Ivana, I just simply love watching your videos. I find myself breathing and relaxing from the stress as I watch you. Your accent, your soft voice, And how your words are thoughtful, not rushed. You are so talented at everything you do. I would love to have you as a dear friend and would also love to live in Cyprus! What a beautiful place it must be. Also, I know you will be anxious sending your son to the UK to study, but he will always return to you and will be more knowledgeable each time. You said, that most of your shirts are black. But since the cocoon cardigan looks really stunning, I would not change the ribbing. Maybe just consider to add a couple of white or even grey T-Shirts into your wardrobe to wear underneath. I think you would look really great in white and/or grey colours. Just give it a try and leave the comfort zone and see, what wonderful things can come from it.

I love West Yorkshire Spinner's bird themed colorways! They are slightly higher wool contents (and a little lighter weight) but they make sturdy socks. It was really nice to get to hear from you again; your videos are always so calming.

Love your handspun knitted cocoon! I would do black sleeves. Instead of pulling all out maybe a a row of crochet handspu yarn edging to break up the black? I do love it & personally wouldn't care if my blacks didn't match because of the shades of color in the cocoon! Congratulations to your sons! Blessings

Once again thank you. I loved your sweater. But we each have a style, my vote is to finish it or leave as is. Great item to put on when you just need a little something when you feel cold, something like a shawl that is but easier to wear. Does it need sleeves. Maybe not is my vote. I know it is hard to let your son leave but it is the best for them to spread their wings so they can grow into lovely adults. He is ready now. It will give you a travel destination for later. About the Coocoon cardigan, you're right about the colour of the border. I would still make the collar but in a solid different colour, maybe grey, not too dark. And I would definitely make the sleeves in the same colour, to coordinate and make it nice. It looks really good on you, so don't give up!
Regia sock yarn is a great yarn for socks, because it can sustain a lot of use without tearing up on those spots that get more friction. I believe that roapy feeling you mentioned is true but it is more present in some regia sock yarn than others, and the reason for that has to do with the colour dyes. Some regia sock yarn are smoother than others depending on the colour. It also happens with other brands of sock yarn, i must say. But for me, the best thing about regia sock yarn has to do with the durability and the resistence to tear.
It's always so peaceful to see your garden blooming with produce.

Hello lovely 🥰 firstly love the shoes you wore at your party. My shoe game is so poor!! I drool over beautiful shoes but my reality is bare feet, Birkenstocks, ugg boots, sandshoes etc 🤭😳 dream vs reality!! 🙄
I’ve sewn cocoon cardis, great shape. I see what you mean about black on black 🫤 these days for me unless it’s spot on I rip it or pass it on as I want to love everything I reach for.
I’ve got a feather hotel grade pillow (waited until they had a sale as man they were expensive) but I was like Goldilocks for years, thankfully these ones are “just right”….. so important.

Oh shoes.... they are my weakness Karen :) Even though most of the time I spend in my Crocs and Converse.... stilettos have my heart and I just bought two pairs and one pair of boots.
The ones you liked from the video are Calvin Klein wedges and if you want to up your "poor" shoe game :), wedges are a great place to start since they are more comfortable than stilettos.
Whenever I'm down, new shoes certainly do the trick..... I think I'll need a walk in closet and then a bigger house 🤣🤣🤣

@@therepublicofme That made me giggle. I used to be in stilettos all the time when I was young, they were like sand shoes for me 🤭🤣 then we moved to a beachy area, young kids and sand in my toes. Second husband is only 5’11” so if I wear shoes he’s small 🤣 which I did in the beginning but then comfort has knocked on my door and I said welcome. I do love a good wedge though 😉 and high boots 😮 yes! I need a few me’s, one for city life, one for beach life and the other flying first class having fun!! Karen 🥰😘

I recently found the Margot Hat by Margotchien and she had this interesting detail where she crocheted a decorative stripe onto a knitted hat. Might you be able to do something similar to define the edge of your Cocoon Cardigan so that the black doesn't merge with your henley tees?

