Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. High reward means high risk. The benefit of a W2 job is you know exactly what your paycheck is going to be. Being an “entrepreneur” on TH-cam means you don’t know what your next paycheck is going to be, whether that be positive or negative. Only way to secure yourself is to pay down debt/put money into guaranteed returns, but those returns are going to be relatively low.
Saving and investing is key. Both in retirement and after-tax accounts. The advice on the Solo 401(k) is spot on. Do a Mega Backdoor Roth Solo 401(k) and put $69,000 in it for 2024 ($23K in tax-deferred and $46K in after-tax with Roth conversion). On top of that, you need to have a much larger emergency fund (a full year of expenses) to use as a buffer for the low earning months, and the potential for a complete shift in your business model.
He said grossing. TH-cam only pays 45% of the ad money. And he's making 40% from them. He's only make 72k from them. After taxes, that is only 57k. So after that, and sponsors', he's only net's 200k, about.
Well at the end of the day nothing feels stable or sustainable. We come to a point that it’s time to adjust our lifestyles but we know we could regress at any moment. Maybe adjusting to poverty is the only way to feel secure in this day and age. Act like you are poor even when you have tons of cash.
Youre not Blessed, i hate it when people say this, its such bullcrap. You are LUCKY you are NOT blessed. God said its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man. God doesnt care what your bank balance is!!!! He cares how you live youre life
I know a super successful TH-camr, he had a family, quit TH-cam for a couple months, came back, works in construction now and does TH-cam as a side gig for extra income. Your life doesn’t all have to be strictly online, you can work in the real world and also contribute to the online world. I plan on doing the same. In highschool I also had a teacher whose husband is a VERY successful TH-cam artist but he used to work in accounting when he started before he went full time with TH-cam and other platforms.
I can see why he feels insecure. Seriously most TH-camrs can’t keep up this income stream in 3 years. And if all he knows to do is to live streaming, when his channel isn’t popular anymore, it’s hard for him to get back to the real world to get a real job, and sure, that real job definitely won’t pay him $300K per year. So it’s good for him to think ahead rather than sitting on $300K thinking that will go on forever.
I get his concern actually. TH-cam isnt easy. You always have to be on and making new content or your channel starts drying up. So no his income is definitely not secure.
If I was him earning an average of around 30k and only needs 5k per month to pay everything and be comfortable, I'd save and invest everything about 10k until being independently financially wealthy and not needing an income to generate that 10k by itself and once he's there, it's just fun to think what to do with the money then but could help so many and still have a ball.
First, $300k gross isn't the same as making $300k as a salary. I'm sure he has people to pay and other overhead. Anyhoo, making his money on social media, he should feel insecure unless he is investing well...which should be his focus. Someday, maybe soon, maybe not, no one will care about him.
So what's stopping this guy from getting a regular job since he's complaining about not having a set salary? He called to brag on this show despite him claiming to have 5M followers on social media. Even that insane number of followers isn't providing him enough attention he craves

Obviously they screen them because they want to keep out those unhinged morons that can barely put a coherent thought together that make up 90% of the American population.
The way out of this is to save big while the big money is flowing in. If he can get another 5 years out of this deal, he should have a million in the bank, maybe even $1.5. At that point, all you need is enough income to pay the bills and just let the invested money go to work for you over time (and time you have at 24 years old). Plus, anyone who figures out how to have that level of income at 24 is going to be able to come up with other ideas, and most likely better ones. No need to worry here.

Well at the end of the day nothing feels stable or sustainable. We come to a point that it’s time to adjust our lifestyles but we know we could regress at any moment. Maybe adjusting to poverty is the only way to feel secure in this day and age. Act like you are poor even when you have tons of cash.
This 👏
He needs to save while he can. Algorithms can change , look what happened with web page ads.
The answer is, get a stable job. 😂
But why even bother? Living in fear with an income level like that, inconsistent or not, is just ridiculous.
Right or at least a back up plan.
