- The first 2023 Forester that we've had arrive not pre-sold. It lasted approximately .8 hours on the lot before a couple snatched it up and upgraded from their 2015 Forester!

I'm on the fence about a Subaru. I'm considering the Limited, but I have been Toyota for about 25 years.
Your review really made sense to me, you hit all the practicality of the vehicle.
We have quite a few people make the transition from Toyota over to Subaru. If it gives you any comfort, Subaru sold 20% of the company to Toyota - so the largest automaker in the world bought into one of the smallest automakers in the world. They have confidence in us.
That's the same trim and color I got this year! I love it so far.

Very welcome! We can't get the Crystal White Pearl with the lighter interior here, only in the Horizon Blue.
Waiting is the hardest part!
Beautiful car but One complaint I have is that Subaru moved the USB ports to a spot under the infotainment screen, meaning you have to plug in there for Android Auto/Apple Carplay. So why did they do that... and there's no place to put your phone! So you jam your phone in there or run a cord back to the center armrest storage.
I'm going to play devils advocate here - Subaru used to have those Android Auto/Apple CarPlay USB ports in the center arm rest and people complained about the lack of easy access to them, so they moved them up front.
I think that where they are now is probably the better of the two spots and you just put your phone *mostly* in the cubby while plugged in. It all depends on the size of the phone/case you have, though.
If I didn’t live in the States I’d buy my Subaru from you!

Great video Tyson! My 2023 Forester Limited is arriving in a few days here in Montreal. Can you give me suggestions on what (if any) accessories that will be good to get for my new car? At the moment, I am considering the Rear Bumper Cover and Splash Guards. Are they worth it? Any others you can suggest?

I'm a big fan of the black plastic bumper step pad and the mud flaps (Not the splash guards). Other than that, Paint Protection Film, if you do a bunch of highway driving, is something that I always recommend along with Undercoating.
Highwall rubber floor mats and seatback protectors are handy additions as well.

Another great video - DO you have any news on the 2024 model, is it getting an exterior refresh like the crosstrek along with a larger screen. I want to getthe limited in this but im curious if its gona be any better. If there is no refresh, im going to pick the Sportage. My heart still wants the subaru

We do not have any news about the 2024's. When we ordered, there were no additional notes and no changes to the trim levels or colors we could order.
If you're in dire need of a new vehicle, but are worried that the Forester won't be refreshed, look into a short-term lease. That way you can get the Forester now, and then upgrade, if you want to, in a couple years. And you get to have the superior vehicle the whole time.
@@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist Great advice! I am most likely going to do that. Can i ask you a follow up - If our commute is mostly urban and kids are under 10, is there any particular advantage with forester or would i be just as comfortable in a Crosstrek. The only thing that crosstreks missing for is the rear heated seats! Forester is ofcourse a larger more capable vehicle, but we dont do a lot of outdoorsy stuff and we dont have a pet. i live in southern ontario, for context
@nimbala8814 so long as you don't require more second row room than the Crosstrek affords and more storage than the Crosstrek offers, I'd say go with the Crosstrek. If you're leasing, you could do with a Crosstrek until the kids start to grow a bit more and require more room, at which point you'd upgrade to a Forester or Outback.

The charcoal doesn’t show up as an option for me. How can I get that with the blue?
It's a standard option interior for us.

I want the dark interior so bad with this color but it’s only offered in the light gray! Interesting that wherever you are that the limited has heated back seats because that’s only on the touring model here
We get the Horizon Blue with the dark interior here, too!
Our Limited is pretty much equivalent to the USA spec Touring.

And here in Onterrible we are told that all 2023 models are gone and you have to order a 2024 which will allegedly show up this fall.
We haven't even ordered 2024 Foresters yet.
I'd assume that they're telling you that because all of their 2023 allocations have already been sold and they're not available now.
8-12 months to wait for a Forester and 5-6 months for an Outback….

We REFUSE to buy another vehicle with 33 year old Depressing Grey or Death Black interior colors that were popular in 1990.
Our Outback has Ivory interior and our Forester has saddle brown interior.

I have a black leather interior and hate it. I just ordered a Horizon Blue with the grey simply because it’s a lot cooler in the summer. I prefer beige or grey myself.
@@JJ-cg3rn The gray and black interior colors have been shoved down everyone’s throats for more than 1/2 my lifetime.
Our 11 Ranger had gray and black interior so I had it reupholstered in Red with black stitching to match the custom 2 tone paint colors. (Silver over Red metallic).
