I'm 53 this year & have been wearing make-up since my teens. (The 80's were interesting!) I've (too) many products and trends come and go. But I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I've learnt more in the last couple of years from Robert Welsh than in the rest of my make-up wearing years of together. Plus the hilarity of the mirror & camera trickery used for "The Welsh Twins" channel. Thank you Robert! 😊
Same here - loved the eighties make up lol. But Robert & The Welsh Twins were the best channels that I found in lockdown & they kept me going. And still are obviously 😍 Learnt so much, laughed so much x

Agreed, Robert has taught me a lot! But you mentioned mirror/camera trickery - are you referring to the twins themselves? I don't want to correct you if you weren't implying this, but...they are actually 2 different people. 😂 No harm meant, at all. I just know a lot of people still think they're one person with 3 channels.

I’m not that far into the video but as someone with normal-dry/dehydrated skin in winter, this and the new nars light reflecting foundation has been my go to base combo. So stunning on the skin 🤩
Shame they discontinued Ceylon. No other Nars shades match 🤧

I have the same type of skin that you do and I’m struggling to find a foundation/concealer combo that doesn’t settle into every line on my face or oxidize on me. I am 50 and I do have a few fine lines around my eyes and mouth and some on the forehead but nothing too crazy. I just cannot seem to find a foundation that gets along with my skin.
@@aleigha9141 you might need to improve/update your skin care regime. I know Robert talks a lot about how good skincare is more important than the actual products to make makeup look good

Robert, honestly before I watched your channel I had no idea oily and dehydrated was a skin type and it just immediately made sense of all my skin issues bc I was alway oily but I couldn't figure out why so many foundations looked so cakey or clung to weird dry spots. I'm so glad I learned about it more and I learn so so much from you every time I watch your videos. My skin is in the best place it's ever been and I've finally been able to find products that work well for me now and let me have so much fun with my makeup and feel gorgeous and confident in my skin and looks.
I’ve been waiting for this. The apple foundation made my oily skin into an oil slick, I could’ve fried an egg on it after about an hour so that was a waste of money for me. I trust your advice so thanks for this review. Love you lots! 🥰

I feel bad for you wasting your money, but let me give you a friendly advice 🙂 Remember to read what skin types a foundation is for, cause it actually said not for oily skin 🙂 I wanted to try it too because all of the hype, but I'm also oily so I skipped it.

Speaking of tricks to avoid creasing... I'm not necessarily a Jaclyn hill stan, i just felt like trying her under eye primer - and now I use it every day. I use the elf camo concealer and 8 hours in, there is still no creasing like I used to have. I was pretty impressed, and I wonder what you'd think about it!

You're looking so handsome today (as always!) I often end up using just concealer for foundation, to cover any areas that need it. I love the Wet n Wild Incognito concealer for this!! But,that eyeshadow look was just stunning!!🖤🖤🖤

Thank you for testing this concealer out! I have normal/dry skin and am constantly looking for a good concealer that won’t crease or settle into every line in my face. I would definitely have to make sure I prepped my skin well with my serums and moisturizer. I do think I’m going to give this one a go 😊 thank you again for always testing and reviewing; spending your $$ so we don’t have to. I love all your tips and tricks as well and value your opinion. I haven't had that much luck with KVD skin products..I am on the drier side but I do need a new concealer so I will have to give this a go and use your tip to let it warm on the skin before blending. Thank you for your videos, they've been so helpful to me!♥

Your getting so close to the 1 million mark!!! So exciting and so deserved!!! I've been a sub since you had around 50k so to have been lucky enough to be able to watch your growth, and then your channel with your brother is awesome!! I love you Robert. I'm a professional Mua but because of scoliosis and other back problems I haven't been able to do what I love for about 3 yrs ( I know COVID would have prevented me for 2 of them) so watching you and your passion for makeup is a real pleasure. I still buy way too much makeup and I have thought about starting a makeup YT channel but I'm self-conscious of my teeth. They are white, just gappy and one missing from the side at the bottom (genetics unfortunately) That sounds stupid doesn't it but it's genuinely what's stopped me.

