Not all😂😂 the spf moisturizer is $50…. And they have a new summer collection that’s just lip oil and highlighting blushes. There’s nothing exciting about Fenty anymore.
Flight to quality and a reconsideration of need vs price. So many options at all price levels, but it's important to know what really works for oneself to know which products require a bigger spend sometimes.
Yeah I think that’s it. I respect the brand and think it’s good, but I don’t even bother looking because I know it’s more than I’m willing to pay for makeup. I own one fenty product that I got from TKMaxx, it was half its original price and still a splurge. I think for a while certain types of makeup lovers felt like it was a flex to have spent a small fortune on makeup, but that’s faded a lot and many people don’t have money. I also think many of the 2017-19 makeup lovers have probably gone from teens and/or young adults with a lot of disposable income to *adult* adults who maybe have more responsibilities and less time, who need to budget things over high end beauty products that realistically can be bought much cheaper.
@THEWEIRDOGOTHVAMPYREWITCH Yeah...I have a budget too, but we are not the same. The abuses those two companies perpetrate on labor, resources are not worth the low price. ELF exists for excellent prices without the fast fashion/decor disaster that they leave in their wake.
I think nowadays people think a brand is dying or 'boring' when they launch something and it's not immediately sold out or goes viral instantly. that's not really a sustainable goal to go viral or sell out EVERY time you launch something new. Ofcourse fenty sold out those first years, it's because they where new and it was rihanna! Now I feel like fenty has found it's flow and has established it's place in the beauty world and the need to constantly have the next greatest product isn't the goal anymore. Idk I just hate the way influencers/ people online act like a brand is failing if they don't hit max profits or come out with something new every week. I like it when brands take their time to think out a product and make sure it's good before launching it. It could just be me but when a brand launches something new every week I kind of get overwhelmed about how many choices I have, like with colourpop I get stressed out because they have so many collab launches that I just don't know how to choose and want to buy it all.
That highlighter they talked about not selling out. The minute I saw an influencer try that, it went to the top of my makeup wishlist. I want to contribute to sales I just gotta wait till I have a bit more disposable income 😅
Yeah, this is my thoughts. Did it really flop, or did it just not do the initial buzz numbers? We don't know enough about the behind the scenes to say whether those numbers are actually bad or just... stable. It reminds me of people being surprised that benefit are still around because the Internet doesn't talk about them that much. But benefit must be doing stable numbers, and they have those products that people - and especially those who wear makeup but aren't involved with the online beauty community - come back to again and again. I think being in the community, we kind of have a problem of seeing the forest for the trees. We think because these companies aren't being talked about by creators, aren't having tiktok viral moments, they must be in trouble. But beauty creators are such a small part of the "forest", so to speak.
I have several fenty products that i swear by and i go back to again and again/refill. Its not about selling out and making a buzz its the longevity of it all, fenty is here to stay
exactly, also a lot of brands show how they “sold out in 10 minutes of launch!” meanwhile they only produced like 10 products in the factory so duh😭 fenty feels very secure in their brand and identity
True I love this comment ! just like nars Mac Lancôme este lauder , a lot of their products are always available but people still buy . I agree they found their flow and will always be a staple
As a black woman who is consistently in the transition between medium and deep that a lot of brands jump over and also not being very warm or neutral (sometimes have to add blue color corrector to my foundations), it is hard to find a good match if it even exists in a lot of very popular and "inclusive" brands. One thing I know though is that even if I want to try something from different brands, I will always be able to go back to Fenty to find both quality and foundations that actually work for me in both the winter and summer. I cant say that about all brands. I think Fenty is just going to continue to be a staple that you can always go back to, kind of like how Mac is. That's especially true the darker your skin is.
This part, and also having my winter and summer colors in stock! I literally had to wait 4 weeks for another brand that I was looking for because either they no longer carry my Summer color, or it wasn't available. Had to go with Fenty after all
I agree that the brand will become a staple with its loyal customers. It may not be “edgy” or “viral” but out of all the brands I’m waiting to spend money on now that I’m working full time, Fenty and Rare Beauty are at the top of the list because I’ve never heard anything bad about the projects. Rihanna and Selena are the icing on the top.
