Thank you Jim. Very informative. I have to do my oil change from now on because the Chrysler Dealership here in Bakersfield, California change my oil soon as I got home after driving 6 miles. Oil poured down onto my driveway. Come to find out, mishap caused by negligence. It was a piss poor job.
I have this same vehicle. I was just watching to see if I could pickup any new tricks or learn something that I didn't realize. For starters, would be much better to take that top cover off completely. It's just sitting over the engine. It'd not even screwed or bolted on. Second, if you take the filter off first, it will drain better. Third, it takes 5 pumps in run position. NOT 3. and lastly how did you even check to see if you reset the percentage to 100% you need to flip to the oil percentage screwed under the truck Icon to see this. You kept it on the MPH screen. Lol 🙈 😆 so honestly, you really couldn't confirm it was actually reset. 🙈
🤣🤣🤣🤣 okay so I think that's pretty damn funny in my opinion...unfortunately you're a "Richard" for the way you gave your input 😂 but I'll thank you for taking on the role of enlightener on a few pointers. I considered giving my opinion/suggestion also on releasing the filter pressure before you drain and also removing the engine cover, but I didn't want to come off like a dick towards a seemingly kind gentleman who's simply helping others out there who regressed a little on the evolutionary scale. Sadly, there's probably a staggering percentage of people who don't know a brake reservoir from a windshield washer fluid tank. Sadly common sense is NOT very common these days...so while a bunch of us laughed at the bloopers, imagine the millennials and dimwits out there who will be "changing their oil", but instead end up draining their tyranny pan, and then they'll over fill the radiator with 6 quarts of 15w40 differential fluid and completely shatting the bed. So yea, I take it with a grain of salt yet I'm thankful for anyone willing to share like this video for guidance.
for years GM models used the 3 pump reset but every make and model had it's own formula to reset the oil, but maybe the 3 pump reset is the preferred method nowadays because that's the way my 2015 Jeep is...without starting the vehicle, turn the ignition on, wait for the system check to complete then do 3 complete pedal pumps on the accelerator, wait a couple of seconds then you should be good to full start the vehicle...surprised I executed it on my first try
Really slow oil change. You aren't making money on this. You take the filter out first, then raise it, and drain the oil. using a smaller capture device would help you a million times over, so that you don't have to waste the time to raise it up very high. Are you really getting paid by the hour to do an oil change? Seeing how everyone loses money on them. You get them done fast and not play stupid games like this! So far I find your videos worse that a new tech's attempts at doing anything. I would have to say that no one should watch these videos as this dude will cost you time and money!
it's an educational how-to video most likely for someone at home not a productivity assessment for the shop. I'm curious as to why a seasoned professional in the field would be watching these simple how-to videos? Are you learning something new perhaps?? If not, it's cool to move on with your day instead of insulting this guy who is just helping people out.
Wow. If those 30 seconds are so important to you, i cant imagine how much money you lost watching this video and spewing your hate in the comment section. Besides that. Do you know how much well deserved money is made from his 166k subscribers? I noticed you have 56 subscribers. Ill pray for you.

Great Job! 👍🏾 Thank You!
thanks Jim, thats looks easy enough for me to do.
Seeing how one should always take the top filter out before!

Thank you sir for this video very useful....... Good luck 👍
Awesome educational video. Thank you for sharing it.
I'm pretty sure it takes 5 compressions of the gas pedal to reset to 100 % not 3. I think that is why it ever worked the 3 times he tried.
Yep I think you’re right