Really happy that you tested this, I always trust you because we have very similar skin types. Thank you for your level headed honesty! When people review things with too much enthusiasm or in a hateful, bashing way I just don't trust them. I know you can be trusted.
I am a big fan of the KVD Good 🍎 Foundation with a light layer. Beautiful. I quite enjoyed the concealer as well. I was shocked after an all day wear test how little creasing it had on my oily dehydrated skin. It was definitely more matte than hydrating tho. I am nearing 40 too and the Foundation is a HG for me 😊
Edit: forgot to add it runs about 1-2 shades too light. I used 126 as foundation (in the concealer) and 109 for under eyes. Enjoyed your review as always Robert! 🥰
I was wondering if a light layer of Good Apple might be good for me. I like to wear very light-weight foundations/BB creams/tinted moisturizers but I need a bit more coverage that doesn’t look heavy. I’m in my 40s and I have combination/dehydrated skin. Thanks for your comment. Maybe I’ll give it a try but with a light hand. :)
@@DaniHMcV Sure thing 😊 I love it! I get a light natural fresh app and have used that foundation in so many videos if you're curious how I applied it. Don't get me wrong, I know some just don't like it or it doesn't work for them and that's absolutely fine. But imo many applications I've watched used a brush and a ton of product. Damp sponge is my fav. I ordered a back up and I haven't even used it halfway either. Also it's great for spot concealing too. Hope you like if you try 😁
I don’t get the hate for the foundation. It’s amazing as concealer and with a very light layer on the skin. I’ve never received so many compliments on my skin. I use it 5 days a week at work and love how it looks.
@@bleakm1343 same! Whenever I wear it I also get compliments on my skin. I really think it's a matter of application and how much product is used but as I said I understand for some it won't work. I totally agree, it's a beautiful foundation and lasts forever ❤

Always want to try the good Apple foundation when it first came out but was unable to find my shade. Then I seen on TikTok a dupe for this foundation, Milani cream to powder foundation. I have to say I am in love with this and it is my new foundation.
I love the good apple foundation, I have dry skin and normally full coverage feels horrible and cakes on my skin but that one sits beautifully, hydrating and still full coverage

I have a moderate amount of melasma covering the majority of my face and this has done a great job of covering without feeling heavy. For anyone else dealing with the never ending quest of trying to cover their melasma here's my trick. I use the Garnier dark circle corrector first over all my melasma, which does an amazing job of evening out the tone. Then apply my foundation and or concealer as normal. That little stick works so well at blurring the pigment without looking ashy and has super light consistency! The 1 big con is that it only comes in 1 shade which is really light so I'm not sure how it would work on darker skin tones. I have light/medium olive skin and it's too pale for me to wear alone.
If anyone has any tips for how they cover their melasma I'd love to know what works for you!

Thanks for the video, @Robert Welsh - my daughter (nearly 9) & I (nearly 5 times older than her, haha) love watching your videos; my bday is Halloween, so we're year-round spooky lovers too! 😁 I'm trying to get back into makeup, but I find it difficult with my oily-yet-dry skin, & it's nice to find someone with similar issues that actually knows how to work with it. Back in the day, it was just some black eyeliner & shadow, & using black eyeliner as a lipliner with my red lipstick - I adore watching you make the much more imaginative eye looks that I currently want to wear! Thanks again; your videos are great & never fail to entertain & inform. 😊

Hei Robert 💜 for your Stress eye , I had it to for quite a while , what helped me was cutting of caffeine and black tee and a back stretch before sleeping …hope u gonna feel better soon 💜

ROBERT!! That look at the end - GORGEOUS!!!! And I love the foundation but I don't feel like they have that great of a color range, I bought two different shades and both were pretty yellow on me when I tried getting the most neutral colors. I do want to try this concealer very much!