I don't think people are bored with Fenty, I think it's just that the brand has been around for 7 years now, the novelty of celebrity makeup/skincare brands has worn off and many of Fenty's products are seen as staples. I think people now think of it as more of a brand for those staples like their foundation. I think people are also just generally tired of makeup brands in general as we've seen in the last few years people are moving away from makeup and going for skincare and fragrance instead. Add to the rising cost of living, and makeup getting more expensive, when people buy makeup now they're more likely to go for drugstore brands rather than more premium brands like Fenty.
Exactly! I buy most of my color makeup on the cheap, but I do invest in a few key products that are higher end. I don’t watch videos about them, I don’t buy related items, I just order as needed over and over. And as long as that product is available in the same formula, I prob won’t try other options. I’m not wasting $40 on tinted moisturizer I might not love, I’ll stick to my fave as long as I can. And creators are incentivized, directly and indirectly, to focus on new things or heavily marketed products.
Yep this is it. I used to exclusively shop at sephora for makeup. It took me feeling the financial strain caused by the recession and inflation to realize that the majority of the makeup I use can be bought at Walmart. And the quality is just as good. Things like eyeliner and mascara are honestly something I would *never* buy high end again. It's a waste of money. The only thing I still have to buy from a more expensive brand is BB cream and eyeshadow
Absolutely!!! 🫶🏽💯 My focus truly shifted from makeup to SKIN CARE when we got put on Lockdown! My makeup collection really isnt a collection any longer 🤗...rather invest what little money I have (Budgeting)into my skin care products...if I see a drugstore product I'm really interested in I will grab it 🤗 (very rare nowadays)
I think Fenti is transitioning from a fad/novelty to a standard, quality, staple brand and there is nothing wrong with that. They are thoughtful with what they release and I think they are planning for the long term (not just what is popular now) and I give her kudos for that.
Especially given some brands manufacture scarcity by intentionally stocking a small amount of product. And/or saying it's limited edition. Fenty's products are staples for most people so they probably don't need to order low and reduce themselves to gimmicks to get sales.
I think her involvement in the brand gave it the boost it needed to get noticed right away, but at the end of the day I think it would've done well just because they have such amazing products.
I think Fenty came in with a punch and Rihanna was a huge part of it’s success. Now that it’s established, I think they just don’t have the hype factor anymore. But I think they have solidified their place in the makeup world and aren’t going anywhere.
@teri2466 that's smart.. I wanna try more Rare beauty things.. but they're only available at Sephora here in my country, and there are like.. 3 sephoras in the whole country lol
I just want lip liners as a start to something new. Been asking for years. In fact, I want lip liners, talc free powdered blushes, reformulated bronzers…Fenty Skin? Makeup remover balm.
No one is bored with Fenty and even though her shade range in phenomanel, she markets to a specific demographic. People of color. A lot of White owned brands focus on eyeshadaows, brow and lip products where most black women focus on skin care, foundation, lip balms and very natural looking skin (Unless it's a special occation) Hense why Rihanna focuses on foundations, skin care and and looking fresh and glowy. I think she puts out products that she knows will be staples in people's collections and that's why she focuses on skin and healhty skin. How many eyeshadow declutters do you see? A lot, but with Foundations people tend to keep because when they find something that works they will keep rebuying. Rihanna knows what she is doing.
That’s an excellent point. She’s very smart in that regard and I think this brand will definitely stick around here in the US and abroad. She knows what she’s doing.
I just go started with her skincare line and it’s amazing. I’ve always wanted to get the makeup but now needed it till now and started trying it which bends in perfectly with my dark skin tone which most label still can’t do right. WOC will always support Fenty which is $$$
I work at Sephora and that is one of the only few brands we sell out occasionally. If its not their Glossbomb, its the skintint. People love those matchsticks.
the cultural significance of fenty beauty will never be understood by people who've always had their shades readily available in stores. for those of us who walked around looking pink and ghostly for the majority of our lives, fenty was a revolution, and is now a staple in makeup brands.
