3. Only work on lines in your right hand
4. Only play the written solos on big band charts

8. Tell everyone they sounded great after every tune

I agree not to tell someone he or she did good. Its a lie so that person may actual think they were good. There was a guy who played for me that did not read music. Apparently he did not practice from the cassette I sent him. So, he held the practice session up teaching him the songs. Also, bad advice would be to use someone's' friend. The was referred to me by his friend. Thank you Adam and Peter.
