Do you have a link to your actual woodworking business that is profitable/successful rather than links to courses where you tell us how to be profitable/successful at it? Before I invest in you as a coach I’d be able to learn a lot more about whether you are for me by checking out the business you made your $$$$$ with to begin with. Kinda like if someone has a course on teaching me how to be a writer I’ll first read some books they’ve written apart from merely the ones that tell me how to write better. That’ll let me know if they are actually successful writers in the first place. Currently a qualified cabinetmaker for a rediculously high end company. I do not want to be. The amount they make off of me is insane, 300 grand kitchens, 50 grand bedrooms and I get paid less than 2% of that to make them. I could make 1 kitchen per year for myself and undercut their prices by 50% and still be earning double my current wage. Barrier to entry is workshop space and getting customers.
@@zacharymonty6418 I've asked many times for increased pay, but even the most senior staff get paid a comparatively shitty wage. Hourly rates in my profession are terrible all over my country so its not even like I can go elsewhere for much of an increase. I'm already saving towards starting my business, its the only way to make serious cash in this line of work!
I have an oversized 1car garage and I’m zeroing in on the last machines needed to have my own thing but having your own thing takes time and up to 5yrs to pay yourself full time.

Tell them your concerns and ask for 5%. Start a savings account for your shop