Agree the amount of times I got match in a store and it looked beautiful then I left the store once my face hit the sun my face looked orange, so many times I was too embarrassed to return Fondation because it looked perfect in store 😢
I feel like in a way as well, not only with that par-asocial relationship, the prices for Fenty isn’t something that people can continually afford to pay. I feel like since people are struggling more, they have to go without more including things like makeup. Yet, they still want to support Rihanna, while she hasn’t really given her music career any love which made people fall in love with her.
I agree. Plus what I've noticed that people often refer to "Og" products more often. Not sure if more than other companies but especially with Fenty. I feel it's semi-lux beauty for many, price wise.
Agreed. I think Fenty's inclusivity and success forced some more affordable brands to widen their shade ranges. When people go to repurchase and are on a budget, a lot may have chosen more affordable dupes. I think what they have done for the industry is a greater success than any individual product they will create.
I think it’s important to keep in mind that Rhianna’s “lull” is actually maternity leave. She’s having her kids right now, it’s wonderful that she’s not working full blast. Kids need their moms and or dads esp when little, I don’t like it when successful people leave their kids with nannies like it’s normal to put money and fame first. Let’s support celebs who work less when their little ones need their attention. That said, I can’t afford fenty lol.
Right?! She’s a mom to young kids and still a business woman heavily involved with her businesses (plural!) and acting (she’s voicing Smurfette in the new Smurf movie). Something has to take a backseat and right now that’s music.
I like Fenty, it has such a great range. Also like Haus labs as well. Sometimes the budget asks for good products at a lower price range though, things are difficult at the moment for many.
I hate going to Sephora, I don't wear much makeup (because I suck at doing my make up) but as a dark skinned lady, I 100% agree, Fenty was one of the 1st brands to have my perfect shade, I love the fenty gloss and maybe one day when I'm better at make up I'll try more things. But I only trek into Sephora to get a new Fenty gloss or my Fenty foundation. 🤷🏿♀️
I think what you said about it being Rihanna merch is on point. She’s had two kids and has stepped out of the spotlight, so that’s def impacting her merch sales.
I wholeheartedly believe that Fenty beauty will be just fine. Rhianna is super hands on. I’m positive when Rhianna drops new music or a new album. She will pair that with a new make up launch. We will probably see that particular make up product in a new music video for the new music as well. And Fenty beauty sales will go through the roof.
The eyeliners were my favorite. I had the confidence to try lining my eyes for once. The nerve pain and damage in my hands make it hard to line my eyes and the shape was something I could hold onto! I even dropped the brand a little letter mentioning how much I appreciated the disability friendly design. Got a personal message back. They really care about feedback!
I was drawn to Fenty for Fenty. I was indifferent to Rihanna . I fell in love with her as a result of her Fenty beauty line. I love how invested she is. She doesn’t need a vial anything. How she conducts her business
I think it's a combination of things I think the economy has a lot to do with it people are turning more to drugstore makeup Essentials versus luxury Brands because they can't afford bread and Electric but also like you said they haven't really done anything great last thing she released was a lip balm😴 which circles back to my previous Point nobody's spending $25 on a lip balm right now.
I also love fenty! One of the few brands I'm still always interested to see what they're releasing, even if it's not for me. And the products that I love I really love, and are some of the extremely few things I'll repurchase/get more of.
@@MarieJohanna760 I really want to try the new foundation! Glad it works got you 😍. Was actually just looking at their eye cream yesterday, tempted to get it!
tbh I think this is an overall industry challenge, not something specific to Fenty. Like I love beauty but I’ve definitely been overall less inspired/excited by new products in general over the past year or so.
What?! FENTY / Rihanna can't be matched, she got me excited about makeup . I finally didn't have to buy two shades to match my skin tone. Heads up, she's coming out with the Hydra Vizor Huez. Her skin care line is amazing and sticks by it.❤❤
Celebrity brands as a whole really bore me. They don't offer anything exciting that I can't already get for a HUGE discount at the drugstore compared to their everyday pricing.
