Kind of, but some people prefer a specific controller and it's great to see the flexibility that's available via one or two adapters. The flexibility goes further than this too, as Vince has already demonstrated in another video if you have a Mayflash Magic-NS adapter you can use modern controllers from other manufacturer's consoles on the Switch
Well, that adapter for the Wii U pro controller to work on the Switch only costs $25, while a Switch Pro controller costs $70. That sounds like a pretty good option for me since I already own a Wii U Pro controller.

Hi Vince, I have a small question you might be able to answer. My Wii U pro controller has a small offset in the left analog stick. The right analog stick works perfectly. Do you know how I can fix it, because recalibrating it on the switch isn't possible at this moment. I hope you can help out.
Hi, apologies if you have already done this.....Make sure you have the latest firmware installed if you are using something like the Mage NS adapter because from memory when I got it I had both sticks slightly off center but the issue had been addressed in a firmware update and once I updated the adapter via my PC the sticks were perfect. I don't know of any other way to do it :-)
1:59 And people may get confused whether it's the European SNES controller or the Japanese Super Famicom controller because of the colored X,Y,B, and A buttons. They wouldn't even notice it says Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
Joystick is made of hard plastic and wears very easily. 6 face buttons, for some reason, instead of a proper shoulder button layout. There is no comfortable way to hold it that lets you use all the buttons. Only one stick. Yeah
I am so glad that you did this tutorial now I can connect all my old nintendo controllers. But I have a few questions: Can you put the adapters you used in the video description so that we know where we can buy them? That would help me to find the right adapters :) The second thing I wonder about: Can you connect 2 or 3 different controllers at the same time? For example the N64 and the Gamecube Controller?
Does the other Nintendo controllers, like the NES Advantage, Power Pad, Roll & Rocker, Zinger, Zoomer, Gizmo, Ultimate Superstick, Joycard Sansui SSS, The Dominator Master Control, The Dominator PromBeam, Suncom Mother Ship, Bondwell/QuickShot line of Joysticks, Power Glove, LaserScope, the Speedboard, The IMN Game Handler, The IMN Game Handler (Super Nintendo version), asciiPad, Super Advantage, Capcom Fighter Power Stick, Fighter Stick SN, Power Plug, Superpad Controller, PyschoPad K.O., ArcadeShark, AsciiWheel 64 all work on the Nintendo Switch?
Well we can now say that the NES controller can work with the Switch without adapters, unless you're trying to connect every controller with the Switch.
