- Would love to have you like, subscribe and comment on the video. There's no better way to help us.
I was thrilled to see the mess around this lake drain. I had checked it the day before but it didn't have any of the debris that was around it today. There has been A LOT of snow melting and water drainage from the storm this past week, and the pond showed it.
I hope you enjoy the video, and thanks for watching!
It's a great blessing to know that someone cares about the water flowing through the drains so they don't over flood
Hugo. 😅hi😊
Great unclogging, loving the video 👏
I appreciate it!
Lake drains always deliver the good stuff in uncloggings. 👌
Great video. Job well done. Watch the cold it’s dangerous take precautions. 👍👍😊
WOW, you did a mighty fine job at clearing both sides!!!
Enjoy watching your videos, good job, keep at it,
MASSIVE amount of muck and gunk!! Nice job!!
Thanks Paul. You are right - that place is like quick sand....and it stinks!!
the snow probably broke weak branches. awesome job! thanks. 🙏🙏👏👏👏👏
Thank you. Yeah you're probably right about that.
“Dam”. That was really stopped up. When your hands get that cold. Clap your hands. 👏👏👏 and they will warm up quick. 🎉🎉✌️😎
Love the uncloggings!!!!
Thank you Beatrice!!
We got 15” here in my little town. Our power was out for 15 hours. The surrounding areas were without power for 48 hours. Down power lines and trees. You did a phenomenal job clearing that drain out.
Same with some of my family. Pretty crazy. These storms are always damaging this time of year.
@@UpNorthMowingDude Very unpredictable. One day you could have snow, the next day a bunch of rain causing huge floods.
Post10 give you permission to play with his culvert?
Post 10 would be proud of him. Great job
😅
😂
i was thinking did you put post10s rack back after using it
I live in coastal New Zealand so haven't ever experienced a snow storm but we had worst cyclone in recorded history last year. I think it's called a hurricane in your part of the world? Our local rivers did so much damage! Took out homes, orchards, roads, railway lines, bridges etc. I appreciate the power of water more than ever. Great job, glad you're safe! 👍❤
Hi Jo, thank you. Glad you made it through. The power of water, huh? Thanks for checking in all the way from New Zealand. Awesome!
Yeah we get plenty of cyclones in Australia but snow storms just dont happen !!!
Excellent work. I bet it was cold! No issues for me with camera placement! Thank you
Thank you Janice! Looks like I made a lot of people sick with this video. Glad you weren't one of them. :)
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
Post 10-caliber unclogging. Nice job.
Thanks Rich!
post 10 would be proud of you.
As for your cold hands...that's why God gave us armpits. The perfect hand warmers.
Great job, you cleaned it up so well!
Cool video as always. Stay safe out there.
Really Enjoyed that! not seen a lake drain like that before! excellent!
Thank you Peter! Cheers!!
Strangely satisfying
Thank you!
First time watcher, now subscriber! Awesome job 🎉
Awesome thanks!
Same here.
You did a great job!
Thank you!
Very satisfying to watch
First x watching this- great job, but exhausting…This is a job for 2 people. One in front and one in the back.
Good job, very satisfying for yourself and helps to keep you fit.!!
As a very anxious mom and grandma, I was petrified you were going to slip down that drain!!! What a dirty, freezing, slippery task you undertook there!! Great job, hope you were able to warm up with some hot chocolate in front of a fireplace after a day like that!! Be safe and be well!! Inspirational!!
Great job!
Great job 🙌🙌🙌🙌
This type of drain in this type of location would have to get a lot more debris to become a problem.
The water could rise another 5-10 feet without it flooding. The bottom of the grate gets clogs, the water flow slows and rises and the water goes over the clog. That is how it is designed.
That being said, it was still a fantastic job of unclogging. Great job!
You are correct Rich. I can't imagine it flooding in there. Probably the only downside to water getting too high would be erosion on the shore where they don't want erosion. Ultimately it's just fun to go splash around a little bit. :)
Great job 😊😊😊. You got it flowing interesting video 📹 👍. Good luck with your channel.