Because you're white tho no disrespect, but after Fenty now every brand claimes thier inclusive before it was only Mac and forever. But mac would make me break out
A lot of brands, such as Fenty, are so expensive. We’re in a cost of living crisis, so people might really want these items but simply have to settle for drug store brands (which can also be great) so that surely must impact on how brands sell and when brands decide to launch new products. Maybe they’re recognising that people are settling for the basics just now, with the odd luxury now and then.
I think of her music, yes- it seems as though Fenty receives most of her attention- but right now, she's attempting to do new music. I do absolutely love their products- but I have to wonder, how much more "progress," can one brand make?
Love love love the Beautiful and Bothered plug. The friendship you 3 have is wonderful. So nice to see you guys supporting each other, because I'm a fan of both channels I see B&B mentions you too. It's got the feel good vibes! 🥰
the Fenty Beauty x Mischief MAKEUP OR KETCHUP collab really put a bad taste in my mouth bc Fenty was also promoting itself as eco-friendly specially with their refillable lipstick and that Mischief collab threw that away, it was sO wasteful the HUGE red box for like 6 tiny ketchup/gloss bags which were basically unusable. Made no sense at i was like 30 euros too! waste of money, waste of material, complete waste of time
As long as Fenty keeps making that contour stick in Amber Suede, they will ALWAYS be a part of my makeup routine. But I totally agree in the sense that they don’t have much of an online presence anymore and they’re definitely not shoving new products down our throats every week. I really appreciate that though because I’ll admit, I’m so over brands that are completely, 💯 relying on paying these influencers and sending them on these lavish trips to overly hype up every single product they come out with, regardless of whether or not it’s a good, solid product. I think while Fenty, like every other brand in 2024, definitely does their fair share of sending out PR to influencers and all that, they don’t seem to have a problem with allowing their products to speak for themselves.
i remember when fenty launched, i literally went to the mall before it opened to get products. i never did that with makeup before, and still haven't!! like yes, rhianna was a huge part of my interest but the inclusivity of the foundation shade range was what sold me. at the time i was shopping exclusively cruelty-free so mac and nars weren't options i went for, plus the undertones just weren't as good for my (extremely lol) pale skin. it felt so good to find a shade, and have shades wayyy too light for me, and to know that people with deeper skin tones were FINALLY being represented. it's hard to replicate that feeling. even though i don't buy fenty a lot anymore since i don't wear foundation much and ever since covid my love for liquid lipsticks hasn't been the same (plus cheaper alternatives for other staples like mascara), i still have a lot of love and respect for it. i don't think fenty will go out of business because riri isn't releasing music/revolutionizing things, despite the "meh" feelings a lot of people have expressed.
@@tammystiletto I haven't yet! I have super sensitive eczema prone skin so I haven't been using hardly any foundation lately because it irritates my skin so much 😭 I wish I could try like a tiny sample for like a week before I commit to a whole bottle
I still remember the day it launched. I remember that I could feel joy spreading in my body when I saw that range, even if it sounds silly 😅 It's a bit expensive for me because I would have to order from another country, but I was so happy that they had such a influence on the industry and seeing so many people cheering and happy was really great 🎉😍
You're so honest and so relatable...those attributes seem to be in short supply amongst the beauty community! Thank you for all you do!! When you called her Half Time Show a "Midway Performance," I choked on my smoothie bc I was laughing so hard!! 🤣🏈🎵 Love you Robert!! 🫶🏻💯😻💄
NOOO!!! Ive just found my FAVE foundation after the OG MAC prolongwear foundation from 2012 got discontinued! I worked at MAC a year and a half. I could do my makeup at 6AM. Go work 100% in a flowershop then 30% at MAC. SO I removed my makeup after 10:30-11 PM. I havent found something until now. The new Soft'lit naturaly radient foundation. My skin looks SO good now! Fenty cant be going downwords! Ive struggeled for years to find a true hero foundation for me! Im so pale pink skinned! Between Fenty 110 and 150. I only use the Amber matchstick too for countour.
