I’ll be hiking a few days on the south end of the trail in Georgia for my honeymoon. I’ve already hiked part of it. I’m excited to go back. It’s awesome to see the north end.
Thank you and enjoy! Apparently I forgot to credit that song in my credits...oops. I have the song on my computer and will provide you title and singer later on this evening.
@@twotonadk a guy in town recommended the same. I used to be an Appalachian trail ridge runner for Connecticut Massachusetts so this hike shouldn't be too bad.
Two Ton's Adirondack Rambles I didn't, though I heard from people on the trail about how generous those folks are! Doing it again in the fall, I had an amazing time. Your video was definitely an inspiration.
Mischa Velt trekking poles are a must for me. Helps me with balance in sketchy areas, helps me dig in on upjills, and take strain off knees on the downhill. The music info is located at the end of the credits.
I agree with the hiking poles, turns you into a 4 legged animal instead of 2 legged and if your arms are strong really helps and if they are not using the pole will make them strong. I saved myself from falling at least a dozen time with my poles, I use 2 most of the time...
Didn’t bring anything and never had any encounters with camp bears. It wasn’t quite as “wild” as I anticipated. Still an awesome and enjoyable trip. I personally don’t think any additional precautions, other than proper food storage, are necessary. Enjoy the trip!😁
Thank you Janice. I hiked the first week of July 2016. It was a little bit of everything and I had a great time. Waaaaaaay more people on the trial than I thought there would be. Good luck with your SOBO hike!
I live in Indian Lake, NY and i was thrilled when i found your videos. I just have one suggestion and i mean you no disrespect,. Your background music is too loud and distracting. I love what you have to say and the scenery, but sometimes it's hard to hear you or the animals that live where you are hiking. You have taken me on hikes i haven.t taken yet, thank you so much.
Thank you for the feedback Lee, I am by no means a professional video editor and am learning as I go. I struggle at times with volume of video audio in relation to music volume. I am currently editing some video from a trip to Wyoming and will pay particular attention to music volume. Thank you.
Enjoyed watching your video very well done. I have been producing videos for 30 years and filing a hike is hard and you did a great job and a lot of people probably do not realize but you walked more that 100 miles with the back and forth to get your camera.. I am 66 years old and thinking about doing the 100 mile hike with my dog Bear, he is a Labernese and 10 months old now at 115 lbs probably won't do the hike for at least a year need to lose 30 lbs first. Great job keep filming your hikes people will watch them for sure. Thanks.. I have videos on my blog at www.hikingwithtom.com
Loved your video - thanks for posting.
Well, thank you very much. I loved the trip!😁
Great video of your journey... Thanks 😊
Thank you Allen!
I am doing a 100 mile hike for charity in August. Your video is helping me a lot in preparation. Thank you!!
Great to hear Jeff. Good luck on your charity hike!
Driving clip at 0:25: I know EXACTLY where that is! I grew up in that area. US Route 2 near Jefferson, NH. Love the vid.
Thank you sir.

Awesome video!! Planning this hike July 2021. Can't wait!! What is the song at the 3:00 minute mark?

The song is Atlantic Ocean by David Mumford

Hiking the HMW in a couple weeks . Really enjoyed your video.
bmazer1 awesome! Enjoy yourself. Making a stop at Shaw's hiker hostel? Cool place with great folks.

Epic Thanks for sharing
Thank you!😁
Love it! You even have a picture of the sign I made, at the 56 second mark in your video :)
Haha...beautiful sign my friend!
Brilliant video, planning HMW this september, would you recommend bringing the walking poles? Name of songs used in vid also appreciated, thanks!

Love this video. Im hiking the 100 mile wilderness next month. Did you bring bear spray or a gun? Or you find it unnecessary?

What month did you do this ?
Just about this time. End of June, into beginning of July.
What were the dates of your hike? I'm thinking of a SoBo hike of the AT and have considerable liberty with my schedule... Great video btw...
Oops! Just got to the 14m zone and found July 4th.

Great video! Did you do the whole trip with no resupply?
No, I paid Shaw's 80 bucks to resupply me on Jo-Mary Road. Well worth it and they bring you a cold beverage as well! :)
I’m hiking the 100 mile wildness this summer with Boy Scouts
Good luck out there. You guys will have a blast! There were a ton of boy scout/youth groups on the trail when I hiked.
So you received intelligence about the water sources etc...? Pretty good video.
Very good video but most of the music was a distraction.
Yeah, I was just figuring it out in some of my earlier videos. I agree. Thanks for the feedback.👍🏼
