Connie Terry That’s such an abuse of privacy as well as an abuse of social boundaries. I am lost for words. My best wishes to you. I’ve got Crohns. A number of times I’ve been out and had to run to a toilet because suddenly I’m starting to go to the toilet or I’ve got seconds before I go. Only to find someone closing the door to the disabled toilets with their child. One lady was just about to shut the door, I showed her my card, said that I had bowel disease and that I needed the toilet urgently and she just said ‘we won’t be long’ then closed the door. I’d just recovered from a relapse. It had taken a lot to get the courage to go further a field, as situations like that have made me socially anxious. It sets me back to square one. Disabled toilets are for the disabled not for people who don’t want to wait in line for the regular toilets. Anyone in the regular toilets would let a child to the front of the line. People don’t do that with me as I’m not in a wheelchair. But where do I wash in a high street because your child was using the specifically assigned toilets? And yes... I have children too and I never took them to a disabled toilet when they were little. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in a chair so I’m not making a comparison. I’m just saying in relation to my condition I’m afraid I still find many people still don’t show much compassion or sense.
People continue to astound me with their rudeness. I wouldn't pull my own dog's tail, much less someone else's...and a service dog! People, you ignore service dogs because they are working!
Kathy Jollie LMAOOOO your comment is spot on. Like, I am so confused by this!!!! Why on earth would you pull on a tail? Even from a crazy person’s perspective.
I remember an experience from when I was at the hospital when I was 5 (couldn’t read well at the time). I almost petted a service dog and my mom stopped me (she is a nurse). I remember feeling so bad and sorry. I apologized so much that the lady took off the “work harness” and let me pet him (I think it doubles as a therapy dog tho). I remembered that experience my who life and have never pet any service animal since. 💕😆
People can be so rude! I don't care if it's a service dog or not - if you don't know the dog, DO NOT TOUCH IT! That is just plain common sense, but apparently common sense doesn't mean anything these days... That Avatar ride looked amazing! I really hope to get back to Disney very soon!

But Hippo is a trooper and totally okay! It usually does not happen so often, guess it was just an unlucky day.
Ugh always ask for permission before touching someone else’s dog, regardless if it is or isn’t a service dog. It’s not YOUR dog, stop feeling entitled to touch stuff that isn’t yours. 😑 Sorry Jaquie. Glad Miss Hippo is taking it well.
Agreed. So many people try to pet my dog without asking, despite her wearing a "nervous" leash and coat. And then they have the audacity to get upset at me and her when she starts barking. I'm like... don't try and pet her without asking then? She was fine before you touched her. You never know how peoples dogs will react so don't touch them without permission.
Often when I walk with my service dog he gets disturbed by other people that start petting him. (and in some extreme cases actually lift him up as he's a small dog) Before I had a service dog I always thought the children are the ones to be aware of. But often the children ask you if they can pet your dog and it's the adults that just suddenly start petting without asking.
Yes dear lord. Kids r the cutest and nicest little things about my animals. Even if they don't know that ford is an SD, they ask or just wave hello as the walk by. I have a pet dog (I am training him to do tasks but he won t be a service dog) and go places with him. People keep calling him and wanting to pet him, so if distracted he (gently) pulls the leash and goes to the person. I get he s cute and cuddly, but how come people don t think to talk to the owner first? I guess talking with animals is easier than with humans 😂
I was at the post office and the postmaster asked if my dog was a service dog and I told her yes and thank you for asking. We were talking about how people come in with fake service dogs and they pee on her floor.. I turn around and some lady is trying to pet my service dog! He ignored her like a champ and he has been training for 6 months.
Yes I've had more kids ask to pet my pet dog Chloe then adults. Just recently I had an adult pick her up without asking. She hates being picked up even by me. Luckily she tolerates it well. Some other dogs could potentially squirm, fall, and get hurt/killed.
