It's very interesting how Kafka didn't transform during the entire exam even though it's an easy ticket towards his dream but when it's for someone else's sake he wouldn't even waste a second. It feels like he has a strong sense of pride (or at least trying to earn his merit) despite his physical state... transforming means letting go of that pride for the sake of something greater than himself and it is admirable. (PS: He didn't lift the company car because he's trying to show off but because it is a vehicle entrusted to him)
I feel like Kafka wants to keep his humanity as much as he can and be respected for his ability as a human, not a Kaiju since he never ask for the power and it was force upon him Because if he does did do the exam using his Kaiju and pass, did he, Kafka Hibino, really pass the exam? Or was it Kaiju No. 8? Not to mention, it would put a lot of expectations on his shoulder that he would never be able to live up to because they are Kaiju No. 8’s achievement, not Kafka’s.
He got 0% on his suit. The lowest ever and the defence force mainly use firearms. Even if he transformed his hands only to try blend in. People are going to immediately question how this random guy with 0% has the strength to one punch a kaiju.
It was played for comedy, but Kafka totally commanded the Honju to life and then comedicly said don't. (I think you noticed too) Shinomiya clowning Kafka was so funny, she's cool.
Good thing they didn't talk about his transformation while Captain Mina was listening (they DID assume they were alone in the hospital room and talked freely ... this would have been bad)
Director Daddy seems like an Endeavor-type which means I have little but disdain for him for how he treats his daughter. Like his motivations for trying to protect her are clear, but noble intentions don’t mean shit if you go about it by emotionally neglecting and abusing your kid to do the impossible and make up for your own shortcomings.
This is show is pretty great so far, some chill comedy bits between the good action. Started pretty slow but after episode 6 it's been picking up the pace.
I think it's obvious that that guy and Kafka are totally different, and it wouldn't make any sense for him to send the little bug to give kayju powers to Kafka, in the least, I don't read the manga but there are things that even in anime make common sense,,,, Another thing I thought when I saw the episode is that since these suits monitor the physiological and medical part of the applicants, it would be almost safe to think that this would raise some kind of alarm if he transformed even the slightest part of his body, although at the same time In the end he ended up completely transformed and does not seem to have alarmed those who monitor his vital signs
I know they're different, but the fact he's in the same clean up crew as Kafka just seems so sketch to me! Why is he there, why choose the clean up crew? Who is he trying to get close to? I just had so many questions in my head, and just weird timing... Also when the Kaiju fly approached him in the hospital he specifically said "Found you", so it's not a silly coincidence he turned into a kaiju, he was chosen, and searched for.
i haven't read the manga either but if i had to guess maybe that guy told the parasite to take over kafka body thinking that he probably died but kafka survive but since the parasite had orders to take over his body that what it did but seems it didn't go as planed seeing how kafka is still kafka
It did give alarms to those who monitor the signals. Hoshina says himself that his vitals cut off while Kaiju No. 8 was active. They just ignored it because the idea was preposterous at the time.

I dont think tophat Kaiju or whatever to call him knows about Kafka at all. He asked want Kaiju no. 8 is when he heard about it on the phone and if he responsible for Kafka he should know that Humans call him no. 8 from the start.
