What was great people started clap. For some reason she never did that again. One funny part was a lady gave her tips to improve her performance. My kids are in their 40s and when we see a kid doing that we criticize with comments like, 7 points for volume 6 points for creative. Sometimes the parents will get involved. Always quiets them down. I do it to older kids that are just being obnoxious. Love the look on their face.

    Two options here:
Either Sydney is absolutely entitled and believes that everything should go according to her plans. Which is probably why her MIL is that strict with her to get some sense into her. Her husband should also give her a good talking to ...or preferably think whether or not this marriage makes sense...
Or MIL has been torturing Sydney so much that she completely broke down and desperately wanted someone to understand her and feel what she's going through. In which case she needs some therapy, her MIL needs a restraining order and her husband needs a kick in the butt.
The way she acts and reasons her action, it's way more likely that it's the first. Such audacity.

If a ‘friend’ told me they were going to do what Sydney did, I would have contacted the police straight away and shown them the text messages

It's unfortunate that Sydney didn't get to meet Mr. Sparky before enjoying her 'Uber' to the police station.

Sometimes a person says something or does something so stupid that one has to wonder how that person managed to get through life without being arrested so much sooner than when they did. That person is Sydney. Wow. What an idiot.

Oh, let's face it. Sidney's just jealous of OP's great relationship with her MIL. I'd say Sidney's looking pretty green by now. I had a great relationship with my Mil 😊

I was expecting Sydney to have stolen her own MIL's card (e.g., because the MILs were friends and Sydney's MIL accidentally left her card at Tara's MILs house) and wind up having to work for her MIL to pay her back to avoid jail.

I'm guessing Sydney's MIL accidentally bumped into her ONCE, and that led Sydney into thinking "she beats me to a pulp every time."

Part of Alan King's comedy routine was how his wife and his mother got along wonderfully. Whenever there was any trouble in the family, his wife was at his mother's side. Don't worry, Ma! Whatever it is, Alan will pay for everything!

Most major credit cards in america are issued by banks and your credit limit is based on the amount of money called a saving or checking balance of your account! Most also are insured up to a certain amount if the card is stolen and you might get back all of the money charged to your card if where used has clear video cameras of the person who has your card! No-one actually successfully steals someones credit card in this age of internet and micro cameras, plus some cards even have gps systems!

"There are other people who want to spend other people's money." Yes, they're called "criminals" and "politicians," and some people are in both groups at once.
