I love it. The oil was kinda overboard her hair looked nice and oiled after dryer process additional oil wasn't nessasary but very nice. Thanks for the upload
I applaud you for being courageous for posting content...so many ppl r so critical with not even one video of how they would do a silk blowout...with all of the expertise advertised here, i sure did look for content on their personal channel to see if they too are professionals... To my surprise...NOTHING TO SHOW FOR ALL THE ADVICE SOME R GIVING. Sister keep up the good work and perfecting ur craft.
EXACTLY ! ppl need not to speak when they can /have NOT done better! By better I mean POST YOUR OWN HOW TO VIDEO & hop off of this one! I loveeee to see black women showing & mastering their craft!
in my opinion you could of held off on all the extra oils , when straightening natural hair oil really isn't necessary because in the few days after natural oils will penetrate the hair shaft . you want your hair to be as light and movable as possible . your hair shouldn't be like when I move , you move , just like that 🙄
I'm so amazed at how us black women are doing everything natural and healthy now. It's actually historic that relaxers are not common anymore. I'm a nanny for a little black girl and I be side eyeing her mom for relaxing her hair because the sooner the hair journey begins the better. And I remember when I got relaxers as a little girl and my hair would be cute for like 1 week then dry then break and the cycle would just keep going and all my mom knew to do was perm my hair :/
Her type of hair texture will soak up all the product anyway. By day two or three her hair will be light and voluminous. So stop judging and just appreciate the video.
+j r That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The process is getting the hair done. After the process you should have the desired results...not wait days for them. I have natural hair. I do my own, and when I'm done, it's perfect. I don't wait for days. It's also shiny and blows in the wind. Not greasy and weighed down. Try again.
Her hair looks beautiful. There are so many negative comments but some will go out and buy a wig that looks just like that but say you did everything wrong but wash her hair.
why this lady look like she got an attitude tho.......acting like she didnt want to do her hair....anyways the hair look heavy and not light and bouncy.
+cherrypie10466 you got all of that from her face?!? The client is not smiling...period. I do not smile all of the time; but, I am not mad or have an attitude.. And, her hair turned out great! I love the bounce as well!
yes, I recently went to a Dominican Salon 2 weeks ago and I still have a lot of body & bounce. I explained that I didn't want my hair to look flat/weighed down. The stylist didn't look very experienced - even when she started to blow dry. The client didn't appear confident in who was in her hair. Just my opinion.
Jessica Butler I agree with you....So people just find anything to be negative about, because their life is miserable.😑...Her hair looks nice and who cares about the way they are looking...the video is about hair not looks & attitudes.
Why so much negativity? I follow white stylist and their comments aren't nearly as cold and venomous as the ones I find on AA natural hair videos. If she is doing such a bad job, post links to your videos so we can see the correct procedure.
i love the products i plan to use it i think this client is due for a serious hair cut her ends are so damaged and thuin the top is full overall silk press awesome
Iggi Collection you are so welcome. some of us holler black lives matter and they do but some can't even be nice to one another. take care.. hope you still want to do videos.
Amiga como consigo ese producto a aquí en Barranquilla Colombia y otro pregunta ese producto cuando se lava el cabello vuelve a colocarse ondulado nuevamente?
You sure have have time plenty of time to sit wherever you are and right to me. I am glad i don`t have to pay you shit for this stupid " comment." But thank you for wasting your 15 secs of your life on me :)
Uhm her hair is weighed down. Any natural would know that oil is not needed when straightening hair. Oil and heat is a big no no. No wonder she already has heat damage. And secondly whatever happened to detangling the hair, sectioning it, and then proceeding to blow dry STARTING AT THE BACK? This whole process didn't sit well with me.
yes, I recently went to a Dominican Salon 2 weeks ago and I still have a lot of body & bounce. I explained that I didn't want my hair to look flat/weighed down. The stylist didn't look very experienced - even when she started to blow dry. The client didn't appear confident in who was in her hair.
+ididntreallymeanit I agree .. It should be more flows there was no need for all that product a simple heat protectant would've worked .. No need for all the extra oils