My two favorite makeup brands are Fenty and Haus Labs, and I think part of the reason they're so good is because the spokespeople know how important it is to have lasting makeup. We don't all have to be Colour Pop 😂
4:50 and 4:57 this is so true. FENTY has transcended the "celebrity makeup line" label that other celeb beauty ventures, such as REM beauty and Kylie Cosmetics, have yet to reach (although it is very debatable whether they will even reach that height anyway).
i only buy fenty for so many things. as black woman with a medium deep skin tone with golden undertones, it has always been hard to find products before fenty. almost all my base products are fenty. i liked rhianna before then but now i truly admire her. i think late stage capitalism has people thinking brands need to release weekly. i think her brand is in it for the long haul.
I think you're absolutely spot on with this video and Fenty but I love make up and Fenty is one of the best brands out there and will continue supporting until the wheels fall off. great video as always ✨
I bought Fenty foundation because it looked good on my skin. I didn’t actually know who owned it! After they discontinued my foundation, I went to another brand. Now that they have brought back a similar foundation to what I initially liked, I am not moving back to the Brand because I’ve moved on. It literally has nothing to do with who owns what brand.
Fenty has wonderful staples of products, but I feel like the Fenty brand might be getting hit by the same judgement that Savage X Fenty holds due to the fast fashion practices… I feel like I had so much confidence in Rihanna’s involvement and advocacy- with both of her brands, especially as a plus size woman- but I’d be lying if I said that the SavageX reputation didn’t impact and make me question my views on Fenty overall :(
@@sagwa18I think they would have been a lot better off not being a subscription. I myself decided to not buy bc of then subscription factor even though I liked what I saw
@@sagwa18there was an investigation done a while back that scored brands based on working conditions, environmentalism, basically just their impact on their employees and the environment, and savage x scored lower than SHEIN. It’s worth noting, however, the score was out of 100 and not a single brand on the list broke 50.
I havent been excited about any Fenty drops since the Skin Tint in 2021. Plus too many controversies for me to keep givinf my money to. Im over it but I dont think the rest of the girlies are. Fenty will be ok.
@@sagwa18 I'm not sure if they have changed it or not but the mica they were sourcing was unethical/sourced from child labor. I can't get down with that especially since it's suppose to be cruelty free. Cruelty free should not test on animal AND not use child labor. Not so much a controversy, but for me personally it doesn't sit right with me that she has a history of dating colorists. And finally her co-owners (LVMH) support Israel.
I honestly think the sale numbers are not as desirable because they are perhaps being compared to the "golden age of make up"? That boom we had between 2015-2019, were everyone and their mother were establishing a make up company and/or a brand and we had this new found online culture around it? yeah, that's not coming back. People are much more conscious now about consumerism and honestly, the novelty wore off to the majority of the population. Shareholders should get a grip lol
i'm a 45 years old white woman and i don't necessarily listen to Rihanna's music but I always go to her brand for inclusivity and the products are fantastic. trust me: the brand goes beyond just the music fans --
The downfall might also be because people are realising that her business practices are unethical (Savage x Fenty)? A filthy rich person getting even richer through sweatshop labour and payment models that are legally grey and put customers into debt even though they only bought one item and didn't expect to have $$$ taken out of their account every month with no option to cancel. That's just unhinged, not admirable and definitely NOT inclusive, no matter what kind of fashion show she puts on.
It’s very clear how the subscription works and I don’t think it’s any brand’s fault customers don’t pay attention. It’s not even fine print, like it’s right there. If someone doesn’t read and then never notices $60 coming out of their account monthly they should simply care about their money more (especially if $60/month is enough to put them in debt!).
@@PiXie232 No I didn't have this problem, I didn't purchase for that reason, but it's not a normal business model to have nevertheless. I'm also not ok with the production model, so that's my opinion.
This video is about Fenty beauty ... Savage x fenty was created by rihanna but she is not the ceo of this brand any longer and has not been for a while
I love your videos. They are so informative, and always learn something new. Whether it's about the background on brands or tips and tricks on makeup application.
