    I absolutely love guavas! I'm from Barbados I see people growing guava trees in their backyard and I have been wondering if I can grow guava in containers because I dont have much space. Thank you for showing me how to grow guava containers. I'm planning on growing some next year 😃👍 🌱

      I'm so happy this helped. You can definitely grow some in containers. This tree is still thriving and growing. It had its bad days when we moved due to my lack of watering. However I just recently put it on a drip and it's doing Fantastic.

    Wow great video, removing mulch and replacing it on top again. The bottles are an interesting idea, much lighter and safer than putting broken ceramic pots or rocks on the bottom. Good draining soil surely is vital to fruity success.

      Thank you, I agree about the water bottle much much lighter. Specially after everything goes into the pot. It gets heavy. Thank you for watching 🙂

    I am challenged with my four and a half year old Guave Tree.
    Gave last year it's first harvest then got a purple spotted allergies.
    Decided to cut back on mulch and water to 10 gals H2O / 15 days.
    Waiting to see results. Any positive direction is always appreciated
    Al

      I haven't had that happen to me. But I'm sure it will come back for sure. Depending on where you live I would keep it under partial shade to give it a break from the heat.

    I have a white guava in a 5 gallon container. It’s bottom watered. It’s in a small patio so I can’t let it get too big. No flowers after a year. Not sure how to help it more

    What do you when the weather drops to 30’s especially with heavy pots where do move em? Will the shed work? Do you think it’s warm enough and safe in the shed??

    • @GardenloveHomestead

      I use to put them in the garage now in the green house. Or cover with a tarp but don't let the tarp touch the tree

    For how many days we should keep them in shade after planting .

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would keep them for about 2 weeks. If possible. Just to give them a chance to grow new roots and get established.

    What is the white thing you spread on the big pot Diana?

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your talking about the powder it's a product called Sure Start by Ebstone. It helps the roots get established and it also has microrizo.

    Do you ever use composted chicken manure on any container plants, if so how do you measure the amount you add?

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do, if it's in a container I would just add about a cup or half a cup. If possible let it compost before adding it.

    using plastic bottles saves money, but increases the amount of micro plastic into the fruits. Micro plastic is already in our fruits and veggies.
