I think the only thing that's more impressive than the level of detail that RR builds to, is that they are consistently able to have clients that can afford this level of work. Keep up the great work.
When clients know your standard, they'll reach out if they're the type looking for such standard. The videos help too. I'm sure he's getting some referrals as well, again, due to the quality of work
Quality work and reputation sell themselves. Not everyone will be willing to pay for it, but most will if they've done some research, even if they're on a budget. I'm that type of customer that would rather downsize the building or use less expensive finishes to save $$ rather than compromise on the core building details. Nothing else matters if the building doesn't last.
Morning Gents, Always enjoy the videos. Real star of the show today was that OBS Ford flatbed, man that is a sweet rig! Let me know if it ever needs a new home.
I am amazed at how quickly and efficiently two men can build these buildings. I swear, these two could have built the pyramids, by themselves! Seriously, Kyle and Greg are two of the hardest working builders you will find. They make it look easy because them have the proper tools, perfect step-by-step execution, and the get-r-done work ethic that built this country. If more people worked this hard and smart this nation would be in a lot better shape than it is. Nice job men!
Small crew, residential or commercial with the same refined construction method including cool products. Investment on tools that make things more efficient (mangi, skeed steer, folding machine…), social media strategy including partnerships for additional revenue and tool supply…They got it all! I bet they could scale up their operation but it’s probably more confortable and less risky like that..
Building that mezzanine is just like another one that he did that was 20 feet wide except this one is 300+ feet long. It’s like rinse and repeat and it’s just that’s a shit load of fucking joist hangers he’s gotta put on.
On the blocking question. Sheeting the top makes it unlikely to move but I could still see a scenario with a lot of weight moving together (maybe multiple golf carts moving at once) the entire floor could theoretically rack in one direction. Of course there's so much attached at the rim that this would basically be impossible but a block every other joist locks the entire diaphragm into a square.
I like the long format videos. I broadcast them to my tv and watch them like a movie. You guys are impressive to get done your jobs with just Greg and you.
What a sturdy and high quality process for building the structure for building this mezzanine. So different than residential builds. Beautiful job guys, you should be proud. 😮❤😊
This building is Friggin awesome, you know the Customer is going to want one on the other side now that he's seen this side, I know I would. Great job guys as usual. What would Saturday be without RR?
I worked like that now 2 back surgeries and 65 birthdays trying to not have pain. Nice work. That was the best used by date. LOL That suit for lifting will save your back later in life very nice.
Fun job for Greg, with him shaking his head in the background! 49:10 mark.... Your video guy really does an awesome job with his unique angles.... I notice and appreciate it!
Not sure what amazes me more, the fact that they build with such precision, or the fact that there is that much demand for golfcarts in that area. I mean...around me they START at $10K for battery. Even the used ones are $7500+. Those are battery powered ones too!
I don’t know if this dude was a Marine but I watch these videos and this is the closest marine corps working environment I’ve seen on TH-cam. So great.
Where do that many gold carts come from that need off site storage. Love following you guys. The most productive two guy team ever. Plus the video guy who brings us along.
Entertaining and informative videos, always, guys. Thank you. Marcel from Saskatchewan. P.S. -25C (-13F) at midnight tonight- A few flurries ending early this evening then mainly cloudy. Wind up to 15 km/h. Low minus 23. Wind chill near minus 31. Risk of frostbite. .Don't know why the line "strike through", but this is what it is right now. Merry Christmas!
When he was talking about 7’4”clearance for the carts I just kept saying in my head don’t forget about the concrete. He never mentioned it that I heard. They pour floors thick in Illinois. Maybe 6” or so.
RR Buildings - The Movie. It took numerous views over a day to actually see the entire thing. Personally, I like the shorter 15-20 min videos, but I guess you've got to make the algorithm happy. Interesting build, though. I always enjoy your videos.
Wow, those are some beefy beams! Wouldn't that blocking make more sense down the center span of the I joist to resist deflection under load? I also feel like there should be a few sheathed shear walls perpendicular to the length of the mezzanine every 4 or 5 bays If they're gonna be storing/loading/unloading vehicles on top.
Great build as always. I liked seeing the OBS Ford. These are great trucks. We have three - they are the only vehicles we own. All have over 200K miles with my '95 Crew Cab at almost 650K. With the addition of the exo-suit will there be a series titled, "RoboBuilder"?
I'm always amazed at how good you guys are at building. Also, I would love to get a redheaded stepchild. Hope to buy one when they come available. Keep up the great work.
I really liked the warning statement at the end. I was just about to go drive my golf cart on my 6,000+ square feet mezzanine, cause that is a normal thing that most people have, but this stopped me and kept me safe. 😂 Do what you've got to do for liability, I suppose. Great build!
Dang, thats a dance floor indeed. I remember when I use to haul fire wood. Cutting large and lifting them into my truck. My wife would say, do you need help? I said no. 😂 I honestly don't know how I did it back then. I'm not strong like Kyle or Greg by a long shot. But I did haul lots and lots of wood every year for my wife's grand parents. I'm happy that I got a chance to do it for them.
Designing BCI for 20+ years. You are going to want to block the top chord in those open bays, use some 2x4 if nothing else. The issue is the way they transfer loading more so than racking from side to side. The top and bottom flanges have to be continuously braced, especially with moving load that the customer will be experiencing and an unbraced bottom chord in the mid-span.
I keep trying to think of a way to use the cut offs from the subfloor. The Festool gadget is kinda kool and actually a little bit scary at the same time.
I worked in a lumber yard back in my early 20’s, and we would get rail cars of OSB from the factory in Louisiana, we would take them out of the rail car, set them down and they would curl up like a banana and then flatten out as they cooled.
Very cool project!! But unless I'm missing something here, I don't understand that in a building that's 100% based on an 8 foot grid, this mezzanine is suddenly 15' based and not 16'. As an example: the LVL's against the outside frame could maybe have been avoided which would have saved a ton of money.
Let's do the math. No matter the grid of the columns, the upper space can store two rows of 60 carts, that's 120. For the lower section you can store 48 carts with a 15' grid and 45 carts with a 16' grid. So the increased capacity is 3 carts on a total of 165, or 1.8 percent. That would for me never be a reason to increase the complexity and therefore the cost of a building. YMMV
Next is a Barndominium Duplex lol; If you can make a loft 300 feet long, you can definitely do a long row of small efficiency rooms or even Hotel rooms!
Hey Kyle I’ve been watching your channel for years now. I too thought the blocking for every other I joist along the wall side was overkill, so when you only had to toe screw the post to the beam on the outside I didn’t get it, I thought your engineer would have wanted a proper connection . Anyway love the channel keep it up you guys 😊
What kind of plywood or osb sheathing do you recommend for interior of my pole barn? Already got it insulated now want to sheath with something. Thanks in advance.
Great long video. Hopefully you have some 4 or 5 hours long video set up for thanksgiving and Christmas and possibly New Year’s. That would be a nice surprise for your subscribers.