I think just because something isn’t doing “as well” doesn’t mean it’s doing bad….like Rihanna is fine. People can also just do things because they want to and it makes them happy 🤷♀️ This icy makeup look is 💅
I’ll admit I passed over Fenty the last three times I went to buy from them (online and in store) because they were sold out of the shade of the product I needed each time I was looking. So I’d find an alternative. I do really hope the out of stock products are because popularity and not because of brand production issues. It’s a makeup line that deserves to stick around.
I really feel the craziness of buying everything as soon as it comes out has calmed down. I think we’re going back to pre 2016 and we’re focussing on quality not quantity. Think of the style trends for makeup it’s been more paired down, more neutral not as heavy. So the desire for every single colour of eyeshadow and the search for the heaviest base products has lessened. I myself have seen this change in my own spending habits. I want the best. I want a different look. I’ve only purchased eyeshadow palettes from Pat McGrath in the last 2 years. I find them the best and I don’t need 1000 shades anymore.
As an MUA the inclusivity of the shade range is actually lacking. There are zero pink undertoned foundations. It’s frustrating to my clients because we then have move to other brands that may have a better foundation range but not a concealer range. The fenty foundations are different undertones of yellow, gold, and olive. Zero pink. And for my rosy complected clients it’s unmatchable. I think it’s due for a reformulation on the “cool” shades. 😉 would love love to see that!
@@hotpinkcrayolas lol. It’s fine for warm or some olive under toned skin but if you have any pink in your undertone it’s not the best. I think Haus Labs did a better job with their undertones with their reformulation. But I do applaud Fenty for leading the way. 😉
This makes sense. I’m a medium dark skin olive and can find foundations for winter/summer but most brands once they get to just before my depth, they stop making olive shades (if they have any at all anyway) as if darker skin people are only warm, cool, or neutral. It’s hard to find a good match even in the “inclusive” brand’s without adding blue color corrector to my foundation. If they don’t make good pinks I can understand that frustration when you’re just trying to find a good match.
As a black woman, I'll never lose interest in this brand. It is one of the very few brands where all around the world you can find shades for darker skinned women. I live in Lisbon, and every time I walk into a sephora, the only brand that has the range of shades that darker skinned women need is Fenty. Other brands are there also but are maybe way more expensive or the range is quite limited. We have some MAC stores as well but those are few and far between in town. I also know of black women who live in countries like South Korea where dark shades are nonexistent but because Fenty sells there, they are able to find their shade. The only downside, however, that keeps me from purchasing at the moment is indeed the prices and the current economic situation. If it wasn't for that I'd buy a lot more from Fenty, it's the first make up brand that I research when looking for products but sadly I find I'm unable to afford it at the moment so I go for the drugstore brands.
I think you just described Nikkie Tutorials perfectly. Builds a huge following of loyal fans on YT, drops a makeup line that they all run to buy to support her, and then she disappears completely only to pop up every once in a while. Feels super disrespectful to the fans
Weird. Did people not get the product they expected? It's on you if you buy things just to support a parasocial relationship. They're not your friends. Buy stuff you want. Don't buy things only to "support" a celebrity/influincer. That's absurd. If you believe in the product and got what you were promised then you got what you paid for. You don't owe anyone anything more than some polite gratitude if they bought your stuff.
@ZZ-qy5mv as someone who doesn't support influencer brands, I largely agree with you. My issue with Nikkie Tutorials is that she spent years on YT, gaining followers (or would be customers) and being one of the few influencers to actually stick to their once a week posting schedule, only to completely ditch YT knowing full well that's where her audience is and why she even has a successful brand just feels wrong. Maybe she doesn't owe them anything other than polite gratitude as you say, but maybe she owes them the success of her entire brand and career?
Something weird about Fenty is how litigious the brand is. I know of several influencers who don’t talk about Fenty anymore because they’ve received cease and desist letters from them in the past. That might have something to do with it 😬
LOL. Me and mine are still wicked hyped over every Fenty drop. The hydrating foundation was huge a couple weeks ago, and the tinted SPF is everywhere! Good video. I clicked...but I wouldn't say the hype has died or nobody cares. Not at all!