I love your videos so much. In regards to people pulling Harlow's tail, I had similar issues with people doing that type of stuff with my service dog for Autism. When I was going through an evaluation, someone reached down and petted my dog. The person who was doing the evaluation turned, loudly told the person to never touch a service animal and then made it clear to me to say something to anyone who did that type of thing. It was difficult for me to do, but I think it makes a huge difference when people get called out for doing that stuff. It creates a danger for both the service dog and the person with the service dog.
I would never touch a strangers dog without asking. No matter if it’s a service dog or not. Actually I haven’t noticed anyone touching a service dog here in Germany, but I guess our mentality is a little different over here :) or I just haven’t met the people who are doing things like that
People should teach their kids not to touch ANY dog without permission. Whenever I went over to my friend's house when I was younger and we decided to take a walk around the block, her mom would always remind us to ask before we pet. The general public needs to be educated to not touch or distract service dogs, even if you think they are fake service animals.
clearly you guys need a big flashing neon sign that says "do not touch" since a pink vest with it all over it is apparently too hard to read. It hurts me sometimes to see how careless people are with you and Harlow, and many other service dogs. People really need to learn how to pay attention.
I'm so glad my medic alert service dog is small! He either walks next to me to or rides on the foot rest on my chair(his choice). The good thing about riding on the foot rest is that people are less likely to reach in between my legs to pet him!
I can understand if a little kid that doesn't know better touches the dog, it still doesn't make it right but its more understandable. But anyone over 5 should really know better, and should be taught regardless of if the animal is in service or not that you do not touch stranger's pets. Always ask! The worst thing that could happen is they say no. Respect people and their animals!
Poor Harlow..A kid doing it will frustrate you but there is a certain level of okay it is just a kid..but if an adult it doing it..that unexcusable..people need to get some manners these days and learn how to act.
My old Service dog was killed by someone in my old school the person who killed him tried to kill me many times and then beat me up until I could not do any and then kill my Service dog I miss him so much still and I went to court for it all. Now I have a new service dog who has saved my life on so many occasions and I love her so much but I have to tell so many people every day not to touch my dog but they still touch her.
This hits a nerve... my SD/SDIT got her tail pulled and dislocated twice at 4.5 months and 6 months old... now its a challenging sometimes for her to trust people, she is 10 months old now and desensitization is going well.. I have anxiety disorder as well so she feeds off of my anxiety... she is a training for cardiac alert and psychiatric service Dog/SDiT... hello to harlow and you all.. love from greater tampa area
Service Dog Rosie it is has been hard to re-train service dog after being attacked by crazy people in CA (side note do not go to Safari Park police are far away response time is like 1.25+ hours) need to desensitize again when we both recover
It honestly blows my mind that people pull random dogs' tails. Do they want to get bitten?? Because that's a surefire way to get bitten. Of course Harlow never would because she's well trained and wonderful, but a stranger doesn't know that she won't bite with a tail pull, especially since aggressive pets in service vets aren't uncommon. Just yikes. Sorry you had to deal with that
POOR HARLOW!! I get frustrated when people pull my dog’s tail and she isn’t a service dog so I can’t imagine the frustration of someone pulling a service dog’s tail. I was taught to always ask before petting someone’s dog and if they had a vest on then I shouldn’t ask as they were working. It’s super frustrating that some people just don’t respect that and teach their kids. They wouldn’t like it if we pulled their hair.
I went to Disney in LA in January and there were two girls who had their service dogs with them near me at a ride. They were obviously training them and I was directly behind these girls in a line for a ride. The people behind me were literally cooing and going 'puppy puppy puppy', these were fully grown women I should add. They distracted one of the dogs, the girls glared at them, I glared at them, and for the rest of the line ended up being a human barrier stopping these women from touching the dogs. It was absolutely ridiculous, how do people justify this in their minds? Like why???
so glad you have such a positive attitude and harlow has such good training, but it's ridiculous that there are so many people out there messing with her!! it doesn't make sense to pull a dog's tail to begin with, much less a service dog!
Just subscribed. love your videos! I have spina bifida and a few other diagnoses and I LOVE Disney! Never been to WDW but been to Disneyland and now making my own youtube videos, inspired by my love of disney. :) Hope you have a fantastic 2019 and people eventually learn to not touch Harlow.
