernel (Winterleaf artefact) to allow him to pile in and attack TWICE in combat = 16 attacks doing 6 damage each at rend -2 (that's potential of 96 damage) Great for taking down powerful high value targets with a 325pt hero
Your like a non monotone Auspex tactics and I love it! Keep up the good content.
Very useful thank you, especially with you including the lore as that will be a big part in me picking a sub faction.
I appreciate this type of video, very down to earth. I am beginning to play AoS and this has been pretty enlightening, thank you.
Glad I could help!

Glad you liked it!
AWESOME video - thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Oakenbrow seem like the subfaction that will get "treelords can be taken as battleline" when their 3rd edition box comes out.
Great content. 👍
Great Video!
I really enjoyed this video as a newer player to Sylvaneth
as a veteran sylvaneth player I'm glad I could have helped!!

Actually, instead of dealing MW and attack sequence end, it will turn them into MW in addition to normal damage. It will not give her 2MW.
Good video but to bad they nerfed all the glades in the new book
I can't find the Army wide ability in battletome.
can anyone tell me which page i can find it on