Quality always comes first
You get what you pay for in this world, I’d pay RR if they worked in the UK
Quality work and reputation sell themselves. Not everyone will be willing to pay for it, but most will if they've done some research, even if they're on a budget. Quality Sells Itself
All Day Long! 💰
Your videographer is bringing interesting perspectives to the job.
Good job to the person behind the lens.
I think they would benefit from a monopod, if they are not already using one.
That's just what I was going to comment.
Morning Gents, Always enjoy the videos. Real star of the show today was that OBS Ford flatbed, man that is a sweet rig! Let me know if it ever needs a new home.

Well, what also helps a lot is that they stick with a single construction method, that they have optimized and refined over many years.
You’re right. One more observation is they’re train of thought seems to be completely in sync with
If people built as slow as this guy, your average house price would rise a couple hundred thousand
I love the longer format videos! The extra time really lets the banter shine, and it makes the content so much more enjoyable. Keep up the great work!
That building is ridiculous. You could build a small town inside of it. Love it.
Building that mezzanine is just like another one that he did that was 20 feet wide except this one is 300+ feet long. It’s like rinse and repeat and it’s just that’s a shit load of fucking joist hangers he’s gotta put on.
Glad you decided to notch the sheeting around the posts and not leave a gap. Looks so much better.
Except they left the ends open... that would bug me.
Another fantastic video full of great content! Love all the banter back and forth too! Keep up the great work, Kyle and Greg!!
KYLE you and, Greg never cease to amaze me at, how much work you guys get done..!!! Awesome job fellas👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
They're really good at using the machines efficient. It's still lots of work though. I see they use more brains than muscle too
Total honesty, I never thought about hooking a tape on a nail. Gonna remember that one.
This place is coming along great.
Greg, you are THE MAN!!!!!!! That 3/4 plywood is freaking HEAVY!!!! Damn man you are strong.
He sure is. All the heavy shit while Kyle plays with the nail gun.😂🤣
Looks awesome. I'm glad you went around the posts. Yes it takes longer but looks way better

Coming from a deck builder, I can appreciate the work 16 oc takes.
You guys killed it, very efficient!
I worked like that now 2 back surgeries and 65 birthdays trying to not have pain. Nice work. That was the best used by date. LOL That suit for lifting will save your back later in life very nice.
coconut oil=no pain
@@arresthillary9502 I take 1 oz of olive oil every day helps
Impressive work again, The look of the job at the end shows how good a job you do.!!! Excellent job guys.
Greg. Congrats on Kyle letting you cut a board ! It must have been hard for him 😮
greg cuts all the time
What I like about Kyle and Greg is you have that perfect blend camaraderie and competition, I wish you all the success in your endeavors.
Fun job for Greg, with him shaking his head in the background! 49:10 mark.... Your video guy really does an awesome job with his unique angles.... I notice and appreciate it!
Wow! Final shot driving on the mezzanine puts the scale into perspective 😮
Not sure what amazes me more, the fact that they build with such precision, or the fact that there is that much demand for golfcarts in that area. I mean...around me they START at $10K for battery. Even the used ones are $7500+. Those are battery powered ones too!