Hell its rude to touch someone's dog even if the AREN'T a service dog. Like you don't go up and touch somebody else child. Don't touch stranger's pets AT ALL without their consent. Wow. I'd pop off if someone just reached out and touched my dog.
Though I don’t have a service dog, mine is half German shepherd and has sharp teeth like any other dog. I’ve been glared at by parents for not letting their obnoxious kids to pet him or wave their hands in his face when he’s losing his mind in the lobby of the vets. But someone touching your dog, that’s ridiculous
Has some punk kids do this at my local mall and after i caught them and turned around and said we got 2 options one ya can stop pulling his tail or 2 i can call the cops and yall can go to jail now which one are we gonna do? Then they just walked away. Pisses me off to no end
That car ride was really intense! I would struggle with all those lights, but I still want to have adventures like you do. Thanks for sharing your Jacquie😁
Jaquie I would like to ask you how does your family treat your dog at home? What rules do you reccommend be inforced regarding how family behaves around your SD. Have you ever had problems with family members treating your dog as a pet rather than an SD and if so how do you deal with it and what would you say to others going through a similar struggle? Thanks! I have been trying to find videos on the topic for awhile since I find I'm not the only one going through this as well as a friend of mine that I can show my family so they might better understand. Thanks for reading!
Test track is my favorite ride at Disney world besides space mountain because you can decorate your own car. So fun! I’m going to Disney world for a 5 day trip this Tuesday
As someone who is working with a trainer and partially owner training their service dog, I'm terrified of this. My dog is amazing and does not deserve to be harassed. Same with Harlowe and every service dog. I mean, you wouldn't yank on someone's oxygen hose or jerk their walker, to me a service dog is no different than any of those medical devices and Federal law agrees. People disgust me.
They shouldn't be doing that to any dog, much less a service dog. They're just asking to get bit if you ask me. I don't understand why people don't know how to respect living creatures
Hi Jaquie, What is wrong with people, I have a small Service Dog, she is a very friendly dog with adults as well as children. Not because it’s my dog, but she is cute, and people want to pet her all the time, I explain why you don’t pet Service Dogs, but people say “She’s so Cute, and she wants me to pet her”. How do I stop the distraction? I have the leash sleeves like you do but they ignore them. I would very much appreciate your advice 😊
Been meaning to ask since ages - what’s the pink ring on your ring finger? I know you got allergic to your engagement and wedding ring so is this a replacement for that? It looks super cute!
I have meme's all over my cubicle at work that say, "You can't fix Stupid". Why would anyone pull a strange dog's tail?? Especially a Working Dog? SMH.... Glad you've had such a nice vacay! 😁🐱
It amazes me that people do not know to not touch service dogs. We recently went to an open house for a local agriculture high school tour with my niece who wants to go there. At one point there was a woman from the school with a dog. My niece loves animals (hence the agricultural school). She went toward the dog to ask if she could pet the dog. When she got closer she turned around and called to me "Oh never mind, it has a service dog vest on so l'll stay away". She got a HUGE smile from the handler.
My daughter is 9 but since she was 4 when she sees a service dog she always addresses the person and says "your dog is doing a good job" and we move on! Sure pups are cute but even the youngest people can be taught to respect the space or working dogs. It infuriates me when people totally disrespect service dogs
Why would someone pull her tail? Why would someone pull any dogs tail? Especially a service dog that is clearly working! I'm sorry that happened Jaquie. But anyways seems like you had overall a really fun trip and made lots of memories. Thank you for sharing some of it with us!
I was always taught to not pet a dog without asking the owner. It was mainly bc my mom knew that many dogs don't react well to strangers and I could have gotten bit. However, I was never taught anything about service dogs when I was younger. Honestly, I don't think I ever saw one when I was younger so I never reacted to them.
I’m a make a wish kid and my wish was to go to Disney I was about five when I went and all I wanted was to meet tinker bell and I did and I forced my dad to play princess with me in the hotel
Your a nicer person then me ! I would be upset and let the tail pullers know it ! I know your way of handling it is best but I don't know if I could keep quiet. I can't even imagine what enters a persons brain that says "oh I should pull that Dogs tail" - jackasses !
