Unity. Hi I never comment. But just love those purple socks. And just so you know strangers who do not comment were worried about you too, So glad you are well,
Sorry to worry you! I only announced the break on FB, because I can't control when people will see videos I post here, so they might see it in two years and think, "Uh Oh!"
Unity! Porchlight! Ok, now that that’s out of the way…. I’m so so so so happy to see your face again! And incredible knitting, that’s a lot of completed projects. 🙌 The yarn from your sister is beautiful and now that it’s socks, you’ll be able to see it more often. ❤ I think the pink for the wedding dress looks good on you! Glad you’re back and happy. 😊
Porch Light. Thanks for sharing the beautiful socks. This year I knitted my 1st pair of socks, inspired by you. Thank you for your encouragement. Karen
Wow! Love all the socks you have knit… especially Porch Light 🤩 I really enjoy listening to your podcasts… feels like listening to a friend chatting along. Thank you for making them 😊
from Gerry- I only did socks # 1, 3, 7. I love each but I find that most are way beyond my skill level even though I have been knitting all my life. I am mesmerized by your work. Well done. God bless. Porch light!
Lovely, lovely socks! I hope that John feels better soon. Glad you're back, but also glad you recognized the need for a break and took it. Self care is so critical to our health. ❤
I love the Porch Light socks! “If you go to clown school at night…” 🤣🤣🤣 The Lempy socks need a home where they will be loved. Turns out I foster socks like you and John foster doggies. 🤪😁 For years “cute socks” were on my stocking list for my husband at Christmas time. -Tami #socklover
Lempi. Nice to see you back! Maybe getting the book will motivate me to knit more socks… seriously considering getting this. All the pairs you’ve shown are so pretty!
Thumbs up for John!! 29:00 My daughter preordered 52 Socks for me- so it has been years. I’ve knit 1 pair. :/ (the text is too light for my old eyes!). I am so-o-o proud of you for knitting all those socks and continuing to plow ahead! I just found a young dyer nearby, totally different from my dying! Bought 4 skeins of her sock yarn. Monk and Moose Fiber Co. I’m diving back into the book. Love those Unity socks!
Unity. ❤ Wear the pink Crespedia socks to the wedding rehearsal. Your sister will be there with you. If you are worried about the dress color, knit a shawl to wear with it that goes with the pink, but is a better color for you so it's that color close to your face. Hope John feels better!
I love the brighter colors, both Lempi, and morning coffee. I think that pink will look fine on you, but maybe you could get a pink that is a little richer in color and still be in the dress code? Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful fiber with us!
So happy to see you back again :) Get well soon John! Can't believe you're knocking out so many socks so frequently!! I take so long to finish projects. I would love any of the socks you're sending out, but Unity are pretty! I really like the zig zag ones from the sock madness
UNITY! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻I loved seeing all the socks.❤ I remember when you knit the yellow gold pair and ran out of yarn. I think it was a live where you brought in the other scrap and it was an amazing save.
Unity! Porch light! I feel like we are shouting our fiber safe words :) You always make me smile so glad to see your face again. I have been trying to finish my first pair of socks for 4yrs! (cerebral palsy and fibromyalgia :)) ) Any advice on a pattern I might be able to finish? All of your socks are swoony!
@@FiberLoveDiary i'd say im an advanced beginner in denial :)) The first thing i bought to spin was some suri alpaca I got ripped off as they sent me mainly garden waste but funds are short so I taught myself with roughly 2inch staple length. When a girl and her fam need socks you gotta do what you gotta do, right? ! Thank you lovely xx
What a fun package!!! There's some nice looking socks in that second book. I really like a lot of your dye jobs for the socks you did using those yarns. Looking forward to the branches sock. I take it you used the stitch count in the book for those? Did the Unity ones fit you? I assume they did. Awe, cool about the Mowry sock/yarn. That Fiona is a pretty color. Seeing yours makes me want hit the book up again lol. Feel better John, allergies suck. I like the yarn in the porch light socks. That top color on the Lempi would have been cool where the red is I bet. Are the slip stitch thick? The last 2 were nice too. The hot pink ones look difficult.
I did use the stitch count in the book for Branches. I would knit them again. They all pretty much fit, but yes, the Unity in particular fit me. I hope you try the book again. I learned that the yarn choice makes all the difference for how much I like them! They slip stitch socks were just a tad thicker than usual, but not stiff or anything.
@@FiberLoveDiary i actually don't. i'm pretty good, better than most i'd say, at filling my day, because i do have so many things i love to do. . but here at someone else's house i ran out of good you tube to watch. right now knitting some possum/merino (!) my friend brought as a gift from new zealand. i'm also so impressed with your sockness. i have a goal this year (this winter) to make just one pair!
@@FiberLoveDiary well this might get up twice but.. i think i hit the wrong button. of course. but i don't usually get bored as i have so many interests. but i'm at someone else's house with you tube and ran out of fun stuff. now knitting with possum/merino i recieve as a gift and dreaming of catching some of your sick mojo... goal-one pair by winters end
These are all so fun and beautiful!! I need to get back on the train for this, but I have so much stuff happening so it's going to take me a while to get "caught up". I know, you said go at your own pace, but you're so inspiring and I don't want the FOMO pressure hanging over my head. Maybe I'll be caught up by spring... Love you! (Feel better John!)
What a feat of magic!!! Good to see your lovely face.the dusty rose matches your color perfectly. Try a purple shampoo just on the day of to cool those lovely golden locks of yours. Cool brows maybe: it’ll all sing!!!
Hi! New subscriber here! Thank you for knitting the socks from “52 Weeks of Socks.” I have the book but I’ve only been knitting a few years and the patterns overwhelm me. I think my favorites are the “Lampi” socks-I love those rainbow colored cuff & toes!
Unity and Porch Light! Love them! The leaves are turning to fall colors now here in Vermont. It's a busy tourist season. I'd love to get that sock book someday. It's on my list!
I love seeing all the socks. I love the look of patterned socks but don't love knitting them🤪. The Porch Light socks are beautiful. I should get some tweed yarn to knit with.
Thanks for sharing your socks! I love seeing them. I finished the 7th pattern last week. I need to pick out yarn for the next one. Slowly but surely I’ll get them all done. ❤
I love all of the socks. I only did one out of the book so far, intersections. It was my second pair of socks ever and felt a little overwhelming. But I've been diligently increasing my sock skills and will return to the book eventually for new patterns.
Seems to me the dress color should be good. You’ll feel better if you have amazing makeup and lippy on, I liked the suggestion of a coordinated shawl, and I don’t know if you might consider temporarily shifting your hair color a tiny bit of a tone? Those were the thoughts that occurred to me as you were holding the socky to your face. And Yes! Wear the socks, it’ll be awesome to have your sister with you, maybe to the rehearsal.

How appropriate that those lovely green socks are about bees. The name 'Imker' is Dutch for beekeeper!
