They been needed one of those a long time ago. I've been trying to talk my brother in getting one to save on are backs plus we are getting older we don't have the same streath as we once had.
Nate has another make it work project in the Nissan Forklift and with his practical approach the forklift's braking system will be revived. I'm glad to see Chad has found and decided to use a stainless steel exhaust pipe on the 1936 Hudson Terra Plane . The stainless steel pipe will work great and last years longer. Chad has created a great looking headlight with his talent as a fabricator and welder which looks great using his in stock materials. Rooster is having a blast working and learning from Chad and the Team Hiltz Members. It was great to see Rooster's welder bead attempts on the scrap metal.
Great evening Jolene and Chad. Sounds like a full crew tonight. Love that you guys stayed true and didn’t sellout. You have a wonderful down to earth attitude and the show to promote just get out there and enjoy it.
My old shop we got an old propane forklift and we had a crumbled storage parking lot with storage trailers half in dirt. When one forklift got stuck we would try to pull it out with the other. Always blew some big buss bar fuse. Turns out you can not use forklift for pulling or pushing ,only lifting
Jolene- You need to have Chad take some time to weld up a mobile bench with a vice mounted for demonstration purposes. It could even incorporate a tool holder on the side for some frequently used tools. A little organization would make your videos much more efficient.
Well I'm a mechanical engineer by Trade my friend, and I can think of atleast 20 different ways this could be done 😊 how would you suggest the best way is with what Chad has laying around without spending money 😊
@@travis1170Fake chrome over rust? C'mon man! Is that one of the 20 ways you'd do it? What's gonna happen to that chrome when he tries to sandblast or sand the housing? Oh wait, he won't, he'll just paint over it!
Love your content, I am a 70 year old from North Carolina, USA. I like seeing it done like when I was a kid and we didn't have piles of money. These other shows can't touch you . I love it when you make what you have fit. The other's say let's get this it's only $15,000. That doesn't work for my billfold. So Chad and Jolene keep up the great work and ignore the nay sayers. Try not to miss your channel each day, if I do I get it first thing in the morning.
Just bought a set of 4 steelie gauges for my Impala $1780 shipped from the states to Australia. You can see why Chad uses what his got as it would cost a fortune to do every car he does. Unfortunately will be the last car i restore as it has become to expensive.
Add some grease zerks to the forklift after you get it freed up. Wow can't believe the struggle on a simple headlight...shop is in serious need of some roll around shop space.
Great job guys. You just welded the headlamp mounting ring solid, that has three slotted tabs for adjusting screws to aim the lamp. Subbing parts from donors that don't work together, always creates issues. Where did the original headlight parts go?
I set the playback speed to 1.5 and that helps speed up and can still understand what they say. Also don't have to skip ahead which helps them with the algorithms.
Been watching your channel for some time sine the bike-hauler car build. I watch a lot of car channels in TH-cam so I have a lot of comparisons of style and technique. Part of the charm of your channel for me is that you are in Nova Scotia, where my Dad was born and raised. I had my doubts about the '50 Ford styling, but it turned out fine. I am looking forward to you finishing Jolene's Bugatti." The Hudson build is interesting, in part because I like the idea of four suicide doors. I had them on my '53 Anglia. It was a LHD vehicle and I did the work in our Army hobby garage. Not an easy conversion, but cool. I just watched your episode where Rooster and you were working on the headlights. I have a couple of questions and a comment: Why didn't you do something about the rust in the bucket you got from the '50 before welding it in? And, is there any provision to adjust the headlights? It looks like you eliminated that part. And, while I think the idea of using plastic chrome to match the headlight surround to the shell is a good one, why not wait until you painted the headlight shell? I enjoy the show. I might not do many of the things the way you do, but they are your creations, not mine.
We are waiting for a car to be finished like you said which means to me being safety inspected and driving, that is what putting a car together on utube is all about .
Yeah the forklift will save you lot work see every thing coming long good with Hudson keep up the good work Chad Doug Nathan and nice to see rooster 🐓 help out to and Jolene is always doing good work on the camera
I think you should work on Jolene's Vet. Make it look different by adding 15" to the height of the windows & roof. It would make it one of a kind. It only sits in the garage of driving to an empty town. It loses it's value the way it is. I think yes would get more looks driving it Canning with that blue Caddy in your garage.
Happy Birthday Rooster, i can see your having a wonderful time visiting Chad , Jolene , Nate and Doug in Nova Scotia and learning new auto restoration techniques .
don't burn the queen's leg when tries to get in and out, or passengers in the rear. make a sheet shield maybe like big rig stacks have. you don't want curious folks touching your hot looking car exhaust. just a after thought but it is your build, i am not telling how to how
Don't forget Louvres to visually impair operation. Chad has seemed to have forgotten about 'em after going louvre mad months ago. I think the Corvette needs customizing, too.
One thing that I'm impressed with. Chad is always looking for a Deal. He don't spend money because he can. Smart Business! I like watching because I learn something every time and he is willing to show the process of the Build! Keep up the good work!

Good job with the headlights now pull it apart to wire it.

Good evening everyone I hope all is well and another amazing show thank you for sharing
Cutting up the Sea Cans is perfect job for a plasma torch.
Great addition to the shop folks!!!! Hopefully it serves yas well. Cheers!
Nice idea with the “ Bad Chad chrome “on the head lights 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Nate saves the day again, that exhaust will look cool
Doug I have to say hi to you too. I didn't know that you were there. All of you have a blessed evening and night. God bless
Keep up the good work. I have learned a lot watching your channel. Watching from South Africa. I don't miss your show
👍👍Happy Happy thank you for ditching the flex pipe 🤙👍
You guys need a decent workbench. The floor or a chair doesn't cut it.
Why? Tell us exactly why. Unless it can move around with you a bench just slows you down walking back and forth
Maybe when you have him build the car for you. He’ll get a bench.
In 1979. I was scolded in high school by my metal shop teacher for working on the floor!
I graduated! Lol
It does not have to be huge, and could be on castors to park near the job in hand...
You think a spring would help on the forklift peddle?
The "door" on the lamp is called the "bezel"!
Looking great, Keep on Keeping on.
Nathan ìs amazing he can work on anything and finger it out and fix it He is a Keeper he idea gold
Great mechanical wonders like Nate are rare. With his great experience and knowledge and can do attitude

Why ???? @jim-bu6si
Weld tabs on headlight frame
Then screw frame into tabs
Screws with springs for adjustment
Chrome tape over rust yeah that's the trick 😂
What would you have done then bro ????

A lot of old cars adjusted the headlights by undoing the big nut inside the housing then moving the housing. Let's hope this has it.
Cutting the storage unit 👍. Getting a hilo too. Happy for you
Looks. Like. Nice. Machine. ❤❤❤❤
Nathan sure is a good guy to have around!

Watching paint dry would be less harmful to your brain cells
