My wife's recliner suddenly wouldn't open. i flipped it over and found the mechanism on the floor. I could not figure it out and found this video. Thank yo so much because now her chair is working again!!
Any idea how to adjust the locking of the recliner. Wen I recline it doesnt lock in like I'd like it too. Its too easy for me to barely lift up and it releases.
Can a pull mechanism be converted into a handle on the side? It is so hard for me to pull it. I’m hoping you have instructions on how this can be exchanged. Thanks!
I bought a recliner that is completely missing the trigger assembly. There's an empty threaded hole where it should be. Where can I purchase the entire piece I need? I have the cable, just need the trigger arm and nut with tension wire...
My latch snapped when i tried to open my recliner so i got my flashlight and a screw to look for the problem. Then i searched up how to fix the latch in a recliner and found what i needed. And now my recliner works again!!!😁👍🏻
So the whole problem was the nut? That's why it wouldn't recline anymore? We need a video that diagnoses the different parts & what each one will cause to happen. Thx!
I was able to replace the cable and the handle. But when I pull the handle something is preventing the foot rest from lifting. If I pull slightly on the foot rest itself, then it opens, if I push on the back of the recliner a little, it also opens. But it doesn't open the way it used to before the handle broke. Any ideas what might be preventing it from working properly?
I have the same problem my cable broke,i replace it.i pull the handle back it barely do anithing..but i have to use my body pressure to make it recline.😣
What I found out is that there are 3 holes where the cable can connect to the reclining mechanism. I tried the other hole and that added just enough difference to open the recliner. I guess the cable length was just a couple millimeters different
Thanks for the vid but you jumped from pulling it off to putting it back on without explaining that you replaced the tension spring/coil. I’m observant but some people may not be
@@charleshiggins8829 Lol no the nut was a side note if it's worn out but the video is about "replacing the reclining trigger mechanism" aka the coil spring and it's assembly parts otherwise the title would say "how to replace a nut" not what the title says.

Thanks for the video. This helped me repair my recliner. Some overall location shots of the components would have been helpful. Mine had completely come off and I had no idea where to re-attach it.

@@Dave-lw9mf I called American Wholesale Furniture and, after a bit of a go around, they sent me the parts. Anyone know where to find this part? Mine is completely missing.
Are the left side and the right side pull handles interchangeable? Or do I have to order a whole new Left Hand release?

No kidding, there was a BIG gap there for some odd reason
That wasn't an adjustment, that was a replacement of an 11mm nut.

Hi, my trigger mechanism is bad, needs replaced. Where can i get a new one? Mine is not a bolt and nut, its a rivot.