Completely irrelevant but I just learned the intro song to the Dave Ramsey Show is the song Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty
Youre not Blessed, i hate it when people say this, its such bullcrap. You are LUCKY you are NOT blessed. God said its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man. God doesnt care what your bank balance is!!!! He cares how you live youre life
Or has he put extra into savings, 401ks, emergency fund into high yield savings???
Yeah but the real job part is worring to me because an employer wants/needs/requires certain things to be able to employ people so...
Live like you make 50k invest the rest or whatever..and get you a good tax guy cause after this video you will probably get audited!!!
I make $48k and I feel rich
I get his concern actually. TH-cam isnt easy. You always have to be on and making new content or your channel starts drying up. So no his income is definitely not secure.
Mr. Beast is good at voices.
Caller isn’t feeling anything, just being an a$$hole.
Have you ever heard of investing in the S&P 500? Yea it would make your life better
Ohh boy look at me !!! Who can i call next? 😊
I’m broke as hell but I feel great
Man I hope to have a million subs one day.
I hate that these influencers make three figures and are hard working miner, teachers, and so forth make nothing.
Power of media!
Three figures is nothing. Do you mean SIX figures?
if you make 300K, take 200 and invest it every year... you will be financially independent in no time...
Sounds like you forgot about taxes.
@@KurtisB then invest 100 and live off 80...
That is gross, not net.
First, $300k gross isn't the same as making $300k as a salary. I'm sure he has people to pay and other overhead. Anyhoo, making his money on social media, he should feel insecure unless he is investing well...which should be his focus. Someday, maybe soon, maybe not, no one will care about him.
I am going to start a boxing channel; if that doesn't work I will start wearing a million dollar cape
Give it *all* to me , I’ll feel extremely *secure* for you 🙄
So what's stopping this guy from getting a regular job since he's complaining about not having a set salary?
He called to brag on this show despite him claiming to have 5M followers on social media. Even that insane number of followers isn't providing him enough attention he craves
Social media creator 🙄
Caleb Hammer trolling George and Kenneth
Why do they take these calls
That person had 5.5 milion follower, way more than this channel 😂😂
But doesn't have millions of listeners onthe radio.
Nice brown jacket 🧥
Get a financial advisor
My guy, you made 5-10x the annual income of the average American in one year
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 385K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 40% annually in dividend returns. any good recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated
As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable.
Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market..
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience.
how would you recommend i enter the crypto market? I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally.. What's your take on this approach? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking??
look up her name on the web for her website.
MAYBE 300 to 400k a year lmaooo. Maybe 100k swing there, don’t really know😅 lmaoo
Just trying to gain clout/free plug on here.
I make $60k and feel more financially secure than this guy. 😂
You need another job according to the Ramsey team . Get 5 jobs , up your income or you’re a failure
Same here at 69k
I bet he makes 300k minus expenses
he probably over spends
I feel sorry for all of your “DR” followers as you are all missing out on the 4th Industrial Revolution (blockchain).
Give me a break.
TH-cam pays like this. 😳
His "worst " month was 10k?
how does these callers get by the screeners. stupid call.
300k and struggling? Stfu
Another waste of time call.
Whenever Ken’s on I scroll on! He’s an idiot!
so sick of this show taking these stupid calls. What garbage they are turning into.
Does he need a mistress to help him spend his 💰🙂↔️
Hey Ramsey show. We know you like to make it seem like these shows are random callers but we know you screen them. You want these rich morons calling
Obviously they screen them because they want to keep out those unhinged morons that can barely put a coherent thought together that make up 90% of the American population.
Grow up and save ffs
This dude needs some humble pie 🥧
Be funny if he did O.F. with his wife...
Guy doesn’t have a money problem. He’s got mental issues. Go see a doctor man ur head is out to lunch and nobody cares about ur 300k. Shove it.
No need to worry here.
its not a real job and soon his channel wil burn out and he knows it
