James Gentry Dale Jr. did say it at 8:06 and I'm pretty sure he would know better than anyone what his Dad would think/say about J.J.'s win/championship.
Justin Moore I don't feel bad for Joe Gibbs Racing because Joe Gibbs was a former red skins coach in NFL also I'm a Carolina Panthers Fan, Yep I absolutely HATE Red Skins and Joe Gibbs.
That line from Jeff, "You can't stop at 7!" hurts so much. But even then, I'll never forget this race. What a way to get your last championship... 43rd to 1st. Only one of the all-time greats could do that.
Edwards may have just became my favorite driver with how he handled this. Truly a good dude. Not too many of those in Nascar, if we go by the radio. And congrats to Johnson.
I gotta admit, this made me want to tear up. I'm not a huge fan of Jimmie but that was absolutely fantastic. Congratulations #48! And Tony Stewart, thank you. We'll miss you.
Really, if you don't like Carl, then I don't know who you are, because Carl is a really kind guy, and he rarely does anything rude towards others. Carl is one of the best sportsmans in not just NASCAR, but maybe even all sports
They edited it when Jimmie says to chad, "we gotta get 8." That's only half that sentence. I saw the full sentence on Scan All and he actually says, "We gotta get 8 for you." To tie chad with dale inman.
I just rewatched this for the first time since 2016, and wow! Special memory as a life long 48 fan. Hated to see Carl retire after that race, class act for sure
That's why I love Edwards. He was at the highest of highs and was brought to the lowest of lows and still found a way to perform a class act like that. Freakin hate Logano for that. Gonna miss Smoke. Congrats JJ!
Great job putting these together all year long. Thanks for all your work. These are always the highlights of my work week, thank you and see you next year.

Over 7 years later and this still hits in the feels and gives me chills everytime. November 20th 2016 as a Jimmie fan will forever be one of the greatest days of my life watching him win his 7th title. Couldn't believe it in the moment and its still so surreal 7 years later.
Best.... Race.... Ever. I'm s huge Johnson fan and I'm still in shock that he did it. Congrats again to the 48 guys for there 7th title. I've been the happiest man ever for the past 2 days. Glad to have 7 time as my favorite driver. Now let's get championship No. 8 next year.
The first NASCAR race i watched was the 2006 Daytona 500. Jimmie Johnson won that race, and he has been my favorite driver since. So Awesome to see him win his 7th championship!
Well chris, it in fact is. However, I don't think that is what you meant. But my point stands, Jimmy Johnson started at the rear, and people were pulling out of the groove so he could get by. This is because they are told at the beginning of every Chase race for the non-Chase people to not do anything to affect the Chase competitors. He got caught cheating (again) is why he ended up at the rear of the field to start with. Pretty much every one of his championships should come with an asterisk. Without a cheater for a crew chief he has zero championships.
When I heard that with the majestic music playing in the background, it hit me like a thorn in my side. About the same feeling when it was Jeff's last full time a year ago.
Jimmie Johnson started out in Busch Series finishing last wrecking etc. being a Danica Patrick but Jeff Gordon saw something and brought him to the cup and here he is.
I have watched Race Hub since its inception and this is by far the best Radio Active ever! The music, the in-car sounds. I swear it gives me goosebumps and I've watched it like 20 times.
NASCAR will never be as fun to watch and I will never be able to pull for another driver the way I did for Jimmie, my all time favorite driver and one of the best to ever do it
God Carl is the man. I miss him on the track and on the scene period. Been a fan of him every since he took over that car for Jeff Burton. This sport needs more people like him.
This edition is by far the best Radioactive I have ever watched. That music in the beginning and during the final lap give me goosebumps every time. This video makes me very proud to be a long time Johnson fan. #se7en
I know this was nearly 5 years ago, but god this video still gives me goosebumps every time. I love Jimmie Johnson so much and it sucks he’s gone now, but now I look forward to seeing how well he does in Indycar and IMSA. Love you Jimmie Johnson Mr. 7 time
Was a Jimmie hater after he won #3 but actually started cheering for him again this year and I hope he gets #8. He and his team are the greatest this sport's ever seen. Period. Hopefully for 100 wins as well.
Man. So many great moments at the end there: Carl being one of the only drivers (to my knowledge) to be so great, lovely and understanding to Joey Logano, all the moments involving Tony, and Jimmie coming all the way from the back to win the 7th. The Jimmie Johnson moment being extra emotional for two reasons: 1) The sole theme and atmosphere set at the absolutely fantastic intro and 2) because, as of writing this, Chad never got Jimmie the 8th, since he's heading to the 24 team and could be the last one JJ gets (if his 2018 season is any indication). I couldn't help but be brought to tears-hard.
I remember this race like it was yesterday, and how much it meant to my family. I came back to relive this experience, and it hits me just as hard now as it did 5 years ago. I'll miss him in NASCAR, he's been a legend in the sport, but hopefully he can keep up his momentum in IndyCar. Let's do it Jimmie 🏆
Carl is such a cool and genuine dude. Doesn't get caught up in all the drama or make excuses like so many others. Just understands the sport and does his best.
It was a great moment and NASCAR Productions got all the sound, but had to be cut from the show version because of time...we're working on a 30-min show that will definitely include this!
That's awesome. I'm relatively new to the sport (I started in '11) But when JJ won his 6th I was like 'Man this dude is awesome. 6 titles?!" But seeing his 7th... dang.
Noone can say Johnson cheated in this race. He won the race and championship, the hard way, and with his team behind him. Also, I give my props to Edwards for the class-act after the wreck, by walking over to the 22 pit crew and apologizing. I respect him for that. Finally, I will miss Smoke. He may have never been my favorite driver, but... He sure brought the sport a lot of memories. A true champion and one of the best drivers to get behind the wheel of a stock car.
"I wish my old man could be here to shake your hand, he'd say you're a badass" Dale Jr to Jimmie Johnson 🙏🏼👼🏼

Shadow Williams I doubt he would say that
hell yeah man, Jimmie is a cool dude
James Gentry Dale Jr. did say it at 8:06 and I'm pretty sure he would know better than anyone what his Dad would think/say about J.J.'s win/championship.
Shadow Williams made me smile
It just warmed my heart when Dale Jr came up and said "I wish my ol man could be here to shake your hand because he'd say your a badass"

You know, I like the Hendrick guys, but I don't like JGR, but Carl's actions, his calmness, and his overall attitude gained him a new fan.