Lovely to see you looking relaxed and happy Ivana. Regia is very good for socks. I also love Opal sock yarn, also bulletproof and great for gift knitting. The ones I’ve knitted for my sons have been going for years. They only want to wear knitted socks now! Funny story… my son was at the gym last week, and this woman kept looking over at him and saying something (he was wearing a headset). He took it off to hear what she was saying, and she said… “That’s a fine pair of socks you’re wearing… I’m a sock knitter”. 😅 Maybe you could knit a grey border on your cardigan. I think a broken rib would look nice, and might go faster. One row 1x1, one row plain. All the best in the UK. 😊

That was a lovely start to my Sunday Morning and I'm sat here knitting on my west yorkshire spinners sock too! If you have chance when in the uk check out their birds signature 4ply, its wool bfl and nylon and really sturdy and good value, I'm currently working with 'starling' and my next will be 'jay' ,two birds I love. Good luck to your son in the Uk, he will needs those socks, this week the ground is carpeted with a sprinkling af autum leaves. I loved you garden footage, it reminded me of time I have just spent with my sister in Romania,where food and local markets are very seasonal, unlike here in the uk where everything is readily available. It made me wonder if you will prepare and preserve some to use in the winter and how you might do this ?
Knitting wise,I feel the same, I needs to finish off all the things , I aren't that bad I have about 7. Now your cocoon cardi is stunning, you are right about the black edging though a smokey grey/charcoal would have been better, but are you sure you don't have space in you head for one resting WIP 😉I'd rip out the black and hide it away until the mood takes me.

I have tried WYS Signature 4 ply... and I do like it. I already have "Autumn Leaves" kitted up and a few more ball waiting for a cast on.
I don't tend to preserve much of what we grow as we can grow pretty much all year round (expect in the very heat of the summer). I did freeze some of our corn since we couldn't eat it all at once, and in fact I had one tonight for dinner. :)

I really like that purple of your sweater, can’t wait to see how it turns out. Could you possibly add an applied I-cord in light grey or white to the button band edge of the cardigan? Then you would have more of a contrast to your shirts underneath. It would be a shame to undo everything…. Good luck getting your son all set for his student life abroad!

Ivana dear, so lovely to see you happy and celebrating both your sons 💚🌷 and I am also so happy that you received support and love from your community 💚🙏 I think the cocoon cardigan looks great on you, and I actually love the black contrast and would make the sleeves black...the black makes it even more chic...but it's so subjective...why do you think you would not wear it? Interesting that you said something similar to what I am going through with my knitting, and not only...I am always doing a thousand things all together, and it is kind of a way of being but it actually gets me sidetracked and stressed, so I have been focusing on finishing my wips and ony working on one project at a time (except if I need to go about and have a multi colored yarn heavy yarn project) it has been good for me to do this, and I am working on my third wip. I have also been doing this with my reading...focusing on one book. not sure if I can keep this up but it feels it's what I need now. The pillow quest...I have bought and have soo mnay different pillows! I am a restless sleeper, I sleep in every possible position moving all night long and it's just crazy! I know it's hard for you to see Nicola go to the UK, but I also know you are also moved to see him grow and start a new chapter of his life, and you will always be such a crucial part of whatever chapter of life he will be in, even when it is not necessarily apparent... sending you always much Love and Light Ivana, sincerely. Thankyou for sharing where you buy cones of mohair, the content of mohair vs polyamide and how you use it to strength blankets and socks. I to love Regia because of how well they wear. I’m curious to know if using a fingering 4 ply yarn that doesn’t have any polyamiden in it will still wear well if you add the mohair/polyamide blend that you mentioned. If you’ve tried it, I would love to hear about your experience with it when it would fit into one of your episodes. Such a wonderful episode and you garden harvest was so beautiful! Thankyou Ivana♥️
Dear Judith, I did try knitting socks with Drops Flora (no nylon) and this mohair that I showed. My son used them in his army boots and they held up great, although they did felt on the bottom. Ivana ❤️

Such a beautiful video, Ivana! Thank you for sharing your life with us. The yarn used in the cocoon cardigan is gorgeous! So many options with the cardigan…tear back the collar and make it a lighter color, continue the arm color with the body color, or frog it. I never feel bad about frogging. Some loved items have come out of frogged yarn. 😉🧶💕

I spray my small aloe plants in order not to overwater them, but the large ones outside, I just water straight on.... not very often though.

Trust your intuition. It sounds like you need to unravel the cocoon sweater and I can tell you from my own experiences that it can be very cathartic to clean up your projects by undoing them. Sometimes you make something that yes is very nice but you feel as though it isn’t quite right for you. It’s best to undo it.
