Seeing Austin geek over all the Pokemon and GameBoy stuff was so wholesome. Everyone was just so happy and enjoying themselves. Truly made me feel like a kid and I had a big smile on my face for a large part of this video. This was one of my favorite Mystery Tech episodes ever.
So happy to see Austin happy. Pokemon gaming hardware brought me to his channel very long ago and I have been an avid viewer since. Seeing him geek out in Pokemon every once in a while really kinda puts me on a bit of a nostalgia trip too. LOL
I love how he says he feels like a loser after getting costume of ash and getting a pop figure. Then proceeded to geek out over the game boy and like this is dope
To clarify, the paper used for GB printer does expire. It's the same type of paper found in grocery stores to print your receipts. You can find rolls that fit the gameboy printer at office stores, but they won't be stickers.
Don't fret about the receipt paper (pokemon printer paper), go to a local photocopier/POS sales shop and get a bunch more. (just take the dimensions of one unused roll and they'll help you out).
The gameboy printer probably prints on thermal paper, which goes bad after even a year. So 20 year old thermal paper, the fact anything shows up at all is amazing.
The TCG game was surprisingly fun. All the Pokemon games with accessories are insane $$$ now CIB. Even Heartgold/Soulsilver to a degree. If it was sealed I couldnt imagine. Omg the end. Gameboy modding is a deep and very fun rabbit hole!!!!
So glad im a (early) 90s baby as soon as Austin said " you know what song im playing" it was already playing in my head...Baha Men was a one hit wonder 😂 Also Cubone is awesome kind of messed up origins you know wearing his moms skull and all
This brings back major nostalgia. I had all this stuff as a kid. I wore the printer out printing out Pokemon stats and the art from my pokemon yellow. Good times
The Pokemon TCG GB game is one of my favorites, and it's also just hilarious... "Because the Americans didn't understand how to play the TCG that we sold them based on the game/anime that we sold them, we made this GB game that's based on the TCG to teach them how to play the TCG based on the game/anime."
Those Game Boy Printers are working fine! It'll just be the thermal paper that's expired. It'll be the same with all new-old stock. But all you need is some 38x30mm till roll, and you'll be good to go!
I love that apple finally puts an easily removeable battery in a product... but its the one item I would rather people couldn't easily remove the battery
The Gameboy Printer uses thermal paper, the same kind that you will find in receipt printers. The only difference is that what you find at Office Depot will not have an adhesive backing. THAT SAID - a lot of labels also use thermal paper and have an adhesive backing... so if you feel like having to reload the printer after every picture you could probably get away with using cut down UPS labels.
Fun Fact, they made a Sequel for The PTCG on the game boy color that they never released in the west. It actually improves upon the first in every way.
Put the air tag in your luggage! I flew from Midland Texas, to Dallas, and to PA. The air line told me they could not find my luggage. Thankfully I had a product that was similar to the air tag, and I found my luggage in the airport I was at. I showed the the app and they were able to find my luggage. If you fly a lot I highly recommend that product!
I’m not crying 😭 nicest people ever I swear thank you so much!

So happy to see Austin happy. Pokemon gaming hardware brought me to his channel very long ago and I have been an avid viewer since. Seeing him geek out in Pokemon every once in a while really kinda puts me on a bit of a nostalgia trip too. LOL
This was such a wholesome episode. It's not easy to make a guy that has literally any tech he wants get this excited.
I need that air tag for my remote.... these tiny ass ROKU tv remotes....
seeing Uncle Austin, Ken, and Matt just being so happy about all of the Pokemon items (and the Z Flip) makes me so happy :D
When you live that Pokemon life so hard you become a meme....then you love the memes....respect the hustle!

"I feel like a huge nerd wearing this costume surrounded by mega pop figures..."
Proceeds to nerd out over the Pokemon TCG Gameboy game 😂

The "Hey guys, this is Austin" makes me feels as good as "Hey all, Scott here"
Hey all scott here!
Scott the Wazz? I forgot the second word lol
Love it when Scott says that
I always thought is was hey y’all
Hey all Austin here
Honestly this was nice to watch I've literally never seen Austin this happy lol
now that Austin is happy Ken knows what he must do. i cant wait to see next mystery tech.

From what I've experienced, the GB Printer paper deteriorates over time.
That custom DMG is incredible.
16:19 He had me in the first half, not gonna lie
I had to write my note like that😂
Don't think I've seen Austin more happy on mystery tech. I'm happy for that guy
"there's only one song we can listen to" absolutely perfect
Austin was a real kid in this episode that was very nice to watch. It made me smile a lot. :-)
I love how he says he feels like a loser after getting costume of ash and getting a pop figure. Then proceeded to geek out over the game boy and like this is dope
This episode felt like an infomercial: “But wait, there’s more!”
But it was so nice seeing Austin so giddy.
this episode made me happy in a nostalgic sense.

I’m always excited to see these videos when they spend a lot of money on tech !

Robo raptor is like a baby. Never give him up. Never let him down. He is too precious for this world
Holy Canoli.... the nostalgia levels of this episode are through the roof. I haven't seen a complete set in almost 2 decades.

Love your vids man. Keep up the great work.
Austin Evans is the best Roboraptor Dad. He got that dad reflex when it started walking off the table.
Who let the dogs out came out in the year 2000. I can’t believe that was 21 years ago, I feel old now.
The gameboy printer probably prints on thermal paper, which goes bad after even a year. So 20 year old thermal paper, the fact anything shows up at all is amazing.

I love thinking about how anything he buys as long as he puts it in a video can be a tax write-off because it would technically is a business expense
Austin : catches roborapter from falling

This video gives 1 year of life every time you see it. This is so wholesome
I love how if you click on the link to Jake Simmons, it says "Check out PSReady!"
So much good stuff from back then. Every package thrown at Austin reminds me of my bittersweet childhood :,)
I almost cried :D
If my friends had a TH-cam channel and actually knew anything about tech, it would be this. And I love it.
Austin got them dad reflexes when Roboraptor tried to fall off the table.

"back in the 90's this was so cool..."
Its still cool, enough to make a grown man cry.
11:08 that laugh tho😂😂
Matt is definitely a guy I want a beer with. No joke
This was the perfect episode for something like Austin’s birthday because it looked to be the happiest episode so far. Lol.

ken is like the big brother who gives everything to austin, with Austin's money to make him look rad
