Literally me and my brother took this quiz together to mess around. We continued to answer as extremely gay, and then extremely straight. The quiz results simply said: “you’re confused”
I strongly believe that this kind of stupid quizzes can influence kids to believe they are "trans". Because my sister spent a lot of time surfing the Internet. Every now and then I would come across her watching trans TH-camrs and similar content on TH-cam. It was about 2 years ago and now she "identifies" as a man. I blame influence of wokeness on the internet. It is not harmless at all.
Or maybe she felt like that but was too afraid to tell this to anyone else? I mean the fact that she watched trans people on TH-cam is not a proof. She may do this because she felt she found her identity. But whatever the reason is, I'm sorry to hear that. I also have a younger sister and I understand the pain you must feel.
me to dude, my sister "came out" but this time my parents are actually talking about putting her through surgery 😐try talking her out of it before its to late.
I remember when I was in 6th grade, about halfway through the school year, when I found all these different quizzes popping up as ads with titles like, “ARE YOU GAY? TAKE THIS QUIZ TO FIND OUT!” And, a teenager being a teenager, I clicked on as many quizzes as I could. Over time, I felt my depression getting worse and worse. Those quizzes destroyed me. Please, if you are 17 or below, please, please, PLEASE don’t go down the same road I did.
The end of the trans one is literally a groomer show of "aww shucks you aren't trans, you should maybe try thinking about that, click here to learn more"
A lot of pro LGBT stuff is groomer tier. Not all, and I'm not saying LGBT members are inherently groomers, but the media is. The media has been and always will be grooming kids. Dance moms, girls gone wild at 2am (cause no kid ever snuck out and watched that) music videos, clothing at stores. The world loves to sexualize children for money.
I get called gay because I have been single for a long time. Relationships are just awful. Everyone literally tells you , "all relationships are a struggle" so Im like OKAY, I choose NOT to struggle. Duh. Dont call me gay for that.
I had the same experience but then I acc am gay, I hate how people assumed it just bc I didn't date though, some people just don't want a relationship at that point in their life
Do you bro, whatever makes you happy. People honestly suck nowadays, put your heart on the line for someone that couldn’t care less, I don’t blame you been there a bunch.

