It's exciting to see a different way of building. I just had my home built and I moved in this past April. It took from July 2023 until April 2024. Plus, we had to go through a winter with the build slowing down. I noticed how clean that truck was before you stated it and I thought exactly what you said about pride of the job & work ethic.
Thanks Mr. Brown I needed this long video keep my mind off of dad. Every week it’s worse. Can’t do anything without help. It’s tough from the wheelchair to help out but sit there and talk. He can barely talk but so raspy. I got surgery on Tuesday. Life is crazy my friend and Jen’s being a saint. Hope u and family a Happy thanksgiving. I’ll text u one day when I can. Thanks again sir.
I am so sorry to hear about your father, I know exactly what you mean when you say "it's tough"… i’m sure your dad really appreciates just having you around.❤
It's always fun to see them go up. Hope you end up putting a small apartment / man cave that way you get tired no walking up to house. Man cave out there so you don't disturb people in the house. Grilling area large tv ect. Lots of hanging for brooms shovels ect shelves that's the fun of building your own you can make it anyway you want.
This project is so amazing and you have made very interesting with all the information you included. Thank you Brad! Hope you, your family and subscribers all have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🦃
It was fun following along. Blake does seem like a good guy and surely knows what he's doing. What amazed me was that it didn't seem to be a huge crew... what was there? Maybe 8 guys and Blake? Regardless, they are an impressive team. Blake's not hard on the eyes either, if this old lady can get away with saying that, haha. As far as what to put in the shop... it looks like you'll have loads of room for some really neat toys, even with your helicopter parked in there. Thanks for sharing, Brad. I'm looking forward to the next one. Heather🇨🇦
Brad, you should build your next house with dad's situation like you're doing your new barn. I think it'll be a pretty cool idea if you ship panels for your next bill as well and please as well. Take my idea. I was giving you about the custom log cabin. Maybe ship panels will be a good idea for a log cabin idea of what I was giving you after you get your barn done. Can't wait till your next house is about. More updates please and thank you
Very nice Brad! I just finished up on my Post Frame man cave (60x120x16) to store my car trailers and classic cars. There are so many decisions to take care of and it takes so much planning which leads to sleepless nights because you're always trying to think two to three steps ahead. Take care bud and don't work too hard!
If TV and movies has tought me anything it's that you would have had that bad boy up in about 3 hours if you'd called in the Amish! lol Seriously though I'm a bit jealous of this thing. As a certain Kazakh television journalist would say, "Very nice!". Looks like the guy delivering the trusses had more problems with traction than solidity. That bit of rain and the top layer turns into an ice-skating rink, especially if you have a bit of clay in it.
WOW Brad...this is a awesome project, thx for the video and the effort you put in, very enjoyable. Wonder what the difference between stick framing compared to the engineered walls? thx brother!!
Are they putting a few skylights in your roof so you don't always need lights in the daytime, or would that not be energy efficient for really hot days or the cold winter ?
Daylight savings have nothing to do with needing lights. It's a little thing that is happening in little over a month from now called the winter solstice, also known as the shortest day of the year. Also Day light savings only happens in the summer months where they move the clock so the sun doesn't rise at 4 in the morning and set a lot later. So if you got rid of daylight savings you still need lights at this time of year.
I've never seen those wall panels outside of foundation (which don't have the OSB and get filled with concrete). Is there structure inside those, or just the foam? Wild! Building tech coming a long way.
Best way you can do the roof would be to completely sheet it, ice and water shield the whole deck, then batton it again with an air gap and lastly use snap lock or real standing seam not that crap ag panel with a million holes in it. Then spray foam the underside of the deck with 6+ inches of closed cell or 4+ closed cell and 6+ open cell. The open will give near the same sound dampening as rock wool. Would have been better if you used some or all attic trusses for extra space or just mechanical space. Dm me if you want a free consult.😂😂😂
I've heard several explanations as to why American buildings are made of wood, but in my mind it doesn't make any sense for a warehouse like this not to be made with cement and bricks or precast concrete after the tornado you had there, and seeing what happened to Flair's warehouse, I wouldn't have the courage to make mine out of wood 😂😂😂 But God bless and nothing happens. Hello from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
That isn't a forklift, brad. They're called telehandlers and they're much more useful than a fork lift, as this video clearly demonstrates. Weird how you were sure to let us know that is called a "forklift". LOL
stupid design, you loose way too much space with those trusses.... here in europe we use steel, and bigger wood just below the roof , have a whole lot of extra space.... a loft in stead of al those thin trusses
How much does all this COST?! I know this is a sensitive topic and I don’t expect you to answer this but DAMN! I think you have spent more money on rock than I have to live my life the last 40 yrs 😂
@@thomastimothy777depends on finishes. Probably almost 100k in concrete another 250k for the structure. And then all the things needed to finish it. I don’t think it’s 2 million. But maybe 1 million from site prep to completion.
That was awesome to watch how the barn is going up!!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
I hope I don't disappoint you with how it turns out!

You can hire LOT OF PEOPLE IF YOU PAY THEM FIVE DOLLARS AN HOUR
Brad is a great example of doing what you have to do while your young will pay off when your older.
Well said! I’ve been telling that to my wife the last couple of years
Wow such a great video! Fun to watch! Ruppie party in the new barn! I'll bring the Mercy girls!
Cool barn build Brad. Looking forward to more. Thanks 4 sharing!🤓

Yes, Brad!!!
👍🏻Congrats Brad!
Gonna be beautiful!
That's really awesome Brad
Thanks
Good video and thank you much. 😊
Wow!! Now THATS a man cave!! 😂 That barn is gonna be hard for @Flair to beat @Brad … lol.. looking great brother!! Stay blessed!!
Looks great Brad. Did I miss the size? Looks big!
That is amazing how fast it can go up. Hope you have a 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃, you and your family.
Thanks so much, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving too!👍

Hey Brad , I like the new style of walls👍.
I hope your dreams come true🌞.
Happy 🦃day🤗.

I hope you didn’t forget the Extra Gravel!
We need longer Vids!!
Love that you refurbish!
I went blown in insulation when I built my shop/garage... R50... the ceiling is NOT a heat leak!
Looks good where the kit from ? 😊

I want to see a basketball hoop in the shop. After all your shots missed in Linden Estates, you need to practice more!

Brad, so how long is the drive way from the gate to the barn??
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family from me and my family brother hope you are all good.
I spy FLAIRS new shop/garage is built.
Not wanting to jinx it or anything but how much stronger will this building be than the one that Andrew is building ?
good rapid fab
Hello, who does all your foundation work? looks like a great job from foundation up!! thanks
might be a good place to park a helicopter ???

lost a lot of roof space with those trusses… was that the trade off to avoid columns?
When is the second show

What is the budget are for the shop? $400k?
Yes! Great guess… I’m hoping to be under that by $35k - $50 K

@@BradtheBuilder what? There is no way! I hear 100 foot in length, what is the depth?
I think he means 350k-365k, he wanted to be under 400k by 35k-50k

Why isn't your greenhouse in full production ?
Seems like a lot of money just for a place to sit by a firepit
what size?
We are not on Daylight Savings time, that ended early November. We are now on normal time like the rest of the world.
no helicopter??
2nd viewer ya me

What do you need a shop for? I’ve never seen you do real work. Always hired out. The few small things you showed were a mess.
well, this is very much like an extended advert. Not so interesting

@ the shop, house, and pond is an easy 2milion in todays world.
Yes stay out of the way, if you could be quiet that would be nice, run the camera. You talk more than a woman.