People are ridiculous. With all the service dog awareness, you would think they would know not too. even if Harlow wasn't a service dog, no one should be petting someone's dog without the owner's permission. So rude. I'm so glad you're having so much fun. :)
When I was in animal kingdom our flight of passage wait was less than half an hour 😎 (hooray for fastpasses). Also what is WRONG with people??? You shouldn’t touch any dog you don’t know without asking, and never pull their tails ESPECIALLY service dogs 😒 I’m glad you got to enjoy your vacation despite a few hiccups
I blame the parents for children mistreating animals. I have 4 children and I educated them at an early age to respect service animals and treat all animals with kindness.
I went on it and these people where trying to sit next to each other and separated my family so we was like wth do you think your doing and the Disney worked person thing gave us fast passes
People in crowd's get so obnoxious and I get kids maybe being curious but adults know better and just don't care. I went in a wheelchair to Disney 3 yrs ago and most people when they walk, they are either concentrating on what is in front of their eye level or just caught up in the crowds, they never look down. I get walked into a lot but I have a big mouth and I am friendly but firm and I let people know if they don't respect my personal space. I am glad I went but it took alot of work and vacation is not supposed to be a chore, lol.
My kids know not to pull any dogs tails and I’m helping my sister in law to get her little ones to know butter then to do so either. I’m also going to be teaching my kids how to help care for a service dog in case of an emergency as I’m planning on getting one in the near future. I’ve already had a K-9 trainer say I need one after hearing part of my health issues and my sister in law is wanting me to get a great dain. I’ve been leading toward a golden retriever though.
I have a baby and as a mom with a disability I'm raising my daughter not to pet and distract service animals, I grew up being taught the same from a family member with a disability.
People are so rude, and disrespectful.... I love your videos with your husband and Harlow. I love in Fl.and this is my favorite time of the year.I hope you have a fun time for the rest of your vacation. 😮😎😊
Ugh how do people not understand you can't touch a service dog without permission. I always ask if I can get one if I see one. Harlow and Judd on the bed. Lol so cute!
6:13 I noticed you have a different band on. I wanted to know do they all use the same account or did you have to make two separate purchases? Do they take points etc off the same account or could you give one to one person and you use the other at the same time?
2:10 That's 2.5 hours. Phew! :O 3:15 I can't claim to have understood all of that. 4:54 That's rude! 6:06 I looked forward to watching that happen, but it wasn't as clear as I'd hoped it would be. As long as you had a good time!
I’ve been on the flight of passage ride, I waited to go in line when the park was closing and it was 1.5hr wait lol, but it was so worth it! I think it’s 5e best ride at Disney hands down.
As a child, i was always taught to ask before touching or petting any kind of dog, service dog or pets. I find it ridiculous that some people think its okay to PULL THE TAIL of a dog, and on top of that being a service dog? Thats just appalling behaviour in my mind. But that might just be me...
Just remember that there will always be jerks, no matter where you go. I've learned that the hard way (mean dad, fake friend, even Hurricane Harvey). Just remember this quote: "Holding on to anger is like gripping a hot coal; you are the one that gets burned. I hope you had fun at Disney! I sure had my daily dose of Harlow cuteness ☺️. Also,I thought that "passport" was "assport" for a second. That would be disturbing if they check your ass 🤨. Have a great day Jaquie, Judd, and Harlow! Every like is 1 less tail pull! 🐶 Also, I went to DisneyWorld like, 3 years agoish...and I've never seen that car ride. Hopefully I can go back someday. Epcot and Magical Kingdom were my faves. And Space Mountain my favorite ride! Ok bye! 🤗
I think those that are in a wheelchair shouldn’t have to wait two hours in a line. If they want to obviously that’s their choice. But sometimes, it’s tough in cold weather to keep your temperature regulated. Added to that, two hours is a long time to wait with a compromised bowel or bladder and that can often bring on severe anxiety. There are so many things you have to bare in mind that able bodied people don’t even have to consider. To them it’s just a fun day out and keeping together.
