Jolene, this is Dan from D & D Motor's I mentioned Bad Chad in my TH-cam video today on how much Chad has saved me time and money with his fabrication and wielding techniques. A big thank you to both of you. I watch Bad Chad daily.
I watch as much as I can you guys. Love it . 👌 👍 🙏
I also can't wait to get home from work chill a little and watch today's episode the hell with the young and the restless lol keep up the good work hiltz family✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

I find it amusing that there are sooo many people with the "right way" of doing things, but yet!!! have no channel to show their craft.... rosk on Chad and Jolene with the crew, you guys are smashing it.
Keep an eye on engine temp once running. The bottom hose is going to be next to impossible to get the air pocket out of it with the copper making it go up and then back down. May need to put a bleeder on the top of the copper.
@@georgegunner662Doug will listen, Nate will figure it out
Your totally right! Chad has got plenty of self tapping screws that would work lol
It looks home made when they could have soldered in the copper elbow right in the radiator.
@@snakeoil24snake3, I am a professional plumber, I have never seen a copper fitting be able to solder into a cast iron pipe. That is what he said that was made of.
@@williambassett1674 Don't worry William, the young and the restless never listen, they just want to shoot their mouths off and show how intelligent they are. - - not. !!
50 years ago when I was a small kid, I seen my dad cobble things together on the family car to keep it going. A lot of people did this.......they had to,.....limited cash and limited parts. Chad is a very resourceful fellow. He can build something from Nothing.!!
yes there is gas hose for gas or diesel . radiator hose will fail and leave rubber particles in your tank
Happy Birthday Rooster and many more!!!🎉
That exhaust pipe is going to be two small for the gases to escape for a V8 engine it should be at least a 2” pipe all the way but he will not listen to what we say because he knows best
Do any of these cars get sold or are they lawn art.
it's OK just WON'T - go 😅 25% less Giddy up go😮33%?
I agree Chad and Jolene has a great crew working together they get it done, I think Chad is trying to help the average budget builder try to figure out other options than spending money when maybe could use what’s already available on hand, Thanks Chad and Jolene
The young and the restless are too moronic to understand this.! Chad constantly explains this, and I, for one, hope, and know, that he won't change just to satisfy someone else's over inflated ego. Go Chad, Jolene, and Team Hiltz !!
If you don’t want comments that you don’t like delete your TH-cam account.comments positive and negative make you money.not everyone has to agree with the way you go about building a car so get over it.
Disintegrated rubber will end up in the fuel lines and possibly the carbs.
Just scabbing things together. SMH
It won’t ever be driven more than a mile at best!
You can always save money and that's how you become a millionaire. It's like using silica free sandblasting media so you can breath it all in without a mask, which is one of the really top notch tips I learned from Chad. Keep up the good work!
I wouldn't get down on people's ideas, they're helping you earn a living from their attendance on You tube. Also you may bemissing out on a good idea. Unless of course, you know better..... I thought not. We're all open to suggestions.
Nice 👍... Happy Birthday, Rooster
Might be choking down the exhaust to much,Nate will know.Awesome to see all the guys working together
Thanks everyone for sharing Love your camera work Jolene.God Bless you all.
OMG now he's using a radiator hose for gasoline fill hose what's next lol
That poor dog never gets much love. I always loved mine and I got ten times more from them in return.
Do not use radiator hose it'll break down after a while
That's when you get a new hose.
For some reason unknown too me TH-cam would not let me make a comment yesterday after the 4th attempt they threatened me! Thankyou for making me laugh Jolene, when you said the petrol tank was leaking Chad and Nate's faces were a picture 📸 Happy Birthday Rooster 🐓 Go for it Team Hiltz 👁🐅👌
Awesome, Thanks....Happy Birthday Rooster
Such dodgy workmanship
Waiting for it all to go back together when the crew is ready including Rooster (top dude) to dress up like the ANTHILL MOB for the cruise, we still feel for doug painting the interior high as a kite but that is real hot rod fun with friends.
The best way to put a correct exhaust system on the car is to get it to a muffler shop and get it done done right.
Muffler shop’s are expensive, took my 350z in for an estimate on replacing 6 gaskets at 3 different locations in Calgary and there prices are outrageous.. $500.00 to $700.00 for them to replace 6 lousy gaskets. ,What a shame.
Cheaper to rent a hoist and do it yourself ..$25.00 an hour for the hoist and 6 gaskets at $ 12.00 a piece.
I understand why Chad makes the choices he does.
Everything is so expensive now days..think about it man..
