Cool weather has finally come to Alabama with lows in the low to mid 20s in the forecast. It is about time! Thank you, Demeter and Persephone, or if you prefer the Sumerian gods, Emesh and Ninurta. LOL! I've been busy harvesting and preserving, turnips, Pak Choi, Komatsuna, Yellow Heart Winter Choy, Tatsoi, and Swiss Chard. I'll continue to harvest from the Swiss Chard through the winter and spring. The red cabbage and Napa Cabbage are forming heads, I have a second crop of Pak Choi that will be ready to pick in a week, and the cauliflower and broccoli have begun flowering. Also growing are carrots and parsnips, and they are looking good. About the time the carrots and parsnips are ready to pick, I will have already started seed starts for my winter and spring gardens. My fall garden was big this year, but my winter garden will be bigger. I grow by the motto, "Grow big, or grow bigger!" I already have what I want to grow, and where already figured out for the most part. I think I am going to need more neighbors to pawn my excess onto. The chickens can only eats so much. I've more or less finished canning for the season, 8 pints of salsa, 27 pints of tomato sauce, 12 half-pints of strawberry kiwi jelly, and 12 half-pints of pineapple preserves. Happy Thanksgiving!
I came in a moment late for the live and missed the lead video you put up in the beginning. That's awesome. I like how it upped your already-high production value. It's nice having you on there full time, Camera Guy!
couldn't make the chat today, super informative video Cali Kim and Camera Guy- I cannot say enough good things about these microgreens - the seed germination is 100% how do you do that!!!?