So funny, you challenge Kyle on a count or a measurement, and it's, like, "Game on!" Nice to see that kind of passion for the numbers.
That was your best video ever! It was as long as the mezzanine. So cool to watch. Thanks
what in the world are all these carts used for, is this place a midwest version of seaside?
Would love to know too. Those aren’t cheap carts either to be storing them so much of the time
Never knew the nail trick. I was a military cop, not much nailing in that career field! Thanks fo the tip!!!!!
Holy moly! This video was movie long, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for sharing...Greg and camera guy too!
Where do that many gold carts come from that need off site storage. Love following you guys. The most productive two guy team ever. Plus the video guy who brings us along.
They are owned by customers
To be honest I did not know you could put your tape on a nail . Nice . You learn something new everyday.
Great job
I am surprised you weren't required to have a mechanical connection between the posts and the beam. Like a Simpson style post cap
Gee weee,, you guys are the mavericks of construction. Keep it up guys.
Says a lot for your work, customer wants you back ..Good work guys.
Loved the build, but the future of that Exo-suit amazes me. Glad I stuck around to 1:36:00.
You should take all the off cuts from the floor decking and screw them to the wall to protect the siding from the golf cart bumpers.
QUALITY SELLS ITSELF
ALL DAY LONG!
☮️💜🇺🇸
I am loving these 1.5hr plus videos.
Almost 2 hours this Saturday! RR are spoiling us 👌🏻
Молодцы ребята! Поработали отлично👍
Crazy amount of golf carts!
Got to love the safety test. I personally guaranty this mezzanine!

lol that’s a good catch. We did check grade from finished concrete
Great job, well done guyz!! 😁👍🏼
Good job Greg! Oh! I think Kyle helped as well.
I always hook on a nail for layout, great job guys
Awesome video lads 👌🏻 quality product and looks great!

This is the customer that everyone dreams of, the gift that keeps on giving if you will 🤑
Get some lights
Honestly Great Clients
Always enjoyable to watch you two.
Very nice work guys, loved the editing on this one!
Such a massive mezzanine!! A little wider would make a nice go cart track!! 😂😂.. I knew you can hook a tape on the nail!
Amazing build!
I’m surprised that some sort of railing was not required.
How do they plan to get the golf cars up there?
You guys make this look so easy. Your skills are, killer.!!!
Great build as always. I liked seeing the OBS Ford. These are great trucks. We have three - they are the only vehicles we own. All have over 200K miles with my '95 Crew Cab at almost 650K. With the addition of the exo-suit will there be a series titled, "RoboBuilder"?

Yeah, an exoskeleton.
Awesome work guys.
It's the unforeseen and good practice that the engineer requires a load path to the foundations
The Sunbelt mega deck sizzor lift has an onboard generator. I had to read the operators manual to figure it out but it was really useful.
I worked in a lumber yard back in my early 20’s, and we would get rail cars of OSB from the factory in Louisiana, we would take them out of the rail car, set them down and they would curl up like a banana and then flatten out as they cooled.
The nail trick works really nice on long runs of siding with alot of cutouts
Maybe you should consider fence post paint, or deck joist paint. The stuff makes great water proofing.
The trash talk back and forth perfect. 😂 everyday with my crew at Rogers landscaping.
Very cool project!! But unless I'm missing something here, I don't understand that in a building that's 100% based on an 8 foot grid, this mezzanine is suddenly 15' based and not 16'. I believe he said it’s because the client can get 3 carts in a 15’ bay so they gain an extra bay over the entire length.
Let's do the math. No matter the grid of the columns, the upper space can store two rows of 60 carts, that's 120. Racking occurs with load, the infill or snogging connect each joist together. Don't doubt the engineer. Herringbone strut is better
we gotta see this shed filled up with golf carts. especially the loft filled up. please share if possible!
That square body flatbed is siiiiick!!!
wwwoooo,as always beautiful work cowboys with there toys❤blessing
that OBS ford is baller as hell
💯
All I can say is, holy moley! Well done.
Awesome.... Loved this video.
LOL the first time I hooked a tape on a nail was 1960 at 4 years old helping my grandfather building our camp.
Bet u f'd that up too, how cute!! 😅
Couldn't help my self, saw the whole video, great,
It's insane that your customer has managed to pretty much fill that place up this quickly!
That was a great job. Thanks
What kind of saw stand do you guys use for the Milwaukee miter saw? Looks amazing!
How are they going to get the gold cars up onto the mezzanine? Will there be a ramp?
Most likely
Forklift.
Recently saw someone install top mounts, created a jig for using a router to lower them to make them flush with finished surface
Only needed if the surface will be finished.
I do woodworking in my free time and watch here to learn. And yes I just learned the nail and tape measure trick.
How do they plan on getting carts up there? Lift? Or will there be some type of ramp?
Is that Greg's truck? Cool man!
Greg - "brother Euw" 😂
Sweet looking truck btw 👌💯
Not often a cement truck can drive into a building!! 😮
When they pour the concrete floor, will the sturdi-wall brackets and posts just be embedded in the floor?
Keep on slugging boys, the joint pains and arthritic problems are a common!!!