Hey there guys as always we really enjoy the show, probably won’t mater to ya but the necking own of the exhaust will creat back pressure on the motor, I’m sure if you’d like Nate could explain! One way or the other keep up the great work and by the way watching Jolene’s channel wanted to say we really support all you do and are anything but just a camera person ‼️👍😊
Rubber hose for fuel is needed otherwise it will disintegrate
No
If you cut the right angle off the bottom radiator port you will have a simple r angle connection.
Dang brother you just told us a great idea an you could have got rid of the gap by doing the flange trick on the trailer ball ....lol love you guys humble as always to watch greatness in the making always God speed yall
Amazing amount of work you guys get done, and please give yourself a work bench for the small projects .
Also that exhaust welding will cost you some HP ,they sell reducers better flow.
* Question for Jolene*
Hi Jolene i was wondering after all the years of Chad explaining his work to the camera for us folks at home here.
That, im curious if you ever catch him at home , when he's by himself doing little jobs around the house, that you've ever heard him explaining his next move or why his doing it this way? Lol
Wonding its kinda became habit for him.hehehe
Thanjs Jolene love your guys show
Long time fan
Your right there is a difference is gas hoses. Regular rubber will get soft and eventually break down.
Lots of things goin on..getting it done ✔️ 😊...happy Birthday Rooster 🐓..im liking this Hudson...cya tomorrow
I know you don’t want to go get parts but to chock down that exhaust to that small of pipe will rob power from the engine
That exhaust is very small in diameter for a small block V8. It mostly will be too restrictive and cause it run sluggish. Love the look you're going for but would use a larger diameter.
THE ROOSTER LIGHTS ARE AWESOME.
C’mon man. Really with the exhaust!
Happy Birthday, Rouster.
Harry from NFLD, Jolene your pretty quiet , but I had a good laugh about the gas tank leaking ! 😊
So a "Professional" uses a jigsaw to cut that metal versus a plasma cutter?! Oic, innnnteresting...
maybe because the fuel tank was full with nothing but a rag covering the opening. BOOM
@@gordondurkee7612 Use a soup can over it with duct tape and a welding blanket, its real life not "Hollywood" you will be fine. lol
Is there anyone that lives nearby to pay Chad a visit to show him how that alternator bracket is supposed to be mounted? Then the belts wouldn't interfere with the lower rad hose.
They should just use the alternator bracket off a ‘72-79 vette. They are designed for use with the short water pump, will bolt right up to those 305 heads, will eliminate any interference with that lower radiator hose and look better to boot.
Wow lets suffocate the exhaust.. not long ago all he used as exhaust pipe for fab
Good evening everyone and happy birthday Rooster also a big congratulations to you Jolene and chad
I like watching you build your projects, Go for it Chad!
Welding that small pipe inside of the exhaust pipe will burn the valves in the engine.
Proficiency and work ethics provide progress at minimal cost. Being cheap is dumb
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROOSTER MAN 🐓🐓🐓🎂🍺🍻🍻🍻
Next time slice your pipe twice, then squeeze it around other pipe then weld them together. Makes for a better fit and look.
Happy Birthday Rooster.
The gas pump will look nice if you can adda rubber grommet on the hole you drilled
Smaller the exhaust pipe the less power the engine will make
It's a 305 Rita
Nathan is a good mechanic wires should always be saddled or inside a grommet no chafing Goofy Australia
Chad is changing more and more. Two years ago he would not have succumbed to such dodgy tactics. Seriously, you are doing a project! Eg fill the radiator with water BEFORE you install. Use compressed air. It is not hard at all. No comments like this are allowed though! That is evidenced by the somewhat snide comments peppered in throughout the video. I mean come on! If you are going to do stuff that is so thoughtless and rushed and say oh if it does not work out that's fine we change it. I mean SLOW DOWN. As for the bottom radiator hose and using a radiator hose for a fuel hose.......... dear oh dear! Why would you do that to your new fuel system all to save $5?? It all beggers belief. You say to comment. The fact is you only want to hear what you call 'positive' "that makes me feel good" stuff! I pretty much watch these days to see what Doug and Nate are up to and for the 'comedy'. The worry is that others are going top do as you do Chad because you are supposed to be the pro!
Thanks for sharing with us today.
Give poor old Rooster a work bench to play with those headlamps. Bending in half is not a comfortable way to work.
Chad doesn't believe in work benches...
Apparently work benches aren't a thing anymore.
Change name from Bad Chad Customs to Achin’ Back Garage or…Where The Hell’s The Bench Garage.
My bad back is crying for rooster
Gofundme…
Ball sack table 💯😂😂😂 great build looks awesome Chad & crew 👍🏻
Chad, you really don’t have to justify to anyone why you work the way you do. I enjoy how you make stuff work. After all you are a mad scientist and saving a ton of money on the way. You have a good team around you. Thanks for the video Jolene.
