45 years ago, I worked in a building in Johnstown, PA that had tire tread prints embossed in the linoleum flooring in the front office area. An older man from the neighborhood told us that the building was a Diamond T truck dealership back in the old days and the front part of the building was the showroom. The heavy trucks pressed the tire prints into the linoleum flooring.
I was born in Johnstown when you were working in that building. My Grandparents lived in Geistown right near Busy Beaver. There was a Bell telephone company building across the street from their house.
@@Biokemist-o3k It's a small world. My first apartment in Johnstown was in Geistown, on Lamberd Ave. It was only a short distance from Busy Beaver Lumber.
In better shape than I thought, a full restore is what it deserves, I hope you find a buyer who thinks so too.
I like the detail of the Diamond T logo cut into the frame rail cross brace at the rear.
This is a beautiful truck. I grew up in farm country in the Northeast and saw lots of these and similar trucks on the roads back then.
What I love about your channel is that the vehicles are recovered and restored to a condition that a person could buy it and be confident that vehicle will be useful for a long time
👍👍
You gotta love the 2-tone red/green 'paint' job on that truck. Looks like a great project.
Ben in my opinion that is a beautiful truck as old as it is with the history and story behind it is truly amazing
That Daimond T is in good shape for its age and being stored outside!
If done right, that culd be a cool truck, great rescue
My second truck was newer than the first one... first was a 36 chevy ton an a half.... which todays three quarter ton truck, is bigger I would believe, the older though being longer and then the second truck was a KB S 6. Red diamond engine, 5 and a two speed axle. The year I am foggy on as I remember the title saying 42 in the year box but I got tags on it as a 46. I was lucky in a card game one night and won a mack, it was the B 51 model.. shortly after that truck came viet nam..... and came home spring of 70 where I got myself the narrow nose Pete... it also was a seventy model with a whopping big 220 cummins, and a five and four transmission... now there was a days work!
Diamond T ! One of the Coolest trucks ever built!
Hey I used to work at least Schwab! I managed the truck tire warehouse and the truck slab changing all the semi and tractor and heavy equipment tires and breaks👍
Your Dog (your kid) isn't "Crazy" or "Nuts"...
She just wants to be with her Daddy❤️
Love your Channel Brother! Thank you Casey for your videos too !
love the bifurcated windshield, with the awesome rake angle...a great looking truck..
I have only just heard of the Diamond T Truck & yeah....They are beautiful.
Thank you for sharing & I love your dog by the way. 😁
Happy New Year from Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire in England...!
Awesome truck. Love me a Diamond T!
I have a heeler and he's the same. Absolutely the most loyal, smart, protective, loving little man, everrrr. Never seen such a CRAZY and energetic little soul, except the group home kiddos I work with! 😆🤣❤️
Your dog is a working dog, a sheep herder. She anticipates every move or sound you make for instructions to do her job, but there are never any sheep...just trucks.
Excellent save, thanks for showing us, all the best to yous and your loved ones
I like what you are doing saveing these old trucks
Thank you
Really love that old truck and the other one that was in the barn also
man that diamnd is gorgeous, would be a sweet rig to have
I think it's a good thing rescue a long forgotten Dimond t it will be neat if you got it running
That beautiful rusty relic needs to be a shop truck
I love how they look like there roof if chopped right from the factory
I’ve got a 64 scout with original title…. Well, selling it to my brother. But ya. Fortunately Montana has a process to be able to keep that title in tact.
Merlins Old School Garage this would be right up his alley!
What sweet lines that truck has
Nice looking truck. Thanks for the video
Try CLR and a scotch pad, works great
Paul from Fab rats will love this, think he wants to build a roll back wit aan old truck cab.
Yes Paul needs that truck
I'm one of your first subscribers. Like I don't even think you had 100 yet so it was pretty cool to see ya get a shout out from puddins fab shop. That's pretty cool man👍
What video dud he shout me out in ?
VERY, VERY COOL!!
Completely surprised me that none of the wheels were locked up...by chance what is the mileage on it?
That Beautiful truck needs a travel trailer put on the back frame. Make a neat RV
Lucy doggy is so adorable!
I have two of those Massey 35’s. One gas and one diesel.
Love how smart those Border Collies are. They have to have real work though.
We have Dutch Brothers in Amarillo and Lubbock Texas.
Wow cool !
Best staying original all round
Awesome!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
I'm looking for a 58, 59 or 60 international body to rebody my grandmother's 58 A110...I'm in southern Oregon.
Nice Roadkill sweatshirt
Super awesome 👌
I enjoy your videos. In my state you must have four separate tie downs for a vehicle on a trailer. Each independent. Just saying.
My state has these black and white speed limit signs all over
The logger I worked for in the late 60's had a Diamond Reo that I drove sometimes. Looked a lot like the T, is there a connection?
Yes - Diamond T and REO were both bought out by White Motors and merged. The Diamond T production was moved from Chicago to Lansing MI where REO was.
🍻
A very calm border collie you should see mine
that is one awesome truck .
I love that dog!!!
Cool
Your dog is smart!
Great channel my friend. Where are you located? I have been looking for a truck like the one in this video. However I was run over on my 1957 Harley and am still recovering and am able to walk finally. I hope too be able to be working and be able to afford a Diamond Reo or something to make as my daily driver pickup.

One thing it ain't is a pickup truck! lt would look great as a stake side truck!
Awesome 👍
Are the log bunks an log trailer still around that came with the truck?
She isn’t nuts, she is a good girl just likes to ride with you is all…..well maybe she just wants her pup cup, you decide. So what size and brand are the engines in those diamonds? And straight eight? Or straight six? And what was the difference from the diamond t s and the diamond reos
That is a gangster looking rig. Hope the roof can be repaired?
Already fixed it 🙌
@@406garage3 Should have known.
Awesome truck!!! What engine does it have?
Should have a Hercules flathead 6. I'm not certain which model.
you need to let Paul form @Fabrats know about that truck it would be a great rollback
I'm sure Paul knows we both follow eachother.
@@406garage3 i think theres one in jersey city, sits on the lot of mecca trucking 13th and provost streets
Modern chassis under there would be great.
They used white oak on the old rims!
Nice fid Ben!
Montana
Sure the old girl doesn't have AC, but I think you have the wrong truck on the trailer.
What is the "Comet" wash?
Go back through the older video’s. You’ll find an explanation there. Take care.
Did I see you over on Merlin channel ?
Nope , I know him, but never been on his channel
Likely beech, not oak.
Love Dutch Bros, but BLACK coffee. Thats it. You can have your fru fru shit. sorry Ben, that just gross. Todd the retired trucker.