I love who you are, what you stand for, and your fearless way of commenting on issues others might leave untouched. You are truly a treasure, and I enjoy your commentaries a lot. Keep it up.
I love how LGBTQ people will say “everyone’s a little gay” or “everyone has some gayness in them” but if the verbiage was flipped, and straight people said “everyone is mostly straight” the LGBTQ’s would lose their minds and say that’s bigotry and hatred. Lmao
You used "little" & "some" when talking about one part of your example. Then proceeded to use "mostly" for the next. That's not how such a comparisons works.
What? Most people believe it’s a spectrum but saying “some” for one thing and “mostly” for the other are two extremely different things. No wonder they got upset you’ve just got a screw loose 😂
@@BrotherHood-xh9sg right? Like as a gay person, I would totally agree with the sentiment that everyone are all "a little straight" and "a little gay". I would *never* however agree with "everyone is MOSTLY gay/straight".
Depends on what you meant by "Everyone is mostly straight", do you mean it like "over 90% of the world's population are straight"? Or do you mean it by every person is mostly straight? Which doesn't really make sense to me lol
I agree with you on the “not so harmless” aspect of these quizzes. Simple dumb questions might actually get someone to wonder about their sex and that’s pretty unnerving
Yes! Mainly the young and teens already dealing with confusion and insecurities that are part of puberty. Imagine feeling all this pressure about sexuality and gender. Meanwhile still thinking what to do for a living and what coffee to order. 🙄
More dangerous is that, those "harmless questions", and even medical terms themselves, like "sex change", do maintain false impression, that human sex could actually be changed.
I got the "traditional labels are stupid" one lol, and that's honestly how I've been feeling lately. I just don't understand the preoccupation with labels. This definitely isn't some new, groundbreaking point I'm making but it all just feels incredibly narcissistic to me.
Actually a lot of people search information about sexuality instead of taking quizzes, because quizzes always gets wrong and sometimes are random (this happened to me and some friends with some quizzes before so yeah dont take quizzes seriosly)
The transgender result was like "Are you sure? Don't you want to try it? You can learn more here". The gay one just let you be whoever you are. Anyone else notice this?
Yeah the second one she did, really seems to be completely biased, and they are trying to make people actually do this stuff, which is definitely a bad thing because it might meddle into weak people’s mind
Wait! Not only are you not gay, but you’re also not trans? What are the chances? I thought an overwhelming majority of your generation had to be one or the other? You learn something new every day!
Really like your content and honest simple point of view on these topics you cover. Only came across you tonight but have watched quite a bit of your content. Keep it up mate
It probably has something to do with sexual identity, which is bullshit because usually the sexual identity never matches what they are really. I saw a chick who calls herself a bi-lesbian (I shit you not). When she's just a bi girl who leans more lesbian. Wording is key here.
Sam Francisco had a lot of bath houses and available aids in the 1980s ,there are rumours that not much has changed..If a mans favourite drink is seaman , there is a strong possibility that he is a homosexual…
I grew up in a fishing town , Grimsby UK , we had "tomboy" girls that could outdo a lot of the boys , my mother even said that she was too ( in the 1940's ? ) but I never found any of them to not be feminine , I knew quite a few of them too , I used to "babysit" for families , nothing odd in that , except the average family was around 13 kids , and up to 22 of them in one case , fishermen would leave something for their wives to be busy with ! Total different world now , just leave the tomboys alone like so many kids I think they figure it out for themselves given the space ! Keep up thre great work Brett &Co.
I agree about the quizzes. Think about how impressionable we are in adolescence. If you already feel that something may be different about you and you start to read about it or take a quiz, even if it's meant for fun, you may validate it. It's like a confirmation bias. Even as adults, we do the same thing. It's like the old idea of not googling your symptoms when you're sick otherwise you might think you have cancer.
"Are you attracted to people of the same sex?" No "Are you really sure you arent attracted to people of the same sex?" No "Have you ever had a SLIGHT attraction to the people of the same sex?" No "Whats your favorite gay song?"
I can confirm that yes, Gen Z folks are heavily influenced by this type of stuff, at least some of us are. Its why I consider these types of surveys/quizzes predatory and immoral.
+liammckenney6792 The other issue too is no matter which social media platform one is on, no one should believe everything they read and/or hear online whether it be an article on a specific subject matter let alone social media itself. Unfortunately, some people out there will take things they read and/or hear online too seriously and too literally when they don't need to do that at all. Ex: There are ppl who are literal jokesters and LOVE to joke around all the time, but if someone doesn't understand the joke or that the jokester is literally joking, then they'll take what they said seriously and end up hurt by it. In those instances, take what's being said or what had been said with a grain of salt figuratively speaking ofc (abt. the salt).
I took quizzes, years ago too, but only ones about what killer/conqueror I would be. One determined that in my later years, I would conquer Tunisia with a single elephant. Still working on getting one out of the zoo undetected.
I remember when I was younger I took quizzes of which Harry Potter character I was, and now they're like: ARE YOU GAY????? 🏳️🌈TAKE THE TEST TODAY TO SEE IF YOU ARE GAY!!!!!!!!! (SLAYYYY💅)
Actually there are a lot of quizzes like the harry poter one in buzzfeed, but i think the most popular quizzes nowdays are the ones that are about aesthetics "which tipe of aesthetic are you?" "What tipe of cottagore are you?". (Sorry for my bad english)
These kinds of quizzes have been around since I was a teenager, and I'm 35 now. It's funny how impressionable some people seem to think most teenagers are. I saw one comment saying he blames the fact his sister used to watch trans TH-camrs on why his sister now identifies as a man 😂 Did he not think that she sought out trans TH-camrs because she felt they were more relatable to her situation rather than her seeing them and suddenly saying she's trans?! I watched a few gay TH-camrs when I was younger (still do!!) but I'm still a hetero male, should my tiny teenage brain not have told me that I should suddenly turn gay because of the people I see and watch on TH-cam. I don't doubt that some people are that impressionable but the majority have a mind of their own and know their own personal feelings and bodies.
Side note : I'm friends with a gay couple, 2 dudes, one of the guys does my girlfriends hair, that's how we got to be pals. They are both pretty stereotypical modern gay lads , good looking, dress amazing, apartment is very stylish and good fun to party with but I must say that I have never EVER saw a couple fight the way these two fight when they are drunk. It starts with them getting bitchy and snappy towards each other, then it gets personal, they get VICIOUS and it's like watching two cheetahs fighting. They punch, slap, scratch, throw things, hairpull. The last round I witnessed was in their own home and one of the boys ran to the freezer and got a bag of frozen vegetables and smashed the other one on the face and head with it half a dozen times. I said to the boy I know a bit better a few days later that I have never seen a couple fight like that before and he kind of laughed and said something like " Honey, that's nothing....a lot of gay couples fight like that" . He said the most brutal couple fights he had ever seen was lesbians, especially when one of them is obviously the dominant girl in the relationship. 🏳️🌈🥊🌈
I think the miscellaneous questions on the gay quiz are just based on stereotypes. Like you said, the sexual/romantic questions are really the only important ones.
Good lord, the quiz said I was a little bit gay. Was it because I picked ball lightning as my weather phenomenon and my favorite root vegetable is a Jerusalem artichoke? 🤨 I may be weird, but I know for a fact that I am straight... Also, Jerusalem artichokes are really good! I once went on a hike with a native American who lives on a reservation not far from me and he showed me his garden and let me try a Jerusalem artichoke from the crop that he planted. We then walked around in the woods for about 45 minutes, before we came to a small pond where the native American kneeled down on the bank and stuck his arm up to his shoulder into the pond, he pulled really hard on something, and then he handed me a strange yellowy green tuber. I don't remember what it was called, but it tasted pretty good, albeit a little bit starchy. Also, I took the trans quiz and I picked all the same answers as Brett.
Honestly we need more conservative, beautiful, woman, TH-camrs who are proudly conservative and make jokey content like this. Because really y'all are the message, the message that many people in the center and probably even the far left will listen to.
I felt when Brett was laughing answering these questions (especially the transgender stuff and giggling at the absurdity of it) is what I think most people’s responses would have been 15 years ago. Now I’m not so sure.
Ok, the end really caught me off guard when you said "were you really going to click off without liking the video first?!" Thanks for reminding me, and sorry for being rude 🤣
I like your name... it throws people off and wants to continue watching. I also think it teaches people you can have a "masculine" name and be female... THAT'S OKAY!! :P One thing I do agree with the movement is that we should try to not have objects or names be THAT binary. As people should try to not keep objects/things in a masculine or feminine box as they are just things... BUT I do think people take it to an extreme... where it becomes their whole life... It seems like they are genuinely making things SO BINARY, despite wanting the opposite... especially by identifying as "this" is for males, "that" is for females... as they change things about themselves to fit their "identity." It's like.... not sure if that's the way we should go about it. BUT I have always been a more "masculine" female. I am that girl who was labeled a "tomboy," and I think that's okay. I did go through gender dysphoria because I wasn't "girly," but I am so glad I kept that to myself... and at the time (i was born in '93), it wasn't as pushed to label people towards TRANS... I am okay with being a more boyish female... I think it's okay to explore your sexuality if one must. BUT LET'S NOT MAKE IT OUR WHOLE WORLD VIEW. *EDITS - FOR SPELLING...
They're obviously avoiding the word gender here, but they're still catering to gender stereotypes by asking for things like favorite color (pink being for girls and blue being for boys). Do you think they even noticed?
When I was very young and the first time I heard of being transgender I spent 2 weeks seriously debating if my life would be better had I been born a female. I might have been interested in this kinda test at the time. After 2 weeks of seriously debating if i thought my life would be better as a woman. I realized that I didn't believe you could ever actually really change your sex and so the point was irrelevant. Shortly after I realized that I spent too much time over thinking theorical ideas. That doing so was self destructive.
@@curlywhites It's not a relevant question or one anyone can answer! You are what you are and you can hate that if you want but your not going to make your life better getting hung up on something that you can't change.
@@curlywhites OK so why the Broad generalization at the start? Why the assumption that your experience speaks for "Every man's life"? No room for people whom had a different experience? Look I don't know you and the answer doesn't really matter to me. However it seems to me that you've chosen to speak for a lot of people you've never even seen. That kind of thinking is pretty much untenable. Saying "Every man's" anything is claiming a significant amount of competency. That's alot of experiences you've chosen to speak for. If you've got that kind of competency on this topic your definitely hung up on the question to expend the energy required to gain the competency.