How come you only have three hubcaps on your trailer
Really??? If true that is so funny!!
I agree with most of the thing Chad blabbers on about but it becomes time wasting and not necessary to make mistakes ! If you have time and are willing to learn then take some advice and get the job done with no mess no fuss ! A wise man once told me that a fool learns from his own mistakes and a wise man learns from others mistakes !😢 if you know what I'm saying 😮
That old blue car is just cool because look at it kinda got the gangster look
Controversial is not the word I would use. Good luck.
Your shop needs a small work table, maybe 2x3 in casters, having rooster work off the floor, you can do better
Happy birthday Rooster from your fans in NY
*** WARNING***
You're going to have engine troubles reducing the exaust flow as well as diminished horse power.
It's a 305. It has no HP
@@deansutherland3570 140! 😅
No no no , he doesn't spend money on the projects, he saves it for buying vehicles that are finished and drivable, like the fancy new Corvette... He knows the projects are for show, never to be driven more than from the old building to the new building, so that exhaust is fine 😆, not really but ya...
This is starting to become comedy hour!Get back on Jolene's car before it starts to rust.
Comedy hour crossed with arts n crafts 😂, definitely not what it used to be 😢.
Reducing the exhaust pipe down to a smaller size is way too restrictive for adequate exhaust gas flow from the small-block Chevy engine. The engine exhaust valves will run hotter as well.
Safety is always a priority
Can’t you put the alternator on the driver side ? So the belt don’t interfere with the lower rad hose….
Happy Birthday Rooster . live the dream n enjoy
Another great video! With teamwork! Making for a great day! Thanks for sharing Jolene!
I’m convinced u only do a few minutes a day on TH-cam for money. Not for building cars anyone can drive or drive safely. As long as it drives to the black storage bldg
Another nice episode…sure wish you guys would try and use some steel work benches. If you have used them , you would never be without. They become as much of a valuable tool as a metal clamp.
Happy birthday Rooster 🎉
Happy Birthday Rooster!
The Hudson is going to look outstanding Chad and Jolene 👍👍
Why would you want to reduce the exhaust flow? Better off going to a 2 1/2 or 3 inch pipe.
Why all the hurry now ? Patience, patience, patience. Too many cooks😢.
WHO IS ROOSTER? HIS STORY PLEASE...
I think he’s taking Dougs job
Lost wild roaster looking for hens
That's the way you build real hot rods
Rooster is such a cool rooster, what is his connection with the bad Chad family/shop
all that engine and no exhaust flow
It’s a 305. Not much engine to begin with.
Dont breathe that Galvanized welding fumes. It will give you the bends.
pyrene gas poisoning
@badgascoupe never knew the name of it. But I have experienced the results. We never mig welded Galvanized. Always stick welded it. Too much contamination to mig weld it.
On my 34 I modify the reflector to take 9000 style halogen bulb, also drill for 1157 socket for park and turn signal
Sometimes, you need to put parts on to reveal what the next problem will be, and then you do the work around to fix it. Looking🇬🇧👍😎
Ya'll are blessed. Not even going to give the idea what it takes to be Bad Chad and Company
Transmission cooler lines and cooler infront radiator
You could of flared the smaller pipe then welded it to the larger pipe, just a thought
Great job on the camera rooster . 👍
Happy Birthday Rooster
A smart man would improve the brakes, after boosting the power. No power brakes; drum brakes in front !
Agreed, Rooster should have a little bench to work off…. Little hard on the back!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROOSTER
I like the idea of getting this one finished.
Nobody has a problem with the radiator it’s the lower radiator hose
Good job guys keep it up
I hope ole Rooster realizes there is a left and right and a top and bottom to those headlights.
Jesus you got that old dude working on the floor for the love of god buy or build a work bench
What happens when the world runs out of metal coat hangers.. ?
Lmao
Bite your tongue!
Then he will have to learn to fit the metal better lol... I swear he must have been a sheetrock guy with the gaps he leaves to fill in 😂, or maybe that's how Canadians are taught to weld 🤔
Great channel, great variety , great builds , great filmmakers , great real people
No censorship in this country is allowed.
Hey rooster, happy birthday my friend you don't look a day over 30😊
wow that welding camera work jolene looking good yall
Will that flex tubing interfere with the exhaust frequency for proper exhaust flow?
Chad had repeatedly said he wants to use the parts he has on hand to complete his projects message received. What about the machinery he purchased over the last two years? yard art or will they be put back in service?
And he bought the cover for the tranmission. Wow, you didn't make it, lol
Like that homemade air lock he put in the lower radiator hose lmfao 😂, instead of doing it right...