Thank you Mary.
Impressive
Great video👏👏👏
Great video
Thank you!
Hell of a job. A+++++👍🏻⭐️
Nice job.
WOW !!!!!!
Nice to see 😆
Hello from West Australia where it seldom rains, well done bud
I see many footprints in the snow, several folks have already been there.
Good eye. Looked like kids prints but there was some wood stacked down there, so probably a kid and parent.
Hey Skuller, Always enjoy when your doing this pond clean out. I feel like im right there with you buddy. Keep up all the great work. "DMK"
My man!! Was thinking of emailing you last week. Hope all is well brother. Thanks for checking in.
This is Brockly. I made my own content channel. Drone stuff. I really enjoy these drain clearing videos.
Cool man. I'll go sub.
Yeah that's a lot of water.
It would be great if you could activate subtitles please ...for us hearing impaired folks
Hey man. Looooove this update and unclogging. First one of the year and best so far. Ask the land of lady to modify the drain to help you unclog. Let us know what she says. The channel on the exit end has not been opened. You were supposed to do it last year in a video. Tad disappointed. So relaxing to see the water flow. So perfect for Saturday afternoon video watch. Cheers Mate 👍 👊 💪 ❤️. (Forget your name) lol. Have a great weekend.
Great work Mr. I like to see it how you unclogd.
Great video….don’t change a thing👍
Thanks Ryan!
Good times.
Ottimo lavoro.
Great job 💯👍👍
It is not insanity. It is life.
Somebody should def cut an opening on that other side. Seemed like it made the whole job easier having that ability
I agree!! I don't know the people who own it and it looks by all accounts they don't really care that much.
You must be hurting so much from the cold. Good job.
heavy snow breaks a lot of tree limbs, and they can get washed into the pond
I need to bring a grinder and make it cut out on that one side so you can push debris through better
I wanted to watch the whole thing but the head cam was too much. Turned me green
Sorry about that. I'll make it stationary next time.
Brilliant video thanks for sharing
Thank you!
You should get a pool skimmer for jobs like this 😊😊😊
What's the purpose of the vertical corrugated metal sheet? Great job!
Thank you for sharing ❤️ ❤❤❤
It was probably April 1 - Mother Nature's April Fool's joke! You need to take some young thing on as an apprentice (to drag out the big/heavy logs). Amazing result from a really arduous task! Love from a Canadian subscriber.
Great vidoe thank you
Does it stink? Could do with "smell ovision" !!
Ha hey Neil. Actually it normally stinks bad in the summer. Nothing to churn up the water, a lot of debris at the bottom of it - major gas bubbles when I walk in it.
that head cam makes me dizzy, cant watch,
Noted, thanks.
Nice job sir
Thank you!
Wet snow is heavy. Those sticks broke out of trees. That's easy to figure out. That's where they came from.
The fishbowl effect made me nauseous.. a video has never made me feel this way.
Good job
Its good to find someone about an hour from where family live
A garden rake and a battery Sawzall may help in the future..
What's the purpose of the corrugated metal sheet in the middle of the drain cage?
That's a good question. I'm a visitor to the location.
Im glad you didnt get a soaker! Would have ended the video prematurely LOL!
Great job, but don't you think you should stand to the instead of in front of the gaping hole you slip and fall into?
The water doesn't have much pull at all. Plus that hole isn't as big as it looks. I'm 6'4" 240 - I'd have to work really hard to fit down that hole.....unfortunately. :)
If you’re experiencing cold hands like that and you’re saying it’s hurting so put down the camera and put your hands in your armpits for a few minutes and bring them back before you get frostbite. I’m all for the content but don’t get frostbite for the sake of getting content.
