    My 2011 came with Rancho's from factory. I found them very harsh. Replaced em with some AC delco ones. very slightly better ride now.

      The OEM Ranchos spec'd for the auto manufacturer are far different than aftermarket Rancho RS series. The RS feel much better and last longer.

    I thought the Rancho rear shocks don't support any lift. (RS55126). I have the front Rancho shocks on my ranger and looking for rear shocks to support a small 1" lift. Am I good with the Ranchos?

      I believe I bought the ones for 2” lift from off rock auto. But you are completely right they limited down travel a really slight bit.

    Hi, what tire brand/model/size and load are you running? You don't think that extra inch or two will provide more comfort when hitting a pot hole or something if you a torsion lift versus a stock shock?

    • @RangerShop1
      @RangerShop1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m running 265/75 16 DuraTracs stock weight on truck no big heavy bumper etc, torsion keys slightly cranked maybe an extra 1”. The shocks might soften it a bit if before you would bottom out and now you won’t. But I’m afraid a torsion truck lifted is just stiffer. The way I understand it is they can make a leaf spring or coil spring progressive which as it’s compressed it gets stiffer… so soft at the top hard as it hits those big bumps….. really helps cushion the ride. Unfortunately you can’t do that with torsion bars. That’s my understanding anyways.

      @@RangerShop1 Do you like those tires? Are they noisey on the highway?

    • @RangerShop1
      @RangerShop1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@robedwards6926 I really like the tires I think they are great on road and off. They have the winter rating which was important for me!
      Noise is a tough one. I don’t think they are that bad but my last ones were some worn out mud terrain tires that just howled. These seem way better

      @@RangerShop1 Nice, I'm running Falken Wildpeaks. Awesome tire but I would like to possibly move up from standard load to at least a C. Hate the added weight though.

      @RangerShop1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robedwards6926 yeah these are a E rating they do offer them in a C but I believe they were only 8lbs more each. Definitely stinks moving around all that weight. I would definitely recommend these tires, so far they have been great.

    Does this smooth out the ride with the torsion keys cranked? Thanks!

    • @RangerShop1
      @RangerShop1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I definitely felt an improvement off roading. Before my shocks would bottom out. I don’t think the actual ride is improved much though. I only did a small crank on the keys though. I have a 3” body lift that gave me the most clearance for my tires. Hope that helps. A full lift kit might be what your looking for. You will maintain the softer ride.

      @@RangerShop1 how did you do the body lift? Thanks.

    • @RangerShop1
      @RangerShop1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mojohesse it was done by the previous owner but from what I heard rough county sells a good kit. Comes with bumper relocation brackets etc. 👌

      @@RangerShop1 can you think of any good reason why someone shouldn’t do the 3” body lift on a ranger?

    • @RangerShop1
      @RangerShop1  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@al23bert I think if you can afford a suspension lift I’d go that route. I found with the body lift it stretched the steering, wiring, shifter, e brake cable etc. but you can’t beat the cost for the inches 😁👍

      Rock auto was clearing them out I think they were 28$ each for rear and 32$ for front.