You are making me reaaaallly want to go to Disney right now haha. Edit: Sorry to hear about people tugging Harlow’s tail. I can tell how frustrating it is for you because you can’t really do anything about how other people act :(
I think everyone should train your child how to properly act around a service dog. I’ve taught my daughter don’t pet or bother a service dog they’re working!
So sorry to ask you directly but, I’ve purchased a heating pad that looks similar to yours but, the first one I purchase seems really chintzy. Would you please just share the brand, if it can be purchased on amazon. I know your not sponsored by them nor are you recommending the brand. Just telling me what one you use. If your happy with it.
I right way tell my kids that you don’t touch the dog because they are working. I try my best to explain to them why they shouldn’t touch the dog. Now my kids are 11 n 12 and they tell my 3 year old don’t touch the dog because he/she is working.
Don’t pull any dogs tail. Don’t touch any dogs without asking. This shouldn’t even be an issue, and the fact that people do this to a service dog is just crazy.
I don’t understand why you would pull a dogs tail any time??
sayswice ikr that’s strange and mean
Right?? I can't imagine how much that might hurt the poor dog to have its tail pulled.
Imagine a young kid thinking why is there a dog in the toilet
Thats my thoughts

clearly you guys need a big flashing neon sign that says "do not touch" since a pink vest with it all over it is apparently too hard to read.
I would carry one of those dog correction spray things and if someone pulled my dogs tail I would spray it at them
My old Service dog was killed by someone in my old school the person who killed him tried to kill me many times and then beat me up until I could not do any and then kill my Service dog I miss him so much still and I went to court for it all. Now I have a new service dog who has saved my life on so many occasions and I love her so much but I have to tell so many people every day not to touch my dog but they still touch her.
That's terrible. I'm sorry you went through that. Glad though that you have a new service dog that loves and helps you.
Snickersthepiggy 123 ❤️❤️❤️
I am sorry you lost your dog and happy for you to be able to have another.
People are so damn stupid. Sweet Harlow has such a great life!
Just yikes. Sorry you had to deal with that
Shout out to Judd for being a great husband and support to you!
Like why???
As it's often been said, no one can fix STUPID.
Your dog is absolutely stunningly beautiful and very well behaved.
so glad you have such a positive attitude and harlow has such good training, but it's ridiculous that there are so many people out there messing with her!! it doesn't make sense to pull a dog's tail to begin with, much less a service dog!
People’s rudeness is why my previous service dog was a pitbull and why my new one is a Cane Corso. People don’t come close to those.
Noel Stormguard Dalmatian SDiT great question, i only know my experience. i would also like to know others experience
Test track is my favorite ride at Disney world besides space mountain because you can decorate your own car. So fun! I’m going to Disney world for a 5 day trip this Tuesday
Lucky for me all of the parents I've encountered so far have been amazing with their children. But it's only a matter of time.
Disrespectful every curse word in the book... Harlow, you champion pooch. 💖
And as always, Thanks for taking us!
Glad y'all had fun. Your attitude is great in response to the gp and negative interactions w Harlow. Good you seem to take things in stride.
My daughter is 9 but since she was 4 when she sees a service dog she always addresses the person and says "your dog is doing a good job" and we move on! Sure pups are cute but even the youngest people can be taught to respect the space or working dogs. It infuriates me when people totally disrespect service dogs
I teach all
The kids they are working dogs we can’t talk to them or touch them they are working it’s vital to teach our kids this it’s respectful too
I'm glad you guy's are having a great time!! I really wish people would be respectful of service dog's.
Why would someone pull her tail? Why would someone pull any dogs tail? Especially a service dog that is clearly working! I'm sorry that happened Jaquie. But anyways seems like you had overall a really fun trip and made lots of memories. Thank you for sharing some of it with us!
When a dog is better behaved than people.
Those wait times are exactly why I don't go to Disney even though I live close 🤣 Spend 100+$ to wait in line for 2.5 hours - NOPE! lol!
