It still infuriates me that had the Cops done their jobs and taken Charles seriously he may have escaped with his life. He was totally let down.

I've said the same thing so many times ,they failed him and in the process ,cost JJ Tylie and Tammy their lives also ,so dammed infuriating .When I watched Lori talking to the police ,laughing and smiling ,I saw how the officers feel for every lie she told and disregard everything Charles had told them ,that poor Sweet Man ,he was so kind and caring and loved all three of those children as well as his older children ,my heart breaks for them ,for all the family that lost so much.
They could have prevented IT ALL.
And the kids' lives. Male victims of abuse are not taken seriously by LEO

He seems like a very gentle person and with positive and trusting support, he definitely has a platform for reforming child protection, speaking out about watching a loved one fall into a cult, or set up a network to help family members of high profile criminals navigate the social media and the stigma that comes with being related to a monster. Again Colby is not his mother.

He was moved to a new location, so any friends and familiar people were taken from him. He had no stability in his life.

JJ was upset and he was acting out in very normal ways. They absolutely traumatized him. He went (pre Chad) from a relatively normal, loving household to his dad being murdered with a gun inside their home while preparing for school to his mom driving him to school same morning, then she moved them to a new state hundreds of miles away, gave his service dog away, and his sister Tylee was probably stressed and weirded out/preoccupied wondering why she was considered a zombie and what in the hell else was going on. Chad LOVED his children and never had any interest in Lori’s kids which is why he was rating her kids as dark. He only wanted Lori, and Lori only wanted Chad. There was never any plan to have Tylee n JJ in their new life. Lastly, notice how Chad nor anyone else was EVER rating HIS kids. Oh, no no no.

The reason she didn't let the grandparents have custody is she was collecting money from the state for J.J. and would have lost it.After the murders she continued collecting money for both kids.
They could’ve let Tyler go off to college and live a happy life, as well. They didn’t have to do this. I feel bad for Colby, but I would’ve fought harder to know where my siblings were going.

Ex-wife. He admitted to raping her a couple years ago. They worked out a deal and dropped the charges, but he's still got that whole "confession" thing on tape.

And there was evidence: His confession in a phone call (on tape, you can hear it) and his confession to the police. So dropped or not, whew. What a great guy. If he had gone around her, they would have re-filed the charges, but he did manage to stay away from her, and so they haven't been refiled. It was a deal. But it was pretty much admitted to on tape.

It’s just dawned on me that JJ was acting up more and more by the time they killed and buried him. He was acting up because the person who took care of him and loved him most was gone from his life- Tylee. Of course Lori couldn’t control him and he knew the truth about things that happened. How sad that those two beautiful children were murdered to keep them quiet and for their money.

The police could have stopped all of this if they’d have listened to Charles, even if there was a chance he was lying, they should have at least made sure the children were safe while they did an investigation, sickening that they all had to die before the police did anything.

He frequently took his little sister's SSI money, failed to call the police immediately when it was obvious something was going on, and ended up admitting to raping his wife in the middle of a divorce. My daughter was in an at fault accident leaving church after dark and wasn't paying attention and made a turn the insurance only paid of the car to we have to give them 5 grand so they could get a favorable interest rate she's never been last her first car I cosignand and paid it off she need missed a payment

The prosecutor is doing a lousy job for somebody who is allegedly guilty of so many murders. If the case against Chad weren't so strong, he'd probably go free. Of course, Chad influenced Lori,, she married him. The influence went both ways. Both are evil to the max.
I agree. I hope the prosecutors steps up and show their defense side and be more prepare for rebuttles. I feel like Chad, and his attorney are trying to influence and manipulate everyone to think Chad id innocent and there could be a different story. But there is not.
It is not an easy case.
The case is strong, I don't think there is a chance that Chad will be found not guilty.
Question is guilty in what extent, so what sentence would be "fair".
And this is where the prosecutor should be VERY careful.
In Lori's trial they had messages where Chad wrote Lori that he would follow her anywhere.
They also pointed out that in Lori's past, there already died people under strange circumstances leaving her to profit from it...
They ended up arguing that she was at least equally "in charge" possible even more like Chad.
As much as I think Chad is guilty and needs to get life also (I am not a DP fan)...
I don't like now the prosecutor argues that Chad was the mastermind and Lori the one who was manipulated.
It cannot be both and she was already convicted for being a LOT more than a manipulated bystander.
I’m happy to hear he has some living siblings. Initially, I thought his entire family was wiped out, but it’s good to hear. He has two other brothers he can rely on for support.
They were step-brother. Much older i think and I am not sure they were close.

It seems that Tylee was easy manipulated when it came to Charles... According to Colby Charles was a great father while Alex wasn't even in the picture while they grew up.
So it was very strange to me seeing how unemotional Tylee reacted to Charles death and how easy she went along with all those lies about Charles being killed in self defense..while he was set up to get murdered that day.
But Lori knew that Tylee would be more protective of JJ.
JJ und Tylee loved each other so dearly that they had to kill them at almost the same time because neither of them would have been quiet about the other one vanishing.
As "perfect" as Yellowstone may be to get rid of someone.. and as stupid Chad, Lori and Alex were thinking they could get away with all they've done..
"Losing" both minor children during/after a visit at Yellowstone would have been WAY too obvious.
So I think it was a "family fun day" to give JJ too, but mostly Tylee a sense of safety and trustworthiness.
JJ was little enough to be overpowered easy but Tylee needed to be ready to let down her guard and why would she think that people who spend a fun day with her and JJ at Yellowstone would be capable of killing them days, maybe hours later..
Tragic.. if she hadn't gone along with the murder of her stepfather and raised alarms instead .. she and JJ might bee still alive.

I love and respect Hank Hill as a great man. Please don't compare him to the monster. Also, it is not terrible to ask to borrow money from your family. Why is it relevant to any of this? When you grow up with a narcissistic parent you develop a way of dealing with them for self-preservation. It is awful that she traded loving her children to love this man. She loved him, over her children because he obviously provided something she had been desiring over her children.

I think Charles Value was the stabilizing force in Colby's life. He was just a child when his mother married Charles. Charles was really the only father he really knew.
Colby’s testimony shook Pryor to the ground. I could see Lori being influenced by men and Colby personally witnessed her being married numerous times. Chad was the last of a long list of men in not all that many years and he was around when her children disappeared. Colby did great in what you can see is so painful for him.

I’d me absolutely focused on my client and his fate rather than another individual who may or may not one day eventually be- in a hypothetical scenario- be charged. The defense really needs to focus on one singular story they are going with,.. not several theories. To me this defense is semi-effective, but as the trial continues the becomes less and less credible/effective. Giving 3-5 alternative theories isn’t necessarily better and unfortunately for Mr. Daybell, it feels like that’s what his attorney and he are doing…
he has to instill reasonable doubt that it could have been someone else... It's not going to work though. 😢

Feel so sorry for Colby. I got so emotional watching him.. the defense technique is to make all the people testify look bad and defend Chad that he did not do anything wrong. Chad is not innocent. and I hope and pray that all the jurors could see how manipulative, ugly, evil, and criminal minded he is...and finds him guilty. It will be injustice if he walks or found not guilty. I feel like the defense attorney has a similar mindset of Chad... Maybe that's why he took his case..