Outside the US Fenty is as famous as ever. Here in the Middle East women are still obsessed with them. I’ve never entered a Sephora and saw Fenty empty. They always have a group of women there, even if the store is empty.
@asli9812 We don't. Some of us are dark, too. North Africans are technically considered Arabs and a lot of them are dark. We love them like brothers and sisters.
Fenty beauty in my personal opinion has completely changed the beauty game! Especially in regards to shade ranges as well….I’m looking at you youthforia 🙄
This was filmed before they announced they were releasing their new tinted moisturiser!? Is this enough to create excitement around the brand again???
Yes, I will buy the summer collection ❤
They have a New Highlighter also :) Im really excited to see if it increase my texture
They also just announced a summer bronze collection
They have a new foundation that is amaazing
Not all😂😂 the spf moisturizer is $50…. And they have a new summer collection that’s just lip oil and highlighting blushes. There’s nothing exciting about Fenty anymore.
I think Fenty is fine, I just think since we don’t have a lot of money… they are looking for the best quality for their budgets
Flight to quality and a reconsideration of need vs price. So many options at all price levels, but it's important to know what really works for oneself to know which products require a bigger spend sometimes.

Agreed.
This part, and also having my winter and summer colors in stock! I literally had to wait 4 weeks for another brand that I was looking for because either they no longer carry my Summer color, or it wasn't available. Had to go with Fenty after all
Yes! I’m palest of pale with redness and they’re the only foundation I’ve been able to consistently use as their lightest color.
@@nightgoddess9 Absolutely, I fully agree. I go to both brands for something specific and know I’ll get good quality regardless.
Fenty is gonna be fine. Not selling out on launch day doesn't mean a product flopped.
Especially given some brands manufacture scarcity by intentionally stocking a small amount of product. And/or saying it's limited edition. Fenty's products are staples for most people so they probably don't need to order low and reduce themselves to gimmicks to get sales.
Just means this time around they decided not to use momanger kardashian tricks imo 🙄
Fenty & Rare Beauty are my faves. I want them both to be around a long time. Their products are good and I do trust them.
Same here.
Love them both and they're all I need.👍
But so expensive

I just want lip liners as a start to something new. Been asking for years. In fact, I want lip liners, talc free powdered blushes, reformulated bronzers…Fenty Skin? Makeup remover balm.
Yes lip liners especially with them being known for there lip products. It's been over due
@@Luvagirl010 wayyy overdue !
Lip liners!!! Talc free blush as well totally agree!!
@Luvagirl010 They're known for their glosses but their liquid lipsticks are notoriously not good
What is wrong with their bronzers???
WOC will always support Fenty which is $$$
Well Said
yea and at this point i don’t think she even needs the virality on social media bc her quality products have already spoken for themselves
This is very true
Yet, they still want to support Rihanna, while she hasn’t really given her music career any love which made people fall in love with her.
yes agreed. the reason i’ve never tried the brand is because of the prices. if i dislike a product ive wasted a ton of money ☹️
exactly!! this
They have a sale right now which is pretty affordable currently! their famous powder is $10-12 (mini) & $20 for the reg size
Robert and James are my comfort person 😂😂
😂
As someone who resells makeup products Fenty has been one of my best sellers but it has slowed down compared to other brands I sell
If you don't mind saying, what's selling best at the moment?

You hit the nail on the head! I didn't even realize my parasocial relationship with Rhianna and Fenty, but it makes sense now. Thanks for the insight!
What?! FENTY / Rihanna can't be matched, she got me excited about makeup . I finally didn't have to buy two shades to match my skin tone.
Heads up, she's coming out with the Hydra Vizor Huez. Her skin care line is amazing and sticks by it.❤❤
You and your brother are definitely my comfort people. I'm grateful that you guys make me laugh when I need an escape.

