I had 2 Saturns, 96 SC 1 and a 99 SL 2. Loved them both. Common problem was the coolant temp sensor causing high idle.

I'm from Florida an the area I'm from has a smart car painted like a little tikes car - will have to get a picture next time I see it .. an your old Impala is sweet been looking for one near me but there usually not for sale till they hit high miles

36:47 Nope Randy that is a LaCrosse; and judging by the front grille and the hubcaps, a 2008-2011 CX model. the Lucerne has 2 large single headlights, while the LaCrosse has the double headlights. I wouldn't mind at all if you found a Lucerne at the yard in the next video!

I still have my 08 Volvo S80 as my first car. Expensive to fix, but safe as hell. Saved my life in a rear end collision and still have that car today. Will never sell.

For your comment about the Saturn as a poor mans car, well my Grandfather had money but we always drove disposable cars. Keep the car till it dies then get another cheap one. Even his house he live mid-class since he didn't really want to show people he had money. What made his happiness was his family and not material things. So you never know there maybe people with money driving a Saturn.
For the Impala. I might have been though a different auction you can look it up. I forget the website but the Nico Brothers use it when they bid on cars and it shows if it was played before. That most likely how the ashes and check engine light came on

Lucky Tesla has their own insurance now, and it’s actually a lot less expensive than regular ICE cars. Never had to wait in any lines with plenty of super chargers on my cross country road trips in my Model 3 either (maybe OKC could use some more).
Driving is my therapy too. Unless I get stuck behind a bicycle I can't pass

Thanks for the Saturn SC1 review. I am searching out a replacement 2002 SC2 for my wife, she drove a SC2. Main draw for her was the driver side trick door. Great local/regional shopping car. And that SC2 sipped gas! Not many left........ It is like the "Hunt for Red October". Give it more time and I know I will find one. Southwest United States is a likely location as this car will develop frame rusting and will fail the annual inspection. We are in East Ohio.
I prefer the older American cars and trucks over the imports. Give me an old school vehicle anytime over the newer ones.

My cuz had a SC2 as her first car back in the day. Was in a head on accident, with a combined speed of 50-60 MPH… not only did she walk away… she drove the car home… those cars were super safe for the time especially…

That was my friends Volvo. It was involved in the high speed chase a little while back. The guy running from the police lost control and hit a few cars including this Volvo.

When a car is a total loss the insh co will determine the value. Prior damage will effect the value so they will make note of all damage.

Saturns for the most part were good cars. My older brother had a 1999 SL1 4 door. It was only $1000 at the time in 2009-2010, very reliable, and was actually good in a crash. He was smashed by a 03 Jeep Liberty failing to yield on a left turn and walked out of it with no injuries. Good car and have nothing bad to say about it.
im with you on the older cars randy they were built to last your in a minor accidents it can be easily repaired. these new cars are paper one hit and its done.
I’m 22 and own 2 Dodge Grand Caravans. A 1998 SXT with the 3.3 which was my car then I bought a 2017 SXT Loaded as my second car but my first car purchase which was my decision. Why a 22 year old wants a minivan? Well simply it’s because I like to road trip and go out with all my friends in one car. So it fits 7 comfortably and it’s the most practical car ever. Storage all over and comfortable ride and cheap to maintain. Plus for the price you can’t find a 7 seater

I think you should buy the Saturn sc1 because it would be a great reliable car for you to keep it can be your back up car and my dad have a 01 or 02 sc2 in the silver it was great
lol I had a sc2 it was fully loaded with a sunroof went out over the back window. One thing I remember about it was it vibrated from new at lights when just sitting lol it was peppy it had a sport button 😂 it was a great fun reliable car it took a ass kicking 😂
Central January 2023 I have owned a 2002 Volvo V70 XC cross country. Black with a black leather interior. 94000 miles one owner . Two things are wrong with it the AC doesn't work ☹️ . What's the time the instrument panel doesn't work. So I have to guess how fast I'm going and how much gas is in the tank I can deal with that 💯

You could get an SC1 with an automatic transmission, but it was an option. The Dealer where I am would always order them in with the auto
Coolant temp sensor. There are 2 of them. Easy to change in the side of the head. . Cheap too. I would rather have a single cam engine. Twin cams liked to eat oil. Single cam engines were solid. Underpowered but solid.
I love the maxima. I had the 2011 s and yes they all have a CVT after I believe 2009
And yes, they’re performance cars.. lol the 4 door sports car.

Randy I remember that one it was picked up you said that it had over a half a tank of gas so ware did it go somebody was driving it period you should check the mileage and see how much it was driven on your insurance with out you knowing it you should sue them for using it Charlie kretschmar Phoenix Arizona

I have a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder SV currently has 163000 miles as of this am I never seen them anywhere I look at Marketplace and a few show up with well over 200000 miles on them. I guess folks like me keep them till they are run to the ground .We bought it used in 2015 with 1620000 miles knock on wood tires, batteries and normal oil changes is all we've had to do to it other than a couple of weeks ago last oil change mechanic said we needed to change the fan clutch so $500 later it's replace.

its annoying that the Volvo locks with the keys in the car. as someone who works at a Volvo dealership, this happened to me once when I locked the keys in a loaner car and I had to find the spare key to unlock it. its super annoying

Still with cheap cars with 200 000 MIles going for 3 grand where I live I taken the Saturn any day. 35 to 40 mpg Body panels are easy to replace etc . As long as it runs , drive and is easy on the pocket book I take it cheaply. Everyone wants Prius , honda etc and these fly under people radar . Only thing diff I want is Station wagon version of the Saturn .