I’m trying to figure out how preferred city or drink choice is correlated to sexual attraction.
It probably has something to do with sexual identity, which is bullshit because usually the sexual identity never matches what they are really. I saw a chick who calls herself a bi-lesbian (I shit you not). When she's just a bi girl who leans more lesbian. Wording is key here.
Because some ppl call random things gay

I agree about the quizzes. Think about how impressionable we are in adolescence. If you already feel that something may be different about you and you start to read about it or take a quiz, even if it's meant for fun, you may validate it. It's like a confirmation bias. Even as adults, we do the same thing. It's like the old idea of not googling your symptoms when you're sick otherwise you might think you have cancer.

In those instances, take what's being said or what had been said with a grain of salt figuratively speaking ofc (abt. the salt).

wow!
Lesbians definitely take the cake!
Yes, because hetero couples never fight and we've never heard of men killing their wives and vice versa 🙄

I like your name... it throws people off and wants to continue watching. I also think it teaches people you can have a "masculine" name and be female... THAT'S OKAY!! :P
One thing I do agree with the movement is that we should try to not have objects or names be THAT binary.
If you use the term non binary your not a righty in the least

When I was very young and the first time I heard of being transgender I spent 2 weeks seriously debating if my life would be better had I been born a female. I might have been interested in this kinda test at the time.
After 2 weeks of seriously debating if i thought my life would be better as a woman. I realized that I didn't believe you could ever actually really change your sex and so the point was irrelevant. Shortly after I realized that I spent too much time over thinking theorical ideas. That doing so was self destructive.
To answer your question: Yes, it would be better. Every man's life would be better if they were a female.
@@curlywhites It's not a relevant question or one anyone can answer! You are what you are and you can hate that if you want but your not going to make your life better getting hung up on something that you can't change.
