- We had great fun testing our spearguns last weekend. Tried various setups and got incredible results. The target was 16cm xps (ducttaped) resembling a true tuna test. No target switching to track the accuracy, which stays constant, regardless of the setup and distance (notice how spearo twisted the bands on bigger setups with no effect on performance 💪). Good job testing your setup! If more would do this the quality of poor shooting default setups would decrease! Shafts are all sticking to target straight and parallel ... that is first sign of good performance! I like the suction cup idea to hold the target ... does it hold well underwater?

Thanks! In this test the 17.5 bands are Epsealon firestom. Our spearguns are made to offer various types of setups so each user can adjust it to his own type of hunting. The setups go from 2- to 5-band setup and 7.5 to 8mm shaft. Pls see the factors of each of the bands described in the video. Given your preferences, you are free to choose to have less thicker bands or more thinner bands for easier loading with effectively same power.

The f 3 and f2.9 and so on stands for the band stretch ?
And i am confused how there is only one 19mm band on the bluewater set up aren’t you using two pulleys I thought an uneven number of bands only works with a mono pulley
The 19mm is a pair and counts as one band, i.e. you need one pull to load it. Yes, the f 3 and f 2.9 are the factors that determine the length of each band. The higher the factor, the larger the stretch.
Well done! Great accuracy. Was the aiming always at the center or corrected a bit? Is it possible to use the same setup on the wooden gun or it is not reccomended? Do you also plan to do such tests for Yumi model (it would be nice to see what is it capable)?
Sorry, almost missed your comment... The aiming is and should be with no correction, a flat shot across all distances. Yes, we did the testing on the wooden models as well, specifically the shorter Yumi, just haven't been able to produce it yet. The bluewater setup on the wooden series consists of 4 bands. Hope this helps
do you have the same test for 1m gun? would be nice to see, also do you make carbon 1m?
also would be very nice to have all detailed specs on your site, weight, length (with and without shaft), width, for those who cannot see the gun in person and have to order it online.

All our models refer to their effective length (100 or 110cm from the last sharkfin to the main rollers) and the mass-to-volume of the barrel is calibrated to neutral buoyancy with 7.5mm shaft.
