- Not a "don't touch me" show truck but a real working truck doing what a Diamond T was made for. It is a 1949 Model 201 one ton rated pickup that will haul two tons without breaking a sweat. It is powered by a 91-horsepower, 236-ci Hercules L-head QX-series 6-cylinder engine with at Warner T-9 four speed transmission and Clark axles. The Model 201 was produced from 1938 to 1949. I've owned this truck for 44 years and it has been worked for many of those years.

Super! Someone please rescue the Diamond T pickup truck sitting in the campground at Rockmart, Georgia, USA. It has the original engine. A pity to see the truck just sitting in a field.

Rustburg Virginia has old Diamond T firetruck still use in parades and such was in use in 70s when I went to school there

Dad had a '49 Dodge 1 ton with a 9' box - your dash looks like I remember the Dodge looking. We put a new oak floor in it 1960's. This video evoked a lot of memories about that old truck!

Where did you find this truck or has it simply been in the family for a long time?
I've had it for 50 years. Before that it came from Montana.

My Model T is in the garage. A few videos on my YT channel.
Painted Red…stripe was white
The wider stripe was green and pin striping was white originally. The pin striping was painted over but can still be seen under the red paint that the previous owner painted 50 years ago.
Change oil, tires, brakes and maybe a head gasket every 3rd decade. Repeat.