Um it’s a head mounted go pro?!? And he’s got gloves
@@megsinaus4207 okay gloves help to a degree but if your hands aren't warming up you place the mother fuckers in your armpit. This is cold weather training I've received while in the army because I was stationed in a cold place. In extreme cold with your extremities you gotta keep them warm and that means placing them on reliable warm parts of your body like your arm pits leg pits and around your core where it's always going to be warm. Your extremities in the cold get a reduced blood supply so it makes it harder for them to warm up on their own and with gloves. Thanks for playing
Post_10 fan here, thinking theres a beaver problem on that lake, with all those sticks in the way
Hey mark. Actually there aren't any beavers in this pond. It's a neglected pond, trees all around it, fairly shallow, and we had a big wind storm and heavy snow fall earlier that week. It appears a bunch of branches came down. Either way, it made for a heck of a unclogging!
1st time one of your videos has come up for me to see. very cool lake drain! what state are you in?
Thanks Carol. I'm in Wisconsin.
@@UpNorthMowingDude then we're neighbors, I'm in MI
@@carolb29 MI is my real home. Born and lived there many years.
@@UpNorthMowingDude cool! what area?
@@carolb29 Born in Pontiac. As an adult I lived in Holland, Grand Rapids, Lowell, Ada, Byron Center.
Next time try moving your foot up and down against the grate to push the debris through.
Just curious about that structure. It looks like it is quite far down in the water, but you only clear the top six inches or so. Is it a solid metal structure below the initial "grate" you can see that you are clearing?
It must be. The water has never been lower than the lip it's pouring over.
@@UpNorthMowingDude cool. Thanks.
Where did the big sticks come from ? First, they are branches and I think common sense says they broke off from the trees.
I don’t understand why if you have a road department that maintains the roads why are they not out inspecting and if they see something like this they should take action.
Because it's a private pond.
Are you in post10 backyard????
No one owns this land, it is public space so No they are not in anyone’s backyard.
Or on the post as you did for the other GoPro that we didn’t get to see footage from until the near end.
Mount the camera on your chest instead of your head!!
Please get a tripod cause I’m getting seasick but love these big ungloggings
I used a tripod the next time. Some people like POV action but it looks like I nauseated a lot of people......more than in my regular life. 😁
@@UpNorthMowingDude😅😅😅
The constant moving of your camera made me so nauseous, I had to stop watching. Still did a great job from what I was able to see!!
please, next time, attach the camera to a tripod, because your movements in this video made me nauseous. Thanks for what you do.
And move the microphone, the sighs of exertion were overpowering
I like the helmet-cam! It makes me feel like I'm the one doing the un-clogging!
@ismailhoum
I know what you mean, all that movement is especially hard on me because I deal with ear/equilibrium problems all day long.
@@BEV323 thank you again for your job. All my respect for you
Agree and he sounds like he haven’t worked much lots of ahh ehh ahh
Contact Post10 and ask him what equipment he uses and how he sets his equipment up. Your videos are very interesting.. they would be even better and probably get more views with less movement of the camera.
I have tripods I've just always put the camera on my head when I do this lake drain. I'm going out there again in a couple minutes to do a follow up and will put the camera on a tripod. Some people like "POV", some don't. Is what it is.
Where’s your rake?!?
You got to lose that helmet cam you are making us nauseous
that is a massive pipe no need to waste energy throwing large clumps of stuff that can go down the pipe i get long sticks and thick wood but just help the stuff down the pipe with your rake brake it up in the water it will go
Agreed!
💜
This is like a Post10 video, with almost all the little nuances.
is it safe to park there?
@@kurumais Of course, or I wouldn't have done it.
make the openings bigger????
Try watching post 10 he’s a guy who lives in the middle of nowhere near Canada border and goes around doing this all 😮winter you will get some good info from him
I've watched all his stuff.
better call in Post 10
@@elton6656 Not needed. I got it! 😁
Please, please can you put your camera on the bank or somewhere your not spinning it around as this is making me feel really nauseous 🤢.
It didn't bother me one bit. 😊
I love this POV angle, doesn't bother me at all
.made me feel giddy also.
Made me feel nauseous too
Y dont you buy a rake
The constant camera movement makes me nauseous, do you tape using a tripod, maybe on second video?
Yeah I used a tripod the next time.
You should think about bringing the necessary tools to take out a few of those bars on the other side in order to have a wider opening.
😮