Awww that's so cute. I'm glad you got your wish!!!
Fox Song thanks!
Your a nicer person then me ! I would be upset and let the tail pullers know it ! I know your way of handling it is best but I don't know if I could keep quiet. I can't even imagine what enters a persons brain that says "oh I should pull that Dogs tail" - jackasses !
awww poor harlow but she is so good she just keeps doing her job.❤️😀👍💪
Even though the dog was not hurt they were still working and therefore is only aloud to be touched by the owner unless told otherwise
I blame the parents for children mistreating animals. I have 4 children and I educated them at an early age to respect service animals and treat all animals with kindness.
I went on it and these people where trying to sit next to each other and separated my family so we was like wth do you think your doing and the Disney worked person thing gave us fast passes
It's common sense! Regardless if it's a service dog or not, you don't pull a dogs tail!
ahh i love test track sooo much its my favorite epcot ride
Thanks for the ride ☺
And it's just plain rude to distract a service dog.
If I get approved for a service dog by my doc, I will get a blaze orange vest, so that the DO NOT PET patch is burned into their eyes.
So glad you got to do the avatar ride
2:10 That's 2.5 hours. Phew! :O
3:15 I can't claim to have understood all of that.
4:54 That's rude!
6:06 I looked forward to watching that happen, but it wasn't as clear as I'd hoped it would be. As long as you had a good time!
I just realized you use Harlow as a counterbalance...Can I ask where you got her from as I have need of a service dog for balance.
I’ve been on the flight of passage ride, I waited to go in line when the park was closing and it was 1.5hr wait lol, but it was so worth it! I think it’s 5e best ride at Disney hands down.
Me and my family waited in line for that ride for 3 and a half crazy
I guess i will never understand why someone would touch a working service dog. You never know what that person needs their service dog for.
Harlow is such a good dog! Golden's are the best except for the copious amounts of hair lol
Aww poor Harlow puppy. People shouldn’t pull a dogs tail period... let alone a service dog!!!
As a child, i was always taught to ask before touching or petting any kind of dog, service dog or pets. I find it ridiculous that some people think its okay to PULL THE TAIL of a dog, and on top of that being a service dog? Thats just appalling behaviour in my mind. But that might just be me...
When I went to animal kingdom I had to wait 3 1/2 hours for flight of passage but well worth the wait.
So happy to see Janice
Just remember that there will always be jerks, no matter where you go. I've learned that the hard way (mean dad, fake friend, even Hurricane Harvey). Just remember this quote: "Holding on to anger is like gripping a hot coal; you are the one that gets burned. I hope you had fun at Disney! I sure had my daily dose of Harlow cuteness ☺️. Also,I thought that "passport" was "assport" for a second. That would be disturbing if they check your ass 🤨. Have a great day Jaquie, Judd, and Harlow! Every like is 1 less tail pull! 🐶
Also, I went to DisneyWorld like, 3 years agoish...and I've never seen that car ride. Hopefully I can go back someday. Epcot and Magical Kingdom were my faves. And Space Mountain my favorite ride! Ok bye! 🤗
Where was the crate on the flight of passage ride?
Oh no! I jinxed it by commenting about how you had a good interaction where you said she’s working and they respected it on the previous video!
I was told never even attempt to go near a Service Dog, without the owners permission. No excuse to pull s dogs tail, ever.
So I’m new here do you carry a kennel/crate with you at all times
I can tell how frustrating it is for you because you can’t really do anything about how other people act :(
Why would you pull ANY dogs tail, let alone a service dogs??? What is wrong with people.
I can’t believe people would actually pull Harlow’s tail. That’s absolutely ridiculous!
I'm so loving your hat! I'm in NY. I need one of those.
I never touch any pet without asking the owner, except ones that run up to me and literally jump on me😂
Don’t pull any dogs tail. Don’t touch any dogs without asking. This shouldn’t even be an issue, and the fact that people do this to a service dog is just crazy.
Harlow is just like my dog! Why do they think 5 am is the time to play? Lol
