Highly underrated musician !!! The Band I was with "Connection" at the time was the opening band in 1988 at Big Kahuna's Amphitheater in Destin, Florida for Henry Lee. It was a great time. Henry was a super nice guy to talk to.
This is 10 times better then the album version.
Love his music still. So sad he is another victim of drug abuse though. I pray for him🙏

he was one of those had to see to believe how talented and fun his shows really were. Played his heart out at many crappy small venues back in the 80's and i was fortunate enough to see a few. background singers were great as well and HLS was a madman on stage.....who could actually sing. Hope he makes it back.
No...looked for them many times. Had problem with a word, however, asked Hank himself. I know them by heart :) Love this song and would love to have a good quality video of him singing this back in the day - I love this arrangement. He did sing this once last year at a bar in Indianapolis (btw catch his show - he is still awesome) as I had hounded him several times. The band wasn't familiar with the music but I loved that they made a great attempt. Take your hands off the wheel and Get your Hank on!
Awesome! I've never seen this one before! Henry Lee has always been a favorite of mine! It's a shame he has been so under rated! He truly rocks and this is a great song! Thanks for posting it!
