KD Lang has such a powerful voice and is imo the best female vocalist there is at the moment. She has also covered some of Patsy Kine's songs too, Crazy; Sweet Dreams and I Fall to Pieces. I have a CD where KD covers those and also some of Roy's songs too. I was fortunate enough to attend one of KD's concerts in person once. Amazing!
It is only when you hear Roy sing with an astonishing singer like Kd Laing that you realize what an astonishing singer he is. She is singing through his emotion and because of Roy she understands what this song really means.
Do yourself a favor and check out K.D. Lang’s version of Western Stars. Her album Shadowland is a tribute to the old country standard and is full of some great music.