THERE IS A VERY GREAT FEATURE ON YOU TUBE THAT'S EXTREMELY CONTROVERSIAL! THIS IS THE REASON THIS FEATURE WAS CREATED! AS A TH-cam LOVER IM ALWAYS ENTERTAINED AND LOVE THE VAST SUBJECTS, Variety is THE the best part,! AS A BEAUTICIAN (LIKE MYSELF) I'VE HAD A BIG DISCOURAGEMENT OF EVEN WANTING TO SHOW THE WORLD MY SKILLS AND MY LOVE FOR THE HEALTH AND THE CONDITION OF MY CLIENTS HAIR SKIN AND NAILS MOST IMPORTANTLY THEIR PERSONALITY AND FEELINGS THAT BRIG US ALL TOGETHER AS ONE!, The comment section is THE worst and THE best of YOU TUBES SELECTIVE FEATURES!! THE " NO COMMENT SECTION" FEATURE IS AVAILABLE TO ALL WHO CHOOSE TO HAVE IT OR NOT!! ....IN MY OPINION The YTBC IS BETTER OFF NOT HAVING A COMMENT SECTION! BECAUSE THE PERCENTAGE RATE OF POSITIVEUplifting CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS 1 IN 50 COMMENTS! SERIOUSLY!!??!! WE CAN AND SHOULD EITHER TRY TO DO BETTER! OR CUT ALL THE COMMENT SECTIONS OUT OF THE YTBC! STARTUP WITH NO CHASER, Its doing a HELL-OF-AA-LOT-MORE HARM THAN ANY GOOD AT THIS POINT!.....PERIOD!
+StylesbyBlendingbella for a Dominican blow out it would have been important, but not for a natural who doesn't want to use much heat. The less heat the better. Actually rollers would have been better. Most naturals avoid heat because it ruins their natural curl pattern...for most of us the kinky pattern is the reason why we like being natural.
I'm super confused. I have been natural for almost two years (big chop anniversary 9/8) I have not put ANY heat on my hair. I don't want to damage it. ok now my question rather concern: can you explain to me why it was blower out and then straightened. Isn't that a lot of heat!?
EVERY head of hair, just like every person, is different. I hear people saying all the time that they "are afraid of heat" and I wonder - why are you afraid of it? and who said you should be? of course - anyone can damage their hair by using too high a heat, but if you blow dried and flat ironed your chemically altered permed hair and it didn't fall out - I'm pretty sure you have an idea of what level of heat your hair can take. So don't be afraid - don't be reckless, either, but definitely don't be afraid. When in doubt - just start at the lowest heat on your styling tool. I have always had long hair - maybe I had about 6 perms in my entire life (during high school) - the rest of the time my mom pressed my hair with a metal straightening comb on straight up flames on the stove and I didn't suffer heat damage. When I got older I used a curling iron to straighten my hair and then a flat iron once they were invented. What temperature I use depends on how flat I want my hair. My iron goes up to 465, I think, and I have used it on the highest setting. The lowest setting is 365 and I have used it on that as well. I still don't have heat damage. I started my "natural hair journey" about three years ago - I'm about to go into my fourth year - my hair had grown a few inches more. My journey is not about styling my hair, but making it healthy no matter what style I choose to wear so I learned to co-wash and deep condition and wear protective styles, etc etc - but I still flat iron my hair and still use whatever temp I want. Now I choose mostly 365 because I don't need my hair bone straight, but if I wanted it to be I wouldn't be afraid to use 465. The reason they blow the hair dry first is because your hair is not made up of just one smooth strand - it's actually jagged, like scales that stick out a bit (think of this as being "open"). Blow drying makes these scales lie flat on top of one another (think of this as being "closed") making the hair shaft appear quite smooth. So when you run a flat iron along a flattened hair shaft you get a sleeker, shinier, smoother result. It may (as you said), indeed, be a lot of heat, but different types of heat that serve different purposes. One (blow dry) is to evaporate moisture from the hair quickly and seal the shaft the other (iron) is to temporarily lock in that seal while heating up and evenly distributing the oils in/on the hair to bring up a shine. Don't be afraid of heat - experiment. Too much of a good thing is always bad, but a little bit of a good thing never is. Here's to your journey - two years and going strong - that's awesome!!!
+Today's Special Minis thank you...I was relaxed for awhile and damaged my hair due to straightening wayyyy to much. I love the fro and would be interested in seeing what it looks like straightened. I'm. it going to though. I'm still not quite there.
her hair does look very healthy just a little heavy and greasy from product but she did a great job, depending on hair texture imit might soak it up anyway the next day and look lighter, great video tho.

those brows are like daggers through my soul 😍

Who wants to spend hours in a salon, only to have to wait 2 or 3 days to get what you really want? :/

I was thinking the same thing !
No
I was thinking the same, or Sanaa Lathan.
Idk About The Rest Of Them But This Looks Amazing To Me 😍😍😍
Very nice work. Your look as though she has 4c hair, which is the curl pattern of my hair. Any suggestions on what products to use?
Daily haircare on natural hair depends on how receptive it is to the product, so it varies.
i love the products i plan to use it i think this client is due for a serious hair cut her ends are so damaged and thuin the top is full overall silk press awesome
That was beautiful. At what setting are you using the iron to not burn the hair?

One of the most important parts is the blow dry, would've been nice to see it.

Beautiful hair 😍😍😍
when you put her under the dryer with the plastic wrap on her head was the dryer temperature set on cool or warm??
Warm
