This brought so many memories, especially the ‘sugar butties😂. Spent my childhood/teenage days in New Road, then worked in Tuebrook Laundry till joining the RAF. Thank you Tomie. If anyone has any photos of Tuebrook laundry (60s/70s) that would be amazing
Marvellous thanks I loved it I myself was brought up there How things have changed and in the words of John Lennon some have changed some forever not for better some have gone and some remain . & once again thanks
I collaborated on this song with Tommy I provided all the images to create the video and the Facebook group I run is mentioned in the song "Tuebrook Uncovered" my grateful soul. Is it true that Tommy has now passed away ? :-(
Every photo/video ive seen of New Road our house that was is just out of shot, i'd love to see that tatty front door and the step i used to play on just one more time.
Lol my mum & dad ran the pub on the corner, The Tuebrook (Inn) next to the Mission. 266 West Derby Road. It was demolished for the duel carriageway. Not sure how old you are but did you know the Pickles? Stephen, John and Anne?
