I picked up the JBL Quantum 910p - basically the PlayStation version and used it on PC.. I like everything about it, except I will warn that ANC on this particular unit is sometimes overbearing and places lots of pressure in certain scenarios, and it fits pretty loose so you can't bend over or you will loose your headphones off your head, and I do have a large head. Sound is great, I like the Spatial surround they offer in certain scenarios , but I actually prefer using Dobly Atmos for Movies / Shows and other video content. What really sets this apart from anything else I was looking at , such as the Arctis Nova Pro, and other wireless headsets , is the simultaneous connection. I love being able to hook it up to my phone, or other devices and play them all together.. I was playing a game- wife called on cell phone, took the call while playing the game used chat volume control to turn down the game a bit, ended call, turn game volume back up , with out losing any sound or without stuttering to switch back and forth. That is worth about $50 - $75 value for anyone who likes to multi tether devices. Sound quality is good , and can be adjusted to fit pretty much any need. I would recommend it. I paid $300 US for it, which I think is the max you should pay. If I was able to get the JBL 910 any version for $250, I think it is a good buy at that price.

Thanks for this comment mate. But - how is the mic? Quality enough for broadcast? I need one as a youtuber. But the 800's were pretty dang bad...as you can hear on my channel vids. :(

@@KathrynsWorldWildfireTracking mic is par, but if you are a streamer and want good mic quality , invest in a condenser mic or at least go with a blue mic. I don't recommend the mic for anything other than chatting with buddies.

Needed a mic test. Badly. Arctis Novas - make you sound like an airplane pilot _at best._ JBL Q 800's made me sound tinny and low-quality, but nowhere near as bad as what an Arctis would have done. Whenever I've gamed with Arcis-wearers, I have to beg them to turn down their input and stop clipping. They sound like the meme videos where people scream into a mic - except, it happens when they speak softly.
I think everyone is wondering - now that the worst problems with the JBL's are fixed (On the 800/810's, couldn't charge while using them before, only 20 hrs battery, etc) - did they FINALLY make a good-sounding mic? But, this video doesn't tell us. Pls get actual products, and show us actual mic tests.

Don't know if you still need an answer.
Got both of them. JBL Quantum 910 had a mircophone at very low level and at the same time(I love your comparison) make you sound like an airplane pilot at best. On the other hand Artic nova 7 has quite good microphone overall, at least it gives you opportunity to set them in the application to the level you want. I used JBL Quantum 910 for one day and returned it. The seconds point that made me very upset was the sound. Maybe it's just me but it was too low for me. It's application does not provide any possiblities to make it louder unlike application for Artic Nova 7.
I got them both for the same price and I would say Artic Nova 7 for me is 30-40% better comparing the sound quality and mic. Yes, I can't charge and use Artic Nova 7 simultaneously while with JBL I could. And simply lifting the microphone up to mute is more convenient in JBL than in Arctic Nova 7. But I prefer Arctic Nova 7 more for the sound quality.

@@biskay2216 Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! Yes it's still relevant...(now that Christmas sales are here.) I am using the JBL 810 right now, and overcame a few problems - but if you click on my channel on any of my recent LIVE videos - you'll notice the poor mic quality. Really no improvement over the 800s. :(
However: Free windows app "Fx Sound" can boost/equalize them waaaay better than any JBL app. (For listening pleasure.)
Also: I found out something - using the 3.5 jack wire WITH the JBL's increases mic quality!!! (Yes wiring up your "wireless" headphones.)
Someone on youtube demonstrated that - i'll be damned if it's true! This frustrates me. There's NO REASON for my voice quality to diminish over 2.5 ghz spectrum. Come on!
Something great about the 810's (over the 800) - you can now set it to NEVER auto-off. I was so angry, multiple times per day, my 800s would turn themselves off if no sound came thru them (I like to just hear "nothing" sometimes with noise cancelling.) It would make a horrible guitar riff, shut down, and sever my bluetooth connection with my phone. Making me reconnect again and again. Ah - no more! :)
I was so frustrated with my JBL 800's, I purchased Bang and Olufsen Portal - for $300 _last_ Christmas. (And that's on sale from $450 retail) O man! I hated them! Uncomfortable. Good "sound" but complete dog*** mic quality. WORSE than the JBL's.
Get this: It comes with Windows "super equalizer" with Dolby Atmos right? WRONG! The moment you turn off your headset - Windows disables Atmos! Wow!
Also - you can't use the headset with your phone (well) unless you download the app and REGISTER. You can't use the app without registering...no thanks!
Even worse - I'd be in the middle of streaming, ACTIVELY TALKING - and the damned Portals would shut off to save battery. That's right - no sound thru the headset = auto shutoff, even while you're talking. Unbelievable.
I came to the conclusion - I need an external mic. So I purchased a Sure Super 55, and a Go XLR. Haven't set it up proper yet. But really, headset mics just aren't there for the quality I want. NONE - sound professional.
I'll keep my 810's for now - as the flip-up mute is suuuuuper convenient. While streaming, I'll keep them muted. When I go afk for coffee, etc, I'll flip mic boom down, and talk to my people from across the room. Mute once I return to keyboard.
Thanks again for the reply! I hope _this_ reply helps anybody reading.
-JBL 810's are way better than 800s.
      -JBL 910's suck.
-Bang & Olufsen Portal are so overpriced as to be a scam.
I've sounded better (to others on the phone) with $60 bluetooth noise-cancelling headphones.

My jbl quantum 800 has a better sound than my artics nova pro wireless on ps5. Very disapointed. Equalizer ok sonar ok. Quantum 800 cost 100$ artics 350$. artics nova pro wireless is better only for battery . ANC with costume cushion ear is bad compared to the quantum 800