Omg I love you’re eyeshadow look 🥹🤌😍
Thank you!! It’s the colourpop Pokemon palette!! 😛🖤🖤
"midway performance?? " 😭😭😭😭😭 never change robert!!!🤣
Within 30 seconds?? I keep catching these fresh out the oven 🤩👏😆
i remember when fenty launched, i literally went to the mall before it opened to get products. i never did that with makeup before, and still haven't!! like yes, rhianna was a huge part of my interest but the inclusivity of the foundation shade range was what sold me. at the time i was shopping exclusively cruelty-free so mac and nars weren't options i went for, plus the undertones just weren't as good for my (extremely lol) pale skin. it felt so good to find a shade, and have shades wayyy too light for me, and to know that people with deeper skin tones were FINALLY being represented. it's hard to replicate that feeling. even though i don't buy fenty a lot anymore since i don't wear foundation much and ever since covid my love for liquid lipsticks hasn't been the same (plus cheaper alternatives for other staples like mascara), i still have a lot of love and respect for it. i don't think fenty will go out of business because riri isn't releasing music/revolutionizing things, despite the "meh" feelings a lot of people have expressed.
I was always so sad that my skin didn't like Fenty concealer or foundation 😭 Because this was always a brand I wanted to support
Same here, I did not like the foundation it was thick and cakey....

"I would buy Rihanna bedsheets" 😂 Me too, Robert, me too.
It literally has nothing to do with who owns what brand.
tbh i think it depends on people. people within my generation (generation - .z) are more aware of celebrities brands and know the face of a brand.
This eye look is so stunning 😍 would love an old school TH-cam tutorial
Fenty has wonderful staples of products, but I feel like the Fenty brand might be getting hit by the same judgement that Savage X Fenty holds due to the fast fashion practices… I feel like I had so much confidence in Rihanna’s involvement and advocacy- with both of her brands, especially as a plus size woman- but I’d be lying if I said that the SavageX reputation didn’t impact and make me question my views on Fenty overall :(

Hi. Your eye make up is extra lovely today. Just thought I'd say so. :)

Have nothing of Fenty so far, but once I would like to try their Fat water.
Love the fat water!
I want to see how you created your eyeshadow look in this video. Love it!
I take it you had this problem? You didn’t read the clearly written subscription agreement? That’s on you.. not Fenty
@@PiXie232 No I didn't have this problem, I didn't purchase for that reason, but it's not a normal business model to have nevertheless. I'm also not ok with the production model, so that's my opinion.

I think just because something isn’t doing “as well” doesn’t mean it’s doing bad….like Rihanna is fine. People can also just do things because they want to and it makes them happy 🤷♀️
This icy makeup look is 💅
I’ll admit I passed over Fenty the last three times I went to buy from them (online and in store) because they were sold out of the shade of the product I needed each time I was looking. So I’d find an alternative.
I do really hope the out of stock products are because popularity and not because of brand production issues. It’s a makeup line that deserves to stick around.
Isn't this what happend to Emma Chamberlain when she left youtube, and then she had to come back with a podcast just to keep up the parastatus? 🤔
Well that makes me feel better about never trying their foundations then 😂 x
If they don’t make good pinks I can understand that frustration when you’re just trying to find a good match.
whatever the future of fonts may be: YOU are a make-up GURU and flawless artist!!!!
I love this eye look parasocial bestie!
I'm glad that we have this rhetoric to push what make-up can be.
I'm also here to comment on how gorgeous your eye look is in this.
Something weird about Fenty is how litigious the brand is. I know of several influencers who don’t talk about Fenty anymore because they’ve received cease and desist letters from them in the past. That might have something to do with it 😬
What were they saying to have that happen?
You just made that up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought y’all hated black people? 🤔
@asli9812 We don't. Some of us are dark, too. North Africans are technically considered Arabs and a lot of them are dark. We love them like brothers and sisters.
I love this brand! The stunnawear uncensored is the most perfect shade of red. ❤💋💋💋💋
Fenty beauty in my personal opinion has completely changed the beauty game! Especially in regards to shade ranges as well….I’m looking at you youthforia 🙄
I don’t pay much attention to new releases, but the loose powder, trophy wife, and gloss bomb have been staples in my collection since they came out.

Oh my god this green eye look is EVERYTHING!
