The Vintage Revival Montlhéry 2024 once again offered an impressive display of displacement giants and record-breaking cars from the pre-war era: there was, for example, the “Beast of Turin”, a 28.4 liter Fiat S76, the 25.4 liter Darracq 1905 200 hp V8 Special, which set the land speed record in the same year, the Napier Railton from 1933 with a 24 liter W12 engine, which set 47 speed records in Brooklands (U. K.), or the 9 liter Renault 40 CV “des Records” from 1926 and the Renault Nervasport “des Records” from 1934, which set 3 world records, to name but a few.
